Gray and Sancho calling out their managers/club on the same day. Nice.

Him saying he's a scapegoat after 2 years of atrocious performances is absolutely disgusting. My least favourite player to have ever played for us. The thing that makes it so annoying is I think he had the talent, but his mentality is beyond redemption.

Sancho is either an idiot or very poorly advised. Idiotic “statement” to make. He’s been a massive let down since he signed, should keep quiet and actually try performing.

Stupid from both ten Hag saying that and then Sancho firing back. These things should be kept in house. Very juvenile behavior from both of them.

Dig up stupid!
'scapegoat for a long time' says it all
Clearly this guy doesnt see any problems with his performance, he thinks he's being picked on

No Jadon, you've been utter gash since you walked through the door and if anything you have received a huge amount of patience from the club and the fans.

Look at the abuse Maguire gets - it's far and away over what Sancho gets and he at least did a have a decent season or two when he first arrived. Sancho arrived with the profile of a player to shape our future, and was rewarded accordingly - that he can't get in the side ahead of Antony and Martial says it all

Wasn't this guy given a 3 month break to get his head sorted while he was earning 350k every week.

Atrocious signing.

Who do you reckon will last longer? Sancho or Ten Hag. I'm putting my money on Sancho.

Part of the reason why City let him go to Dortmund I believe

I don’t think there’s much wrong with what Ten Hag said, probably didn’t need to be said and seemingly quite out of character to how he’s usually conducted himself though.

He just isn't cut out for a club like Manchester United. Very weak mentality and doesn't have the extra added bite, hunger and drive that is needed.
Which begs the question- what the feck were our scouts doing recommending someone of such weak mentality for £70 odd million and £350k a week?

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
I think ETH may have slightly misspoke and just meant Pellistri was better than him in training and deserves his spot…he’s made a mistake there in pointing people at Sancho and his professionalism. However, that statement is a fecking disgrace, he isn’t a victim, if he thinks he’s been great in training then he needs to get his head down and prove it to his manager. What the feck he’s been a scapegoat of is a total mystery.

Bit harsh of Hag to say that but Sancho is a moron for posting that, rather than getting his head down and trying even harder.
Think there's practically nothing Sancho can do to get regular minutes under Ten Hag and perhaps that's where the frustration is coming from. Ten Hag has his favourite in Antony who he committed ridiculous money to and he knows he can never drop Rashford unless for a disciplinary matter because that is the best player at the club.

Disagree. Even if what ETH said was true, calling a player out in public hurts him badly, and probably increases the amount of abuse he's already getting. You can always drop a player or tell him to find a new club, but doing this will just create drama and friction within the club. ETH was wrong.
Nahh, good for Eric to call out players in public If they don’t perform in games, let alone training. We don’t know the back story here but I trust Eric on this one. He’s usually reasonable and I think there’s no chance Eric would go public on this without a good reason. Sancho’s wages are among the highest in the league and, truth be told, his attitude has been terrible from day one. He’s never shown glimpses of what people expected from him.

Ten Hag always harps the highest standards, but basically the whole team plays below par. The players can do much better than what they are currently showing.

I sometimes think why can't we just do our preseason in England? Why go to Asia, the US, Middle East? All that traveling is just tiresome. And I understand there's a commercial aspect to it, but come on, this year's preseason was a mess.

I do agree that managers shouldn't do it in public, but I think Ten Hag must be really fed up about his attitude and how he approaches training sessions and wants a reaction from Sancho: will he kick on or not by publicly calling him out.
Not just a commercial aspect.

Our owners are leeches who want to bleed the club out as much as possible.

Two things will occur from this either EtH has done this on purpose to light a fire up his ass or EtH is gonna be pissed and Sancho will never play for the club again and be sold.
And nr. 3: Fans will start turn against Sancho.

What's with all the 'should of moved him to saudi'? It's the most annoying suggestion ever like it's that easy. Players need to decide if they want to move to a Saudi league. The guy is already is already on a lot money in Europe, why on earth would he want to go Saudi

Don’t think Ten Hagg said anything inflammatory. Sancho’s escalated it. Saying he’s performing well at training when the manager says he hasn’t is just ridiculous.

I gave up on him last season. Hopefully we can get £30m for him next summer.

Guys is an absolute loser.

He's been nothing but trash since he arrived, he's been unfit and the team even put on a special coaching package for him back in Holland during the world cup.

He just isn't it, a bluffer, a mirage, a perfect modern day, FIFA generation footballer, £80m and £350k pw for a player who can't play a pass at the right weight, complete 90mins or create anything of note during a game.

Get rid.

Has Sancho ever had a run of three consecutive good (not great) games for us?

He was given some pretty serious care last season, it can't go on forever.

Haven't seen the presser, so unsure of the context which resulted in the Sancho noise.
I don't think he's even had a run of two

If Martial is out performing Sancho in training then there is a serious issue with him. I really want it to work for Sancho but there has to be something up with him.

Stupid from Sancho. Shows where his and is PR team's head is at.

This is a player who has done very little for a while now. He should have got his head down and showed it on the pitch.

I probably agree Sancho has to go, but can anyone explain me, what’s the point of making such comments after a terrible result? What’s ETH trying to achieve here, other than demotivating Sancho and throwing him under the bus? We hated that kind of behavior under other managers, how come it’s alright now?

Been critical of ETH's purchases in certain cases (and of the fact that he seems to have so much sway and preference, when he picks a player, to invariably go for one he's worked with before). But the apparent 'non-negotiable' about character, as opposed to simply technical skillset, definitely figures in his favour when you see how much Sancho's indifference/ lassitude/etc has impacted his performances and lack of productivity. Rashford, Antony and Pellistri, for all their respective weak spots (either physical , technical or in tracking-back), all bring something more to the team than Sancho invariably does. The least committed or industrious of them all, as well as slowest and most easily bullied...
