Yes I definitely think so. They look very strong across all areas in the starting 11 if they sign Kane and having already signed Kim Min-jae to partner De Ligt.

Think Kane is the perfect striker for them as he'll easily get 30+ and can provide for the likes of Sane and Gnaby also.
Their 2024 transfer plan surely has to be to move on from Sane and Gnabry

A. It’s obvious he prefers us over Bayern

B. Please list me the examples of this? In a singular window. Also for the love of god people stop saying Spurs are rivals. They are not our rivals. We aren’t Arsenal

C. He’s already folded. He’s accepted a bid. Our people unware of what is actually happening here. Look beyond your noses. Spurs have accepted a bid for Harry Kane to leave their club. That means they are ALLOWING HIM TO LEAVE.
I get club tainted glasses and all but...if Kane wants to leave Tottenham to finally win some trophies, joining you would make no sense at all, sorry.

I'm sure he has quite a lot of flex as a partner beyond just asking politely.
In legal terms yes? In the terms that Levy is the chairman, owns 30%, is the marketing director for the parent company, has worked with him for years and is close friends. No.

The idea that Levy is under any type of real pressure about this in practical terms is just an absurd idea.

Joining Bayern to win a trophy that in the grand scheme of things ranks among the Scottish premiership these days means very little to anyone outside of Germany.

Wonder how Tottenham will do this season without him, who's going to score the goals for them? Richarlison gets more yellows for celebrating goals than he scores actual goals. Kane has carried Tottenham for these last years and replacing all those goals is an impossible task

The "all time" premier league goal scoring record is only 31 years old.

Jimmy Greaves holds the real "all time" top flight record with 357 goals. Sky like to push the idea that football started in the early 1990s.
If you want to go back that far, why not include Dixie Dean? He scored more than Jimmy.

We have learnt our lesson from Frenkie DeJong saga.

Player has shown no inclination to play for us.

Let's move on.

Meh still disagree. Being the all-time PL top scorer separates you more than being a Bundesliga and UCL winner. Which isn't even a guarantee.
Out of your mind if you think it's worth more than being a UCL winner. No player would share that opinion.

Kane is 100m euros. £86m pound.
The other 2 lads would cost a combined 60m euro-ish. So assuming we ignored the pressing issues from not getting them; we would still have to find 40m+ on top to fund a bid for Kane.

that may help you score enough goals to challenge but what do you do when you face injuries and suspensions in defence and midfield?

it appears at the moment that it’s one or the other scenario

That'd depend on how much he backs himself tbf. I'd hope he thinks he's good enough to take the side who's major issue was goalscoring from 3rd to 1st when City have weakened.

He probably would prefer us, mainly I think leaving England is a necessity for him, not something he's always wanted to do.

Not happening anyway.

I'm not talking about legal. I think the idea that Levy would not be materially pressured by Lewis is absurd. To insinuate all Lewis can do is "politely ask" is playing down the influence partners can have on the matter. It's obviously Levy's decision, but Lewis can materially pressure him into putting his mental bias aside.

We don't have the money .. a large chunk of what we'll raise will go out to get a midfielder and a defender..
and more importantly,
Levy won't sell to us at the same price...

Yeah I have just had the Sun article from May quoted in a post. Pity there wasn't any more encouragement to back that up. So you see media wanting to stick boot in that's why we moved on to Hojlund a few days later.

We will have to agree to disagree, Levy is untouchable at Spurs and knows it full well.

Interesting to note how much credence people think Spurs accepting the bid has on Kane himself; PSG accepted a world record fee for Mbappè and nobody blinked an eye because the player still has to say yes.

There’s most likely going to be a crazy period of clubs on the phone to Kane’s agent now and Kane will look at what’s come in before deciding whether he says yes etc. if Kane gives the OK, clubs will surely inquire now that a price has been set. Levy can tell all and sundry to piss off, but that doesn’t mean Kane then accepts Bayern, which puts Levy in a shit position.

One thing is for sure, though: if Kane dicks BM around now, that avenue will be closed off to him for good.

Erik wanted Harry as his top target but clearly feeling wasn't sufficiently reciprocated. De Jong last summer but this time didn't get involved

So would waiting a year and saving £100m be worth the chance to win a PL next season?
Yeah I’m not saying we should necessarily match that bid - as it’s an huge amount of money given his age and salary demands, as well as likely scuppering the development of Hojlund who we’ve invested £64m in.

All I was saying is that team IMO is more than good enough to win the league. Actually think it’s crazy some people don’t think it would have a great chance. If Arsenal hadn’t bottled it last year they could have edged City and that United side you posted is much better than Arsenal.

People outside Germany don't really rate the plate and the goblet as much as you seem to think. It's pretty watered down.

It's about time Bayern pays premium for quality. Most of the time they get themselves a bargain, not this time.
Rinse them Levy. Levy the fee Levy.

Didnt he invent the game? Used human heads as balls?
Precisely, it's the Premier League goal-scoring record, not the football league scoring record.

Different competitions which at the time had two points per game and backpasses. This weirdness to bring in players from before the polio vaccine to disparage the PL top scorer is so cringey.

I don't think pursuing one player, no matter how good, at the expense of the rest of recruitment was the correct choice. Net spend this summer seems to trend toward 150m€-ish (assuming Fred sale, Maguire and McTominay prospective fees being spent immediately) already.
Kane also a massive drag on the wage bill.

Skeptical that on his own, without a better spine, he would turn MU into title contenders.
