Such an unlikeable tw@t of a character (Homelander), blood and gore everywhere, ridiculous ways of killing people…
… can’t wait

He had a cameo in Gen-V maybe they're keeping his appearance in season 4 a secret? What no Soldier Boy?
Thats disappointing
5 supposedly
Does anyone have any idea how many seasons they plan on making?
Aargh, thanks bud.5 supposedly
Hell yes!So I never went beyond the first 3 episodes of S1. Worth getting back into now and catching up?
You’re in for a treat! (assuming this is your thing of course). So I never went beyond the first 3 episodes of S1. Worth getting back into now and catching up?
Was there a reason you gave up?So I never went beyond the first 3 episodes of S1. Worth getting back into now and catching up?
It's a full on binge all at onceFrenchie killing chickens? You son of a bitch, I'm in.
I watched this when the first 3 seasons were already all out. Does anyone know if it's usually a weekly release or a binge drop?
Excellent! Cheers. It's a full on binge all at once

Should be the same as the other seasons, including GenV: 3 episodes at once, then weekly.Excellent! Cheers.
Is gen v worth watching by the way? I tried half an episode a while back, but it just lacked the vibe. Wondering if it picks upShould be the same as the other seasons, including GenV: 3 episodes at once, then weekly.

Is it? Damn, wasn't it not all at once before?Should be the same as the other seasons, including GenV: 3 episodes at once, then weekly.

Definitely. It’s its own thing, but it’s every bit as good and has plenty of touch points with The Boys.Is gen v worth watching by the way? I tried half an episode a while back, but it just lacked the vibe. Wondering if it picks up
Time was limited and I had some other shows that pulled me in first. Also didn't develop a care for the characters right away, but maybe that gets better as it goes on (?)Was there a reason you gave up?
I don't like Superhero stuff but I got through S1 well enough. Not got to S2 yet but will eventually. So I never went beyond the first 3 episodes of S1. Worth getting back into now and catching up?
Yeah it does! I was mainly asking in case it was the tone you didn't like, because that remains the same. I feel your attachment/hate for the characters is developped quite well as the show goes on, so I'd definitely recommend you to give it another shot!Time was limited and I had some other shows that pulled me in first. AgreedI didn't think GenV was quite a good for me as The Boys, but still absolutely fine if you enjoy that kind of show. There are also some interesting connections to the other show including crossovers from certain characters.
I'm rewatching the boys and I think it's down to the strength of the main characters. From episode 1 I was invested in Hughie, Butcher, homelander, Starlight.I didn't think GenV was quite a good for me as The Boys, but still absolutely fine if you enjoy that kind of show. Homelander is going to go full Hitler and it's going to be amazing I understand people are peeved that the story hasn't really progressed since season 1 but this show and homelander are just so entertaining It's hard to not just want more of the sameOnly days away. Avoided all trailers. Can't wait. Let's go Homelander!
I wouldn’t have thought so, seeing as the ‘plot’ of The Boys has been in a holding pattern since season 1 ie evil corporation is evil, overpowered superhero is also evil, plucky human underdogs are somehow still alive. This show is mostly about shock value and it started hitting diminishing returns on that some time ago, imoDo I need to have watched Gen V before watching Season 4 of this?
Not necessary I would think but might be worth your time in terms of enjoyment.Do I need to have watched Gen V before watching Season 4 of this?
Not at all.Do I need to have watched Gen V before watching Season 4 of this?

It’s doing way more than that for me.I wouldn’t have thought so, seeing as the ‘plot’ of The Boys has been in a holding pattern since season 1 ie evil corporation is evil, overpowered superhero is also evil, plucky human underdogs are somehow still alive. Some of the characters are showing up in it. So almost certainly yes.Do I need to have watched Gen V before watching Season 4 of this?
Gen V is a good show. If you like The Boys I can't see why you wouldn't watch Gen V.Do I need to have watched Gen V before watching Season 4 of this?
