Cut our losses. We need to accept that not every transfer is going to be a hit, and be willing to move players out faster when it's clear they aren't going to work out.
  . You expect that Murtough would manage to sell Antony for decent fee?

Do you lot want to buy Jahanbakhsh maybe? He has slightly better Eredivisie stats than this guy and we will send him your way for only 35 million.

He's nothing on the right, gets in the box and nicks a goal here and there, but we're never a threat on the right when he plays. Nobody is worried when he has the ball. He keeps playing because he's an expensive ETH signing. Eventually he'll get ETH sacked.

There are people criticising Antony but turning a blind eye to Bruno our captain & Casemiro our “best player”.
Antony clearly isn’t our issue right now, far from it in fact.
Except they were two of our best players last season. Antony has shown nothing.

I can see why the board might not trust Ten Hag with money.
Just a reminder that Erik Ten Hag wasn't that heavily involved in recruitment at Ajax. He then comes to a bigger club and is now supposed to be more responsible for recruitment as well as doing the stuff he's actually supposed supposed be good at (coaching the team) because of the failings of others.

He is an awful player this lad.

i have never seen a more one dimensional footballer.

ten hag’s judgement deserved to be massively scrutinised for blowing so much money on him

As if anyone wants to buy him for a decent fee. Who else was out there looking to buy him?

And remember, we've got £66m of his book value left as of this season. We sell him for less than that, then we're in the red for FFP. We sell him for less than £52m next season we're again in the red for FFP.

Our restricted budget just reduced even more. It's why you don't spend so much money on someone who isn't a sure thing.

completely out of his depth at this club, should be nowhere near the starting eleven. we'd be lucky to get 30m back on him now

Every decision seemed to be wrong today. Awful passage of play where he lost the ball, won it back and you're thinking fair enough, redeem yourself here - tamely passes it straight at the defender.. probably attempting a nutmeg knowing him.

He was terrible today. I've tried to defend him, but today I just couldn't. Wrong decision, pretty much every time.

.... Have you seen either of their threads? I can only assume you haven't.

But besides that ... They've actually performed to something approaching a high level in a United level in the past

He's our worst ever signing and it isn't even close.... A winger that can't shoot, pass or dribble. If you didn't laugh...

Doesn't produce anything. Haven't seen anything to suggest he can provide a sprinkling of magic or anything. No real pace, can't beat a man, unbelievably one-footed. Good job we didn't spend £80million to get him in. That would have been crazy.

How can this guy chose the worse option most of the time? I think him alone broke our attacks more than any Spurs defender did.

Hilarious there in the second half where he lost the ball, then won it back and then lost it again straight away. 80 million.

His brain seems to keep telling his his body that it can do things that it so clearly can't, and it happens time and time again.

He'll be impossible to move on so we'd better hope he improves, but he just seems to lack the attributes to do, he's not fast, he's very lightweight, can't use his right foot, etc, etc.

There are too many issues in this squad, Antony being one of them, for any one to be named the issue.

Ten Hag has zero excuse to not give Pellistri and, when he comes back, Amad enough chances to cement that RW spot. If he keeps playing Antony then you know he has lost the plot.

Starting to worry he's a dud, an expensive one. Usually feel you need to give players one or two seasons to settle but really not seeing enough for me to suggest he is going to be a success here.

I don’t dislike Antony at all but I find it strange how commentators so often say “his talent is obvious, the question is whether he can make the right decisions / show it consistently”. He doesn’t seem like a particularly talented player to me. They often say that about tricky players but it’s not like his “tricks” are particularly technical. He’s pretty good at pressing, he’s fairly selfless in possession play, he’s got a pretty good first touch, he protects the ball quite well. I don’t see any hidden talent that we’re just waiting to burst into the scene when everything clicks.

You can't have a wide player who is as lacking in adventure and creativity as this chap, sorry.
