Both teams going for it and some suspect defending is making for a fantastic watch

The big lump in an offside position was infringing the defender?
To be fair, having big lumps in offside positions infringing defenders at set pieces has been Villa's stock in trade for years now.

Botman was clearly onside. Those of you up in arms about it are focusing on the non-active Newcastle players, of which several were off but not interfering.

Yeah I thought that was getting ruled out. They didn’t put any lines up either

 Think they actually had the exact same goal disallowed at OT last year.

how though? wasn’t Dan burn or some other lump impeding multiple villa players while stood clearly offside
I saw Isak standing offside but Botman, who played the ball wasn’t. Could have been some other players impeding though, that I didn’t notice.

It wasn’t offside. The only argument is did Burn infringe on Cash, which it looked like he clearly did.

This so much more watchable than whatever City serve up tbh

Props to Howe. This is what English football should be.
