It boggle’s my mind. How did the club conclude that Antony was worth that money?

The difference in pace, power, and physicality is quite alarming. Today, and last week. Aside from the fact that we can't score a goal, this is the most worrying thing for me.Once again our opponents look so much more athletic than us.
Every game its the same thing.
How did the club conclude that Antony was worth that money?
Doesn't have the bottle to be captain.Bruno needs to take a deep breath
Corrected that for you.Antony should not start ever
The context certainly lends itself to very quick, emotional responses made in he heat of the moment! If your watch , comment , match day threads can be an interesting experience
Aye, let him take Porro/ Romero on, they're both gash and will take him down.Rash should be on the left. Lord have mercy
If he can’t learn how to manage a premier league away match it will definitely come to that.If ten Hag does get the sack ( hoping it doesn’t come to that), it’ll be due to the Antony signing. Crippled us for a couple seasons with that price tag
Problem is we are playing with 10 men (Antony) and we don't have anyone to finishThis tempo is unsustainable for Tottenham, United will have chances they aren't allowed to miss.
So it's finishing 1-0 Tottenham then. This tempo is unsustainable for Tottenham, United will have chances they aren't allowed to miss.
We desperately need Amrabat. It’s going to be a long hard season if we don’t get another midfielder in.
He spins with the ball. How did the club conclude that Antony was worth that money?
You can understand moving on from Fred and Mct but we do miss their athletic qualities, mostly Fred. The difference in pace, power, and physicality is quite alarming. Today, and last week. Aside from the fact that we can't score a goal, this is the most worrying thing for me.
Exactly.Corrected that for you.
Richarlson is like Antony, both think they are better than they really are.
Which is why the shift to being a "transition" team looks silly to me given we are playing with a chronically slow defensive midfielder. One would think we'd prioritize midfield control this season (and sign players with strong on the ball traits), but I guess we'll see how it all pans out.In this spell we’ve been in in the second, why aren’t we prioritising possession? You can’t keep handling possession over and yet continue to rush it
I pray that someday we finally learn our lesson and move away from manager-driven recruitment. If ten Hag does get the sack ( hoping it doesn’t come to that), it’ll be due to the Antony signing. Crippled us for a couple seasons with that price tag
Unfortunately we don’t get points per half.Passing was great in the first half outside of a few under hit. This half is very different.
Yes and I said in my reply that he's young and will likely be integrated into the team slowly meaning he won't be leaned on exclusively. Is this for real. We've just paid 70+ million for a striker. What do you think his plan is ffs.
If we don’t bring someone in then this will be baffling, our midfield turns to Swiss cheese in an instant.WTF did we sell Fred. He wasn't a world beater but the absolute best we had in terms of legs in midfield.
Give your head a little shake!Bruno isn't world class. He's bang average.
He is up there with pepe is one of the worst pl signings.25 million per goal last season…
Hojlund most likely isn't ready to score the goals this team really needs. He was bought for future potential. We have absolutely nothing about us up front and when Hojlund is in the fold, the expectation is going to be massive on him because no one else can finish the chances.
Probably wants more creativity out wide.We already losing anyway. Also was on a yellow maybe that also influenced thinking. Why is he taking Wan Bissaka off? That doesn't seem like a good idea
Should have kept himWTF did we sell Fred. He wasn't a world beater but the absolute best we had in terms of legs in midfield.
Because provisionally United have signed the wrong one. Still need more games but it feels like the Eriksen to Mount change has caused the team to lose too much control in possession. I still think the best iv'e seen United play was the periods before Andy Carrol took Eriksen out the football was the seasons best especially the performance against Chelsea at the bridge. It’s going to be a long hard season if we don’t get another midfielder in.
