Just seeing Bruno and Rashford starting tells me we are in for another night of it.

A left back, what a sight to see.

Going with McTominay again in midfield is a choice. One thing about the constant bad performances (and only turning it on when we make subs) that is very annoying and Ten Hag only has himself to blame for... is that he keeps picking pretty much the same players. And then making the same subs.

fecking Ten Hag starting McTominay again... unbelievable. What the hell is the point of any philosophy if you choose to pick players that can't abide by it?

Also very glad we prioritized Mason Mount as our key midfield signing. Another brilliant piece of business as he rots on the bench not being picked to start over two players that have been consistently terrible this year.

Well if it does end up in him getting the sack, he can’t really complain.

Zero control in the middle again then. Sorry Eriksen and Mount should have come in for this one

Ten Hag is just making problems for himself starting Rashford, Bruno and McTominay in the same lineup again. Can only hope it means we won't see at least two of them against City.

Ten Hag is on a one way ticket to a P45 with his continued selections, and he'll only have himself to blame.

ETH going with 2 holding midfielders against Sheff United and these lot tells me he's feeling the pressure.
Bit of a stretch to call McTominay a holding midfielder

They'll start unless injured. He's not dropping them as he knows that they're about 80% of our threat, even in current form. He relies on individuals to figure out how to break down teams and they're the two most individualistic players we have.

Picking the same midfield after the performance on Saturday is ridiculous. He really doesn't help himself.

At this point it's a bit of a stretch calling him a midfielder. He's good in the box. Hopefully he proves me wrong tonight about the midfield bit at least, happy if he continues his scoring form. A bit of a worry for Mount though.

They're both more physical rather than technically good. I can't call them attacking players, they're definitely in to try and help shore up. He's seemingly given up on his original idea from when he bought Mount and played one holding midfielder. He's gone back to square one basics.

Players can continually play poorly and start regardless, no accountability for poor or lazy performances.

Great line up, let's stuff them! Wont stop resident professional managers to moan about line up like usual though.

How to lose a dressing room 101:

Keeping picking the same players/favourites even when their performances are shocking.

Probably a good thing the manager won't be seeing out the season, it might mean the likes of Garnacho and Mount will want to stick around.

It's good to see Reguilon and Varane back. Maguire also played well. So, between the lot of them and Amrabat they should be able to hold the line.

Whether the forwards will do their jobs is another matter. Rashford - Bruno - Antony. A joy to witness, truly. And Mount is already getting dropped? Wasn't he the priority midfielder who was going to change everything?

Starting the same front 5 is piss poor management really.

What message does it send when you play like Bruno McTominay and Rashford and start back to back games. Christ sake at least CL gives an opportunity for dropping players and disguising it as 'rotation'.

Of course we already know rotation is an alien concept for ETH.

Usually when I slag off a starting XI pre-match they surprise me and don’t shit the bed…so, here goes…great to see Reguiloan and Varane back but not happy with the usual suspects starting after stinking the place out. Hollywood Balls needs to pull his finger out tonight and I love the bloke. Come on fellas, turn it on.

Surprised at the hate for Mctom starting. 3 goals in about 70 minutes of football and has won us several points. Definitely deserves a start.

I am fed up of Bruno and eashford though. Mount or Eriksen should be getting a chance and what on earth does Garnacho need to do ?

Mount is better than Bruno imo, but he won’t drop the captain and yet to find a way of playing Bruno and Mount together

I really do not like Amrabat and McT in the same midfield. Eriksen should be playing instead of Amrabat. We play much better with Eriksen, because he creates chances, does rarely lose the ball, is creative.

Copenhagen is in one of the stronger line-ups. They have a right back, Jelert, on the left back, which is a bit strange, because they have fine left footed left backs on the bench.

Who will play left CB? That side has been tough to defend since neither Reguilon nor Rashford help out much defensively. Feels like it should be someone fairly rapid like Varane, but not often we see him on that side.
