    Is Maguire injured too?
Why is nobody choosing him ?
Playing Harry who has been far better than most give him credit automatically drops the 3 man defence 20 yards deeper, with not much protection as no Collyer or Ugarte.

I can see Amorim doing something crazy like
Mazraoui at RCB, MDL or Maguire at CB, Yoro at LCB and then Lindelof Or Maguire at at CM, alongside Bruno. Dalot at LWB and Dorgu at RWB so no width again!

Not like we're spoilt for choice
    No I agree,

That’s why I wouldn’t be wholly against Yoro in midfield - has legs and pace and can also find a ball too. It’s not ideal but I’d much rather that than have both Cas and Eriksen starting. We’ll get battered.
    .

So assume we are looking at something like this:

    Onana

    MDL
    Maguire
    Yoro

    Dorgu
    Casemiro
    Bruno
    Dalot

    Eriksen
    Garnacho

    Hojlund

Well I’m looking forward to potentially seeing some of the young players today. Far from ideal situation to be making your debut but they won’t be bothered. Been a while since we had this much potential in our academy and it’s exciting,

    Onana
    Dalot - Maguire - MdL - Maz
    Casemiro - Bruno
    Garnacho - Erickson - Dorgu
    Zirkzee

Sorry, but switching to a back 4 and playing on the counter is the only way we can play with these injuries. Zero pace in CM or CB positions make the 343 dream impossible. If we start his 343 again tomorrow then we get beat, we don’t lay a glove on a weak Spurs team, and we step closer to relegation.

Ipswich will catch us if we don’t start scoring goals. We have to change the plan.
Agreed. Need to go to 4 in the back. Maybe a straight traditional 4-4-2. The only benefit we have is we know how they'll play, and they have no idea what formation we''ll play in.

    Yoro--De Ligt--Maguire--Mazraoui

    Dalot--Bruno --Dorgu(?)--Garnacho

    -----------Zirkzee----Hojlund------------

We’re getting twatted here without a formation change……..but then again I could probably type that every game day thread
What do you suggest? 4-3-3 like the 3-0 battering earlier in the season?

The state of this place if we lose this afternoon would be unbearable.

Club will be 15th in the league on track for the worst league finish in the clubs modern era.

Not exactly cause for celebratory practices. Also conclude that in a recent fixture the manager and players were booed off the pitch but a subsection of fans. It's not just the online community that's in disarray it's also a portion of game attendees.

Didn’t realize we had that many injuries. This is really going to suck, isn’t it?

Been saying this for a while but put Mazraoui in CM. Him next to Casemiro today and there's at least some physicality. Those two with three good sized CB's and at least in the air that's the best we've been in ages.

Then you free up Bruno to go back to the 10 position given Amad is out.

Bruno and Garnacho as 10's. Either Hojlund or Zirkzee up top.

It's not a disaster(as long as we get no more injuries for now). It's not like Amad and Ugarte have been putting in top performances over the last few weeks.

Can hardly get worse to be fair, maybe be stumble across a winning formula
True. Best we can hope for in the league is moving up slightly in the table so it looks less embarrassing.

Still, the optics of losing to a Spurs side in free fall would not be great.

I just hope we get Vardy in the summer. white text

I don't think we have any chance given the injuries. Spurs will run through our midfield like it isn't even there, probably because it mostly isn't even there.

This is a game you really don't want to lose. For either team. The pressure from the fallout will be huge.

Our best results this season have come under adversity, in tough away games against Liverpool, City and Arsenal in tghe cup when we went down to ten men. That makes me hopeful that we'll get something out of this game. Let's play a little deeper and try to hit them on the break like we did in those games.

Prediction line up "are you sure want want to choose 6 defenders?".
I'd laugh if I didn't want to cry

Have we had definite confirmation that Ugarte and Collyer haven't travelled?

We play objectively poor football at the best of times. Losing Amad (our only exciting player) and two of our first choice midfielders will make this an even tougher watch.

I think spurs and especially Ange are under more pressure so I expect them to beat us but we’ll get a result next weekend and it’ll be all good again !

You think we were in the game until the sending off?
At 1-0 yes. Dire first half but this insinuation that it was because of formation is a daft evaluation. That squad played the same formation vs City in the FA cup final and churned out a difference performance all together.

Big decision today from the manager as to who he played in the middle of the park. I expect Bruno and Casemiro.

We really need some energy and tactical discipline, otherwise spurs will overrun the midfield. Just not sure there’s anyone is the squad (who is fit) who can do it.

We really cannot start with Casimiro and Eriksen.

I’ve got almost zero hope of us taking any points down there today, no matter how shit Spurs have been recently.

The only reason it’s “almost” zero is we seem to have an uncanny knack of pulling a decent performance out of nowhere when our backs are against the wall (Anfield 23/24 when we had to debut Kobbie springs to mind)

I expect what we’ll see though is Spurs waltzing through our Tortoise & Hare (Casemiro & Bruno) midfield with impunity, and if they score against us I struggle to see where the equaliser comes from.

We need massive performances from Bruno & Garnacho today if we’re going to pose an even slight threat.

He should be fired on the spot pre kick-off if this happens.

There's zero chance of that happening, but I could see him starting Mazraoui in midfield potentially.

    Amad OUT Dorgu IN
    Ugarte OUT Casemiro* IN

    Simples

*When chubby cheeks gets tired Eriksen can have a jog for the last 30 mins

Can't believe the number of injuries and we haven't even had a fixture congestion the last 2 weeks.

Yeah but the argument was let's switch formation to improve our chances today.

We played that different formation last time and got battered(when XI vs XI).

    Formation won't help.

You make it out if it is such a bit difference. If in your team Dalot plays a bit higher on the field and Dorgu a bit lower, it is 3-4-3. It is not the formation, it’s the players. Not one team plays one static formation.
