Like how did Drizzy think this was a good idea? To release a defense track?

Like trick the other guy into thinking you're a pedo, deadbeat dad?

Well done bro

It's a really strange way to attack a rap battle. But he does make palatable mainstream music so his fans will swallow that shit. I think Kendrick won with Euphoria alone, but it goes back to the like that verse when Kendrick just wanted it to be about music, Drake made it personal.

It’s a horrible angle. Plus if it were true, Drake would’ve posted the proof of feeding fake info 60 SECONDS after Kendrick dropped Meet the Grahams.

It does feel a bit defeatist which in a rap battle you can't do. Its about momentum and upping the energy. I think this is an opportunity for Kendrick to land a knockout blow if he can release another banger.

On a sidenote, I think we got to say whatever we think of Drake and Kendrick and their styles etc both (or in Drakes case him and his ghostwriters) are very talented lyrically. These songs have some of the best lyrics in a longgg while.

Proper rabbit hole shit but this is apparently some site run by an LA Lawyer who posts anonymously about all the shit going on in those circles. Some saying a lot matches up to stuff that’s ended up happening. It basically claims Drake is heavily involved with people like Dutchavelli (who has allegations about doing things with underage girls) and that Dutchavelli goes to Dubai and does grim things (beastiality for one) for money because he got cancelled in the UK. Also that someone ‘sold’ their sister to Drake so she could get her music career going. Also many other allegations about other rappers/singers.

After the Diddy and R Kelly stuff I wouldn't even be surprised.

Not that Drake doesn't seem very dodgy but people complained that he didn't talk about the pedo allegations, and then complained when he did...

I also don't think he was saying he tricked Kendrick into calling him a pedo, it's more about the 11 year old daughter thing.

Not sure who is writing these lines for Drake but there are some weird lines he keeps putting out, the Zimmerman one and now the sexual assault one.

Yeah that would have been game, set and match. But nope, he releases an insta post ignoring the pedo bit and saying he don't have a secret daughter

Thing is, there is a video of him smooching a teen on stage... So whatever he says about that sounds a bit silly.

I swear Kendrick also never said he was molested on Mother I Sober. He says his mum asked him and he kept saying no but the fact that she kept asking him that kinda messed with his head.

Yeah drake misunderstood that track. Or him and his writers did I guess.

And even if the message was that Kendrick was abused, it is really classless to use that. Shows what drizzy is about.

What?

This has been nothing respectful since the beginning from either side (which is why J Cole again is busy frolicking through flower fields), but that line is now too far?

It's obvious Drake can't win.

I think it’s more they’ve been going at each other for things they perceive the other has done. Stuff that makes them a piece of shit. Being molested would not be that person’s fault and it’s a bit shitty to go after something that would’ve happened to someone when they were a vulnerable child.

I would say the same the other way, if it was Kendrick saying that about Drake.

Having a go at Drake for being attracted to young ones or hiding a son etc are his own doing and fair game. Having a go at Kendrick for cheating on his wife is fair game as that's his own doing. Using child abuse in the way drake tried is a step too far in my book. Tbf, Kendrick wishing drake to die is shitty too.

If Drake proves Kendrick abused his wife, he would win. If he really did leak the secret daughter and proved it with a screen grab (very easy to do), he would win.

I still don't think any of the tracks touch No Vaseline, Ether or Hit 'em up. But that is also the reason all them beefs didn't have more tracks. I'm not even sure any of them are better than Paper plates, Don't body yourself, Story of Adidon, or Nail in the coffin either but I might have to listen to it all again.

No he's not going after Kendrick for being molested... He's saying Kendrick is projecting his experience onto Drake's behaviors.

And shit, if someone's wishing for me to die... Then Rick it, there are no lines anymore

I guess it’s just the first time someone has brought up something that wasn’t the other’s doing. Each to their own I guess. Either way he’s still interpreted the song wrong.

Much bigger reason is that they were done in pre music streaming and social media era. The medium was just functioning differently then.
I think some of them were genuinely fearful in one way or another back then also, like when 50 poked Nas and Nas responded with a warning shot you know fine well Eminem and Dre told 50, we don't want that smoke.

“You LIED about your son, you LIED about your daughter huh?”

That bar from Meet the Grahams still hits after Heart Part 6.

It is possible that it was part of it, musicians getting shot over disrespecting other musicians is also much less of a thing today too, but I would fully expect those beefs to produce a lot more songs if they were as easy to release as they are today.

I would say its much more of a thing now, except within the most famous ones.

I mean Kendrick basically wins by default because he's actually a good rapper

Drake can be decent, when he actually puts in effort. Push ups and family matters have definitely been a decent form from him.
He's very palatable for the masses and a decent rapper, he's not on some DOOM, Black Thought, Nas, Big L or Scarface level of straight rapping with countless lines, storytelling and bars but he's very easy for big audiences to digest.

I read that thread this morning and all the posts, some dark, nasty stuff in there if it's true and some of it lines up, especially Central Cee capitalising on Dutchavelli getting outed.

In one post a month ago they also say Kendrick is going to go for Drake, which has become true.

There's other posts on there that are not anything to do with this beef that if true is really bad and the rap game/entertainment industry is full of bad people that deserve to be brought down.
