Shit football. Still no improvement. No progress. Don't care how long you think he should be given, he'll never come close to winning the league
He could takeover City or Liverpool squad now and have them finish outside CL spot. Truly horrible manager. He's a chancer

I'm amazed there's a section of our fans who can watch this and think this is an acceptable level for Man United to be at.

Yeah in all seriousness, this thread should probably be locked during games like the player performance threads
Why? its awful, awful shite again. This fraud needs to be called out. Its embarrassing. What is the shape? Mainoo seems to be playing 10-15 yards ahead of Casimero, which leaves us wide open, the predictable and single pivot I guess. He will go for Amrabat I suspect at half time, as opposed to a technical player like Eriksen. He makes cowardly substitutions and is scared to try and dominate the ball.

Apparently until Martinez is back we cant possibly be expected to play half decent, even against Luton

We are winning at a tough away ground.

But yeah this is honestly shambles.

I'm happy with the result (so far) but it's the same story every game, it's just nowhere near good enough.

I was all for giving ETH time , given the season 1 performance (dealing of Ronaldo and other situations). however, looking at how clueless we seem now a days , i dont think ETH can continue for much longer.

its really frustrating to watch Luton town outplay us !!

We have 40% possession against Luton.

Everything about this style of football under this manager is not sustainable. Most of games could go either way because they’re so end to end and never completely comfortable

I agree with your assessment, I just personally believe reactions to the match that's taking place belong in the match thread.

After watching Lindelof flap around like a fish out of water at left back last weekend, he plays a clearly unfit Shaw, replaces him with Lindelof again. This is probably the dumbest manager we’ve had in our post Ferguson era and its not even close.

While I haven’t been happy at all with Ten Hag this season, surely he can’t be blamed for our players being unable to make a simple 5 yard pass?

The coaching job he is doing with what he has available, after 1.5 seasons, is horrible. It's absolutely horrible

Probably an unpopular opinion but I think Ten Hags problem isn't Ten Hag himself, it's the club hamstringing itself ever since Louis van Gaal to believe (mistakenly) that playing quickly forward is the only way we are allowed to play football anymore, even though Alex Ferguson's best sides could and absolutely did play to keep the ball whenever they got 1 or 2-nil up. There's a distinct lack of control about our games and it absolutely stems from this obsession with pressing and transitions.

He needs to go. There’s no excuse for this total lack of control. Do people actually think we are ever going to compete playing like this?

Sending back Reguilion and loaning out Fernandez really was a stroke of genius. Well done to the higher ups, bravo.

He can be blamed for completely failing to explain to this side the importance of ball retention and controlling areas of the football pitch. He sets us up to play basketball style football week in week out

He can be blamed for not coaching a system to control games against shit opposition. He's said it repeatedly and it's plainly evident. We have 0 composure in how we play and it's just, go direct at every chance. It's a horribly dumb style of play and we are incompetent at controlling games. That's why even against 4th league opposition, the games are like this.

Something is wrong with us. I don't know what . We seem to have average possession less than the opponent and you would assume that's because we are parking the bus. Well, opponents are getting enough man and time on the ball and we always concede more shots.

I mean either you are parking the bus or you don't. Something isn't adding up.

I know Bruno doesn't have the greatest composure ever, but the fact that he is lumping it every time he gets the ball surely is ETH tactics. If it's not, then take him off.

Oh noes, we are winning...let's have a moaning session!
Have a look in the mirror if you truly believe thats how United should play against fecking Luton, a newly promoted team that was one of the relegation favourites. BuT MuH WiNnInG. We literally got outplayed in the first half by fecking Luton no disrespect to them. You can go support your bald god in his next team cause Im sure if he keeps this shitstain way of play Sir Jim will sack his ass sooner or later

It's probably tactical cause Casemiro and Varane do it all the fecking time as well.

They're literally relegation candidate. Every away game is tough - it's the fact we just can't keep possession of the ball in any game, concede a bucket load of chances every game.

He's just made absolutely no progress in improving us as a football team.

His system is fecking shite. Any team on the planet gets a free invitation to run through the middle of the pitch.

Just get rid, we're going nowhere.

They only care about the final result and the belief that top four is possible. How we do it means nothing which is funny because that’s why people wanted Ole and Jose gone.

He can. Watching the game, this looks like part of the strategy. We aren't trying to build up, just hoofing it as far up, hoping Hojlund can take it in. We aren't looking to move the ball. The design is to counter at every turn, so in reality our midfield isn't getting the ball played into them. When it works, Hojlund can hold up and exploit the spaces ( which he's done well), when it doesn't, Luton had possession.

I've said this previously, but the only reason he isn't being called Tony Pulis is his Ajax reputation. I genuinely believe these are his instructions, which are quite naive.

“Why can’t you just stop moaning and be happy with the results!”

“He’s had so many injuries it’s not his fault!”

It’s the same. fecking. Thing. Every. Match. Just because the results have ebbed and flowed with how well our forwards are converting in front of goal doesn’t mean the plan and performance hasn’t essentially been what we’ve seen today give or take a few moments.

What's the point even getting top 4 when you finish dead last your CL group?

He's the manager, if he can't get the team playing the way he wants to then he's completely pointless.
