Season 7 - End

We'll start with Europe.

Lazio take a slender lead into the second leg!

Boom! The weirdly named Gordon Frizzell sends Sunderland into a European final! Will we get our first Caf club trophy in Europe?

Sunderland will play Tottenham in Bucharest.

This is the final AET score. Yes @altodevil it went to pens again. Here we go.

MISSES! 0 - 0
SCORES! 1 - 0
SCORES! 1 -1
SCORES! 2 - 1
SCORES! 2 - 2
SCORES! 3 - 2
MISSES! 3 - 2 still
SCORES! 4 - 2! Spurs win the Europa League!

Comprehensive! Bowen with the hatty and Biggs having a great game!

Final bound! They will play Hamburg in Yerevan (Armenia)

And you all laughed at Bowen playing up top! Sheff Utd win the first caf European trophy!

And now domestic:

Sunderland with their joint highest PL finish! Sesko got 22 goals in all comps. JMD got 14, Garnacho 13 and the on loan Dylan Duncan (no idea) got 12. Tiago Parente is a big success, getting 7 assists in a solid debut season. Europa League again for them next season, they'll go again after such disappointment in the final.

Bolton have had a very good season and clinched Europa Conference mainly thanks to Kendry Paez, Liam Delap and Matthew Wise. Livaramento had a solid debut season. Pavlovic has also made a very good impact and got 9 assists from deep.

Oh Derby! They were battling it out for that Europa spot and then had a horrid last 6 games, only winning once in that time. Still, they'll be comforted knowing they're still not that far off. Estevao is still seen as a fringe player and made only 1 start in the league (14 sub apps). Their best players were Darvich, Moukoko, Moore and a guy called Tommy O'Neill who they loaned from West Ham and was their top scorer in all comps. Al-Houti was an ever present for them and played every single game. Andrew was also clearly a great signing!

Very disappointing domestic season for Sheffield Utd but the blow will be soften by that Europa Conference trophy I'm sure. It means they automatically qualify for the Europa next season alongside Sunderland. Pino still the main man for them, and on loan Motoki Nagakura was their second best player. Jarrod Bowen led the way with goals, getting 18 in total, and 20 year old Chris Biggs has properly emerged from the academy to become a big player for them! New signing Basit played the majority of their games before tearing a thigh muscle and is already Vice Captain.

You might think that the European win saved our season, but to us that was the season. The PL was just an afterthought

Well done to everyone, a good season all round for us all I think and things to build on! Special shout out to the Sheffield United owners!

Hopefully we can follow in your stead.

I didn't realise Delap was as good as he's been so far in the save, and also Paez being the best player in the league.

New rule - You may get free agents regardless of their CA. I can send anyone a list if they want it.

You had all gone into negative bank balance so I boosted everyone up to 400m.

You are also now sponsored by Solius Industries for 5 years which should help it from draining so fast again.

Nice one. Wondering if it's possible or worth adding a feature to spend some money to increase stadium size?

Possibly. The average attendance growth is so unorganic though that I'd probably need to adjust it myself in line with what other clubs are getting.

I also have a few tweaks to the database on this save. So there is a much more dynamic youth rating, so higher chance of wonderkids from random places - and also younger managers come to prominence more (though still some issues with rep).

So I'll let you know if you want I can send you manager options showing the best up and coming. They will have a PA range from solid to top (depending on who there is) but I will hide the PA and sort it alphabetically so you can only go on their achievements/style.

Makes sense. I reckon we should be in line for some expansion soon anyway if we are in Europe but not sure how AI deals with that stuff.

How on earth did we go into negative? Starting financials same as last year when we made a profit? Weird

In real life, Sunderland were getting 47k in 00/01 and 01/02 when in premier league. They'd be 50+ with this success you'd think.

I think it's the wages and facilities being of a high level. Don't think you get much for ECL sadly either.

But feck it. I plan to go out with a bang.

You can all blame Sheffield Utd for the hold-up :) I may not be on for the bank holiday but I will see. If not we carry on Tues.
