Massive Spanner
Give Mason Mount a chance!
Bit ridiculous that the PS5 version costs an extra tenner. 30 quid for a graphics upgrade and expansion is just dumb.
Haptic feedback and adaptive triggers too. That's a large part of enhancing the experience.Bit ridiculous that the PS5 version costs an extra tenner. 30 quid for a graphics upgrade and expansion is just dumb.
Absolutely no chance. Probably 2025. Games take a long time to make these days. They’ve just released a horizon themed outfit.
Playing through this again on PS5 - I’d imagine Sony are aiming for a sequel sometime next year

How is this different from the base game?Been playing Director's Cut for the last two weeks, brilliant game. The world is amazing to look at and combat is quite satisfying, it also hits the right spot for me in terms of difficulty where it's challenging but not annoying.
The only downside for me is that side stories can be a bit tedious. Some of them are genuinely interesting and well written but some are just dragging, eg the Yumiko ones are just plain boring and seem to take forever to go from place to place. But I guess you don't have to do them anyway and the main story is compelling enough to keep you interested. I will probably clean all the side stories after I finish main story anyway (including Iki Island).
Adjusted to PS5, and includes Iki Island (though it is super confusing how to actually get access to it as it does not appear on missions list by default). How is this different from the base game?
The idea was that people would look at the world instead of a mini map or marker. Finding stuff was never particularly difficult and the minimal UI was nice. I liked it.Just couldn’t get myself to complete this. It’s actually a good game but so tedious to ride to the different mission locations because of that shitty wind guiding gps system. Why couldn’t they have just made a normal location guiding system?
I never finished it and ended up trading it in. The combat was fantastic as you said and visually it’s a very beautiful game to sightsee & explore but other than that, I just found it very tedious and boring. The missions both story and side were very repetitive I felt.Yeh the win mechanic was one of the things they got right alongside the excellent combat. Shame the rest of the game was just a boring shell though.
not at all.Replaying this on the PS5 after a completing it on release. Has a few issues but the graphics and swordplay are beautiful. I still maintain that the AI is a bit painful at times but that's the case for most games anyway.
I was wondering if they'll set part of the second game on Tsushima as well to reflect the history of the Mongol invasion? If that's true then the development time for the sequel should, in theory, be shorter as they have a lot of the same assets already?
Also, the Mongols didn't get very far on mainland Japan did they? So again, i'm guessing this will affect the map size for the next game?
Wow, that'd be interesting. I had to look up the history of the Mongolian invasion of Japan and as far as I can see they didn't actually touch much of mainland, if anything at all....would be very happy to be corrected on that by history enthusiasts though .So maybe they will change it up quite a bit for the sequel as you say.not at all.
I have a feeling that the natural progression of this story is overthrowing the Shogun.
My vibe is that Tomoe will be the protagonist in the next game with Jin coming back in the third.
Japanese history is wild.Wow, that'd be interesting. I still haven't started the DLC yet.
Did you play on PS4?About to play this for the first time on PS5. Have read it's quite an easy platinum and watching blue eye samurai got me into wanting to play something like this.
Hopefully will get the Plat just in time for Rebirth!
Nope! First time ever.Did you play on PS4?
I think you’ll enjoy. It was stunning on that console let alone PS5 upgrade.
There is some grinding in this game. It doesn’t quite have the polish of a multi series franchise, but it’s a stunning game and the actually combat play is some of the best in a game.Nope! First time ever.
Platting it sounds like a chore though. Very much a busy work open world game. Ignoring all that filler is what made me enjoy it more.Nope! First time ever.
Apparently it's only 3/10 difficulty and sometimes I like running around doing easy stuff while listening to a podcast.Platting it sounds like a chore though. Very much a busy work open world game. Ignoring all that filler is what made me enjoy it more.
Yea it's not that difficult and I actually really liked the environment in this game. The side stuff is mostly some peaceful activities like haikus and shrines which is a nice break from fighting all the time. The actual combat in the game is great too. The story is where I felt they could have fleshed it out a bit more. Falls off hard in the latter parts of the game for me.Apparently it's only 3/10 difficulty and sometimes I like running around doing easy stuff while listening to a podcast.
You’re in for a great time. Although I liked this on the PS4 I only truly appreciated the PS5 version. Given its superb combat and visual design - this game really should be played on the newest hardware. The controller features also add a lot.Nope! First time ever.
It's perfect for thatApparently it's only 3/10 difficulty and sometimes I like running around doing easy stuff while listening to a podcast.
It's been a while but I don't remember that much busywork for the platinum. Only those fox chases felt annoying, other than that it's not too bloated for an open-world game. Nowhere near the 100 hour affairs that many of these games are.Platting it sounds like a chore though. Very much a busy work open world game. Ignoring all that filler is what made me enjoy it more.
Ah, you don't need all the Fox dens, hot springs, haiku's and whatnot for the plat? It's been a while but I don't remember that much busywork for the platinum. I've since realised that the plat thing I found online was only about the base game. Seems the ps plus version has add-on stuff so about 25 trophies more! I imagine they will be similar difficult to obtain though. It's been a while but I don't remember that much busywork for the platinum.
