I just want something positive for one feckin' minute! Feck me.
I think we can all relate to that :/

There is a game tomorrow so that's the next chance the club has to take a step forward. Plus if Amrabat starts with Hojlund then that's a few fresh faces to get excited about.

Who's saying he's been banished?

IF he is training alone, surely it's more more likely because he was in lesser shape when he joined and is therefore on a different programme?

We're keeping him quarantined from the rest of the squad so he doesn't catch whatever it is that's making them crap at football.

I mean the Manchester United recruitment team hardly has a reputation that would make me trust any of their opinions anyway.
He cost 20M.
What do you expect ?Prime Scholes?
If he is able to replace Fred with some tidy passing and not getting bullied , we should be good

Bayern? Ha I mean that’s a million to one hope there but I do love optimistic fans. We could be in division 2 and some fans would feel positive about a result against them.

'Manchester United recruitment team don’t think Sofyan Amrabat will succeed in England.'

Absolute pricks.

Maybe they should spend their time scouting better players, rather than gossiping to the media?

The clowns haven't exactly covered themselves in glory over the last 10 years. What have we to show from 1 billion spent???

Yet here they are looking down their nose at a £8m loan signing (low risk).

Alright let's stop believing what Muppetiers says guys  the guy has some connection in terms of getting lineup leaks shortly before release and transfer announcements shortly before they're posted. He has some social media contact and that's about it. The rest is just nonsense or educated guesses/common sense that any of us could make and can't be proven or disproven.

Personally, i don't think the Manchester United recruitment team will succeed in England.
Yeah this is why we need new owners so that recruitment team can get booted out. Definitely proves that they are clearly not on the same page as Erik which is a huge issue.

Getting it back on topic my gut feeling is he's on a similar programme to Rasmus when he joined,so reckon team training next week and maybe bench against Palace in league.

Everyone's going to have duds. A good transfer record is only usually separated by 1 or 2 players working out vs not. I'd say Ten Hag have been largely good, though transfers aren't determined from a few games or even 1 season. And generally even a 50% record is pretty decent and what I'd say would be the target norm. Above that and you are on a good run.

Imo, based on what I've seen and what I'm predicting, I'm guessing something like this as a hit/mid/miss for our transfers:
  • Eriksen - mid (free but super short term)
  • Martinez - hit
  • Malacia - mid (good squad player at low fee but unlikely ever starter)
  • Casemiro - mid (age, probable decline... probably would need 3 top years for it to be hit at that price)
  • Antony - miss, even if he plays again (gotta be a top player at that price)
  • Sabitzer - miss (but loan so whatever)
  • Weghorst - miss (but loan so whatever)
  • Onana - hit
  • Mount - mid (unsure long term position but he's a good player and good age profile relative to the midfield group... but why not just wait a year?)
  • Hojlund - hit
  • Amrabat - hit
  • Reguillon - mid (loan so whatever)
  • Altay - mid (backup GK who cares)
What is killing us is the Sancho and Antony level flops. Spent huge money on what should've been superstar signings, or we spent superstar money on what ended up being average players. I'm not unhappy at his transfer record since he joined, the fees can be lower but we're going after the right type of players in positions we desperately need. Mount is the only one who I guess was bought without a clear idea (and frustratingly, had 1 year left... just wait it out). I do like him and think he'll provide a lot, but no idea what the plan is in a scenario where all are fit and available. It's a lot of money for "part of the squad", amrabat fits better for balance, and he got #7 which certainly doesn't indicate just part of the squad. But he's not benching Bruno. Here's hoping he can learn to play on the right for our needs?
I am not going to disagree with your list, but how can you be so sure to brand a player as a hit when he hasn’t even play a minute of football here?

To be fair a lot of posters were gagging to call Mount a flop before he kicked a ball for us.

It's mad that some know nothing Twitter account can build a following pretending to have insider knowledge and everyone just takes the nonsense they spout at face value...

Some account called "Muppetiers" on Twitter says Man Utd's recruitment team thinks Amrabat will flop... then it gets taken as fact. Of course mate, sure they've told you that.

It's a prediction... basically if a player has the right age so he can be here for long enough, is talented, is in a clear position and role of need and a fair enough price, theres a much higher chance of them being a hit. Mount doesn't have a clear position and was pricy especially when you consider we could have got him on a free in a year, so he's the likeliest to flop. Hojlund was a bit pricy but I believe in the talent and think his profile is pretty rare so understand the price.

Ok, but that's sound more like a wish list to me, which I don't disagree though.

I think it reminds you of the LVG days. Picking up players that only LVG had heard of.
Pretty much every manager since Fergie left if we're honest, except maybe Ole (the ONE TIME it would've been great to happen!)
