Hopefully that means a big bid is incoming. Current status seems to be Mason loves Spain, Spain loves Mason and we have FFP issues so selling to the highest bidder is a no brainer.
Yeah, great that he's making a lot of noise about Greenwood staying. Fingers crossed it's reflected in the interest that materialises and the price we get.

Unless we are selling him to Real/Barcelona/Atletico, which we probably aren’t, I would not be expecting a very substantial fee.

Big Jim might be thinking that as Mason is being accepted in Spain that it might be feasible to bring him back to England.
It will all be sorted out by the end of the year anyway.

The La Liga president getting involved means either/both Barcelona or Madrid are interested. La Liga always does their bidding for them

Strange how many in Spain are falling over themselves to ally themselves with him. Tebas the latest.

Probably a slightly controversial thing to say: but I often get the sense morality when it comes to sexuality and relationships is .. looked upon a bit differently in southern Europe. Let's just say with more leniency.

Get the impression Sir Jim was well aware of some interest plus he’s aware that the club has 1+1 contract left from summer 2024. Huge negotiating tactic, Mason on low wages relatively, only the big three can afford the transfer fee, Real Madrid have no need as they have Vinicius, Rodrygo, Valverde, Arda Guler, Brahim Diaz, Rodyrgo, Joselu and soon Endrick and Mbappe, unless they are selling Rodrygo, Arda Guler and Diaz he ain’t going there and he’s not starting, Barcelona and Athletico he probably starts at both.

I think I know what you mean. I've certainly been told by a few friends that did a year abroad in Italy, for example that Italian men tended to be more...forthright (aggressive was also a word they used) in their pursuit of women. Obviously that's a massive generalisation and clearly doesn't apply to all Italian men, but is to say I know where you're coming from.

He's not particularly only low wages (75k), but I guess he doesn't have much leverage if he wants to leave. I see Barcelona as his most likely destination with us buying someone off them. I still don't see where he fits in a Simeone side.

His 75k compared to Sancho 250-300k is extremely low, even DVB is on 120k per week ?

Oh yeah in our structure, yeah, but say at Atletico that's a relatively big wage.
Athletico have multiple players on over £125k per week, they’re a huge club with players all aid more than Mason Grenwood.

Jan Oblak is the best paid Goal keeper in the world

Most of these wages are not with image rights either and when Felix returns he’s on £260k per week as well!

I’d like to see a poll on how many people actually believe the club is that guilty of gross negligence.

Given there is a large crowd that don’t believe the results of the internal investigation. It has to mean that they believe the club has been negligent in its findings, and even more negligent in retaining his services, sending him out on loan to another country, and setting up a home for the victim to be isolated with her abuser whilst bringing a small person with the victim and the abuser.

The enormous amount of negligence for the club of Utd size is something I can’t comprehend.
Negligence? Huh?

I think many people just think that the club statement is PR doublespeak for "he wasn't convicted of the crime he was charged with".

I think he is coming back. Just an opinion and I might be wrong.

No. Because there are 11 of their players are on above 100k pw. About Half of those 11 on 200k or above. They can afford his wages easily. Athletico Madrid could offer him 150k or 200k pw

Im so excited for him to come back. So many people here are playing moral judges, but before being moral judges, one must first possess the ability to give people the benefit of the doubt. Especially when he hasn't been convicted of anything illegal. Luckily, you have no influence on the decision.

Luckily, neither do you.
