To be fair to the muppet man - and I have no clue how he’s doing it - he does seem to be getting the scoop on this one.
Because serial bullshitter and aggregator Samuel Luckhurst is regurgitating muppets' vomit? If Luckhurst is the measuring stick for valid information then I can show you a liar. For what it's worth, that Muppet(ier) does have a contact in the media and gets the info moments before mainstream posts it themselves - if the mainstream doesn't post it then you can infer it's unreliable or it's fed to ITK's to report for another reason, of which there are many.

All ITK's are the same and ranking them is a futile enterprise. Much better to use your own logic and understanding while waiting for an official statement.

Seems he has INEOS brief. And it does look legit.

So probably we can conclude

Muppet have Ineos brief
Keegan has Qatari brief.
Kleinman has Man United Board brief.

Good for ETH to have to manage in front of a new sporting director and CEO. No baggage with sacking him if he keeps underperforming.

Also the players do not have a cosy relationship with anyone. It will mean they have to be at the top of their game.

Would that mean Murtough , Arnold and Fletcher all gone ?
It's not beyond the realms of possibility that Arnold is kept on in some form but on the commercial side of things, he's done well for the Glazers in that sense so I doubt they'd let him go.

This would be excellent. We’ve finally moving into the modern football structure. I am intrigued by this arrangement between INEOS and the Glazers. It seems like the Glazers have agreed to let INEOS control the football side with the reward being higher share prices in the future? (resulting in more $$$ when they do sell their shares?)

It feels like ever since Woodward left, they’ve slowly made the decision to phase out but they’re holding on to see if they can get value from the club being worth more than the figure Qatar were offering for everything. They must be confident of some serious TV money increases or a resurgence of the European Super League or maybe even INEOS getting United back to a really good standard.

Yeah, I would imagine they'd still want their 'money man' there in some capacity.

Not so soon:

What's in the King's Speech? Smoking ban, phone theft crackdown and new football rules

Football regulator: An independent body will be set up to govern the top five leagues of English football. It will introduce rules on who can become the owners and directors of clubs, and will have powers to stop teams joining breakaway leagues.

There is no indication that Murtough, Arnold and the others wouldn't be shuffled into other roles.

You could even see this:

Blanc - CEO, Overall direction and strategy
Arnold - CFO, Financial direction and operation
Mitchell - Sporting Director, MUFC sporting decisions and personnel, including transfer direction.
Murtough - Director Of Football, MUFC footballing vision and direction across the academy, women's and men's teams

Honestly, i see this being the case, it could be a too many cooks situation or extremely robust.

I'd bet against this. If they're bringing in two new guys atleast one will be cast away but probably both.

I want Paul Mitchell above everyone. Paul Mitchell could save Ten Hag from himself and cast a wider net for Ten Hag to choose from.

I'd expect a better calibre of player to be signed in future if we did sign Paul Mitchell.

A week ago they said face to face discussions were happening with Joel Glazer and INEOS execs (French guy and Brailsford involved) on the footballing structure at the club and Ratcliffe was set to join them.
But it's widely reported since the day Sheikh Jassim pulled out that the Glazers and INEOS are discussing the fine details of a deal including wanting input into the footballing side

Not saying they dont have any info, I just dont closely follow who exactly is reporting what so was wondering what news they have broken that was not already in public domain

When you have senior execs now taking over with a new strategy and new direction the old Execs have to go, because any change tried will be sabotaged by the old execs, this will be a clean sweep, might take 100 days but it’s possible it could be in first week.

The CL new format is moving more towards a European Super League, with more games and bigger games against the elite teams. Six group games becomes eight next season.

When you decide to replace upper management you would want to give the new guys the best possible foundation for success. Keeping people who held significant authority and influence in demoted positions would be counter productive to that.

I would be surprised that Glazers will allow a Ratcliffe guy to be the CEO and the head of their organisation. Its unrealistic. Ratcliffe is only a minority shareholder.

Can see Blanc as the COO though. Besides we do have a world-class commercial operation so why get rid of Arnold? You will lose the network and personal relationships that got deals done.

Blanc's done it at previously unbalanced prestige clubs though, both in terms of success on the field and in terms of the 'coffers'. Even our foolish ownership shouldn't raise too many objections, though few of their continuously bad judgements surprise me these days.

Arnold's previously worked in subordinate but C-suite roles around the finance side, so as a layman I don't see why CFO wouldn't work . The Murtough one I would be sceptical about though, even more than having Mitchell come in to oversee everything football -related: at the very least they need to have JM interview for it alongside a couple of other candidates...

Don't know anything about this Blanc fella but the Paul Mitchell hire looks like a solid bit of recruitment. I assume that means both Arnold and Murtough get the chop.

What happens to Fletcher then? Does he keep his current role of 'technical director' or whatever it was, or do we create a new job title for him?

I think even the Glazers reach a point where they realise if they want their cash cow to endure, they need to get the footballing side of a football club operating properly. Clearly the status quo hasn't worked.

Blanc revitalized Juve, and as I understand it, was overseeing PSG more recently when they were starting to move away from the Parisian-Galatico model and towards more balance in recruitment, amongst other things. If anything, he's more of a sure fit - in terms of ensuring the machine starts working in unison and corporate side fits with drive towards footballing competency - than Mitchell is for the SD side of things....

Why are you assuming Fletcher? He’s not a decision maker.

at risk IMHO, Arnold, murtough and the ladies DoF
I'd hope everyone is at risk - need a complete shake up

Head of Women's Team is Polly Bancroft -unlike the Men, the Women had the best year in their short history last season. Maybe she should be DoF of the whole thing !

Murtough has expertise in bringing through youngsters (and actually has a really good background in this) so he should relocate to run/oversee the academy in my mind. Kind of brings up the age old question under the Glazers as how someone with a background in something else ended up in a completely different role.

Arnold is toast and Fletcher maybe just joins coaching staff or leaves? Maybe he'll go join Carrick/McKenna/Rooney.

I can see Murtough and Fletcher being shoved away into vague job titles doing something else. There was a time Brian Marwood was pretty prominent for City early on in their ‘Sheikh-up’ and then after a few years they nab the Barcelona board and Marwoods now in some vague role with an impressive title but not really that important in the grand scheme of things.

Scoop?

It is an educated guess. Blanc is working for INEOS Sports and a former CEO of Juve and PSG.
Mitchell is not currently working and moved back to Cheshire.

Just putting 2+2 together really.

Muppiteers guy said INEOS Sports met with Joel Glazer last week. Strange how no other outlet picked up on this.

He read the situation and decided to be flexible to get a deal across the line. What I am praising him for is the willingness to be flexible and also play the long game. Jassim could have done the same - prolong their stay whilst taking control but he chose to widen the wedge between the Glazers and the fans which set him in negative light from the get go.
It's the difference between a business mind and someone who just has a lot of cash. I'm not sure how confident I would be with things changing for the better with someone who's entire strategy, based on these bids, seems to revolve around just throwing money at the problem.
