It neglects to mention that there are exceptions and LeBron, Steph and KD (probably the 3 biggest draws) are all exempted because of age and minutes played.Tweet

Miles Bridges is different as footage was released later and his wife was stalking/harrasing him and him telling her to leave him alone. it seems mutually disturbed couple. Poor Kysre (my queen) was brutally beaten in her sleep and had her car rammed by his. Although her sister is a bit nuts, Kysre, seems a sweet innocent lady so KPJ gonna get cooked, plus she is the Goddaughter of someone high up in the Rockets franchise. He'll be playing in Eastern Europe. He will come back like Miles Bridges. NBA has a virtue signaling to the outside but ignoring them for its own players problem.

I don't know why the BBC are showing a picture of LeBron when they are reporting details about teams not being able to rest players because he, like Steph, KD and one or two others are exempt based on age and/or minutes played in the league.that's a great rule. Fans get screwed too much. most teams dont rest multiple stars at once though otherwise they'd lose too many games
Lot of talk about Blazers liking Ayton as a centerpiece. I don't see OG as a good option at all for the Blazers as he can opt out and likely will want to play for a contender. However, OG and Nurkic to PHX (getting off that Nurk contract will be great for Blazers long term), Ayton and good young role players with a bunch of draft picks to Portland, and Dame to Toronto makes a lot of sense (although I expect the Suns would like either Koloko + a 2nd wing player or Poetl who's probably not possible over Nurk). Certainly better than trading Dame to the Heat who basically have no valuable pieces to trade.Raptors apparently frontrunners in Dame trade race, with most journos expecting a deal within a week. Not sure how a Toronto trade would be structured, they are apparently unwilling to move Barnes, can’t move any picks until 2028 and don’t really have any other young appealing players. A Siakam + OG combo would only work if we were to reroute then elsewhere (at least Siakam) and it’d also not make sense to get Dame if you won’t play him next to them. OG + 2 picks would be a terrible piece of business for Blazers.
I think there have been some credible rumors about Suns actually wanting Nurkic for Ayton. We cannot get too many picks when dealing with Raptors and Suns, best we can hope for is Raptors’ 2028 and 2030 plus a swap. I think Ayton plus those two picks for Dame is even worse than Miami’s offer (which would be Herro, Jaquez, Jovic and three picks).Lot of talk about Blazers liking Ayton as a centerpiece. Well the Raptors have to give up way more than OG to make salaries match for Dame. Blazers would also get GTJ, Gradey Dick, and Thaddeus Young expiring contract. Or Pacers could be a 4th team and they could get Buddy Hield instead of GTJ, both are expiring contracts in any case. I'm sorry but Ayton plus those players and picks is much better than Miami's offer. Ayton has always been a 4th option for a perennial contender having to sacrifice for the team, with multiple years of team control remaining, and great injury history unlike Nurk. Plus he actually fits with the Blazers roster, giving them a young big man to pair with Scoot, Sharpe, and Simons. GTJ or Hield would be an excellent second piece while the Blazers have been reported to like Gradey Dick. Where is Herro going to fit with the young Blazer guards? He is a completely redundant piece.I think there have been some credible rumors about Suns actually wanting Nurkic for Ayton. Trent and Young have very little value though, I know we have to absorb their contracts to have salaries match but we won't be able to turn them into anything more than second rounders.Well the Raptors have to give up way more than OG to make salaries match for Dame. I think the Suns will take Nurk if it meant getting OG.
It's in readiness for the annual punch up.Whats up with GSW, are they signing everyone that had some beef with them in the past or
I like this deal for us. Ayton is decent and we will get good assets for Holiday. 2029 Bucks pick will probably be all right too.I could be wrong but this looks like a bad deal for everyone but the Suns?
The simple fact that he doesn't end in Miami makes me like it. Otherwise I'm just a bit disappointed that you didn't get young assets.I like this deal for us. Ayton is decent and we will get good assets for Holiday. 2029 Bucks pick will probably be all right too.
*33-year old franchise superstar who was unhappy with the team and unlikely to ever get them over the line in the playoffs. Two 1sts and a 25-year old quality center is a nice deal imo.Blazers trade their franchise superstar for what will probably end up being 2 first round picks and Deandre Ayton.
And he’s also on an expensive long term deal which is bound to become a bad, bloated contract sooner or later. Amazing for the next 2 years though.*33-year old franchise superstar who was unhappy with the team and unlikely to ever get them over the line in the playoffs. Ayton, if anything, has turned into a negative asset over the last year and a half, and I wouldn't really class him as a "quality center". 100 million over the next three years for a guy who couldn't start in the playoffs over Jock Londale, isn't ideal.*33-year old franchise superstar who was unhappy with the team and unlikely to ever get them over the line in the playoffs. Wasn't a good fit in Phoenix and there were underlying issues between him and ownership about his deal beforehand if I'm not mistaken - he's a good player, I just think he can still thrive in a good environment being only 25-years old. If you don't believe in him then yeah obviously the deal isn't that great for Portland.Ayton, if anything, has turned into a negative asset over the last year and a half, and I wouldn't really class him as a "quality center". 100 million over the next three years for a guy who couldn't start in the playoffs over Jock Londale, isn't ideal.
That's a bit pathetic
I think this divorce is good for both parts.
Good on Blazers, f him and his only Miami demand bs, placing Portland in tunnel vision trade situation, not to mention Miami went "we gonna give you 2 Snickers bars for Dame", shameless on both sides.I think this divorce is good for both parts.
Wasn’t he supposed to not report to any other team than Miami though?
