DDG was shockingly awful. Why can't people comprehend another scenario, in which we sign one of the other 100,000 registered FIFA goalkeepers, rather than keep banging on about a fella who was rightfully let go and is STILL without a club in December
We spent 50 mill to downgrade and we desperately needed to invest that money in other positions.

Genius ETH, just genius.

Sweeper keeper hahahaha.

Can we get Dave back temporarily in January and then find another keeper in the summer.

Send Onana to Turkey or Ireland or wherever is his level.

Time to give the other guy a chance or resign De Gea. This is embarrassing. We’ve conceded like 14 goals and I’d say at least 7 are his fault. Absolute shite.

People who want him still at the club, Onana will be a liability and we will concede stupid goals in the most important moments like today and previous CL matches.

So on top of my head:

Bayern Away:
1) He let in a feeble attempt for 1st goal.

Galatasaray Home:
2) Gifted them a penalty with a poor pass which resulted in Casemiro being sent off as well.

3) Almost ducked to concede against Icardi for the winner.

Galatasaray Away:
4) Pool positioning and wall setting for the first goal

5) Howler for the second goal.

A single player having 5 mistakes in 3 matches and all game changing events, I may have missed one or two, please feel free to remind me.

The Turkish lad can't be any worse than this can he. What does it say to the rest of the panel if you can keep getting picked after multiple nights like this.

Bravo made loads of mistakes.

The club can’t afford to simply write off a £50 million signing. He is seeing the young Turkish kid every day in training, it’s not like we have Dean Henderson on the bench.
There's a difference between mistakes and not being very good and being appalling and looking like it's your first time in goal. This is Taibi at his worst, multiple times over in multiple games. That's enough to have you booted out the club in bygone eras, factually.

Of course we can't afford to write it off, which is why I mentioned Pep just throws players like this out, whilst we're probably stuck with him now. Even Saudi Arabia won't be calling for him any time soon.

This keeper is costing us crucial games and is unsettling the entire team now. We fell apart because of him tonight, and you can understand why because it was multiple mistakes and not a one-off. A disaster.

Bloody hell, just as he actually was getting better lately. Guess there's always a mistake in him which is not something you want to have in a goalkeeper.

It was impossible to downgrade from DDG. A dustbin with a face painted on it would have been more useful.

It was 100% the right decision to get rid. What we then do with his replacement is a completely separate discussion.

Overall, he has been good in the league.

This however must be the worst performance ever from a keeper in the CL group stages.

Not his biggest fan but I'd take De Gea back in an instant. He's been an abomination.

Seriously, you could put any of our other keepers in goal for the CL campaign and we would have qualified already.

I've never seen a keeper throw the ball into his own net on such a regular basis.

It's almost like some betting syndicate has got his Mum at gunpoint.
Yeah. Tom Heaton pisses all over him.
Posts that feel sexual but aren’t

I've tried to be positive about him and he'd played well for a few weeks but he's had a shocker there. Probably as bad a 90 minutes as you can see from a goalkeeper. Any minor error he makes turns him to absolute shit. He's really fecked us in the CL this season.

DDG has always been a great shot stopper despite other shortcomings. DDG can actually make saves.

Seeing as Onana has, without question, been worse than DDG, clearly that’s not true.

Up there with one of the worst performances I've ever seen from a professional GK ever
Most annoying is just as I thought I've seen the absolute worst of Onana, tonight happened. Just batshit crazy stuff. It has to be a psychological thing going on with him at this point.

This CL run is mostly on him.
What’s the use of a progressive keeper who supposedly helps us play from the back if the goals we scored are more than offset by all those he let in.

I was quite happy to see him play with some consistency the last few months but he’s been appalling tonight.

Unfortunately for him keeper is the one position where you’re not allowed the luxury of making too many mistakes. He needs to really start saving our asses on a regular basis to make up for his mistakes since the beginning of the season

I’d trust a blind man with no hands in making saves than this clown.

Onana hasn’t set the world alight and may not be the man long term but can people stop wittering on about De Gea every time he makes a mistake? De Gea’s gone and rightfully so, get over it. The vast majority of this forum were in agreement we needed a new keeper in the summer, let’s not start rewriting history here. The decision to replace Dave was the right one, the problem lies in who we replaced him with.

Can't believe this is the same GK we saw during last seasons CL final... can't believe what I'm seeing with this mistakes. Specially in the CL. Cost us 2 or 3 matches tbh.

If teams were only allowed to shoot above waist high he might be good, terrible at low shots.

Looking at how heavy he looks, his atrocious reaction speed, his awkward positioning and move set I'm not sure it's only psychological.

Absolute horseshit of a player. Anybody who disagrees can feck right off. Oh he's good good with his feet, that's great and all but he's a pure sausage when it comes to his hands.

Move him on , buy Rob Green or Ben Foster or anybody who is registered as a GK. My nan can do better and he's 6 foot deep for the last 25 years.

No point being good with your feet if we don't even play a way that utilises his "expert kicking" skills.

Embarrassing player.

feck off.

Pep played Bravo for a whole season because of his passing, instead of keeping Joe Hart. Thats a terrible example
To be fair, Hart was already gone before anyone realised Bravo had turned into Loris Karius over the summer.

How did the scouts fail to see he can't actually save many shots?!

To think being a "good shotstopper" is often used as a back handed compliment for a keeper!

Remember the first game against Bayern he apologised and took the responsibility that he cost us the match. The idiot underestimated himself thinking that was a one off. Went the full circle in eliminating us single handedly.

His xG in the Champions League this season is so bad he's now actually ranked 33rd in a competition with 32 teams.

Thing is, it doesn't have to be an either or... Surely we could find a keeper who is good at both aspects of goalkeeping.

What a torrid night. Don’t mean to rub it in as everyone agrees he is to blame for their first two goals, but I think he’s also at fault for the third. In absolute no man’s land, really poor positioning, and made it so much easier for the forward. Good hit, granted, but you can’t leave that much space at the near post.

Awful, awful, night for him. Appeared to overcome a shocking start to his United career and was starting to look okay, but you have to now fear these howlers could become a regular occurrence.

What about Pickford? Strong rumors we were interested in him?

He does face an insane amount of shots. Think we’re the most in league apart from the 3 promoted clubs - with that is going to come more errors. But he doesn’t half pick his moments…
