Looks like you've accidentally included some of your own opinion within my quoted post in the last couple of sentences. You might want to edit that out.

The issue a lot of people had with him in the last couple of seasons was that he would too often try the Hollywood pass instead of being more sensible in possession, but they failed to realise that this was likely a tactical instruction from Ten Hag who encouraged the kamikaze football. It is no coincidence that since Amorim has come in, Bruno has been a little safer in possession. I've also noticed him telling his teammates to 'calm it down' in possession with his arm movements, which we never saw him do under Ten Hag. He is doing exactly what you expect from a captain by carrying out the manager's instructions on the pitch.
Nothing needs editing.

In addition to Hollywood ball..poor touch, loose five yard passes, wild shooting. Just poor performances. Bruno can be to blame you know. It’s always either manager or teammate.

Anyway he’s played great most games since Feb. last night I thought he was awesome.

He's matured his game, I'm guessing (hoping) by instruction. I'm rewatching the last 15 minutes, and there's a couple of instances in which he resisted the proverbial hollywood/desperate ball

He's been very good for a while now
Old Bruno crept out with the needless rabona, then new Bruno returned again. Was great last night, needs more criticism from Keane though to get us through to the final. Fire him up again.

Has an outside chance of hitting 40 G/A this season. 33 so far with hopefully 9 more games to play (although he’d rather be rested this Sunday)

Look at this fella signing autographs into the early hours of Good Friday, after running himself ragged (again) for a couple of hours.

Take the armband off him. Such poor leadership. No idea why Amorim is ignoring the collective wisdom of Talksport on this. Even last night he was waving his arms. The sooner he's sold the better.

Am I doing it right?

If he scored that volley it would've been spectacular. Great player and love almost everything about him.

I couldn't care less who does or doesn't wear an armband, and said so multiple times, but I just can't understand how people watch Bruno and don't see an absolute leader.

Fantastic player, fantastic mentality. He'd be held in higher esteem if United weren't utterly shit as a whole (which he's of course also a part of)

We don't deserve him!

He occasionally waves his arms and whinges at people. He also got sent off a couple of times, which has led to 3 separate threads being created about stripping Bruno of the captaincy. People really get their back up over minor drawbacks of a player and ignore all the positive attributes they bring to the team.

Carrying us for the last few months.
Everyone was trying to get him the ball as much as possible when we needed the goals last night. Like Kobe Bryant in a playoff game.

Absolutely World Class player, hopefully even the daft fans who thought he was the problem now understand that we’re so incredibly lucky he hasn’t gotten fed up of the shit and left us.
Modern day Robbo.

That shot he had after 35 minutes where the ball came in over his head and he volleyed it first time off the bar was sick. Would have been a first class goal. Excellent attempt.

He seems a better player now than when he joined and had amazing goal and assist stats. And to think we're asking him to play as a ten, then drop deeper then also box to box.

He certainly deserves more than he's gotten with us. Hopefully he gets his hands on the trophy at the end of the season (three in three would be great)

Its quite simple with him this season, he's elevated his game, got rid of the petulance, and fully embraced what it means to be captain of this team. He was rightfully criticized in seasons gone past, but his consistency this season has been whats stuck out to me, particularly in 2025. he used to be 9/10 or 2/10, whereas now his worst performance feels like an 8/10. class player.

Nah, sorry, but he was almost never 2/10. Massive exaggeration. Also, most of the criticism that's come his way from our fanbase has been over the top. He's been brilliant since joining but this season he does seem to be even better than usual.

Expect a lot more revisionism as posters try to justify their absurd moaning about him for years. A world class player and has been since he arrived

Yep. It's an odd one because since fergie he's the player that's played at the highest level, worked the hardest and cared the most. But some took against him because he doesn't play safe all the time to guard a 90% pass accuracy average. Oh, and he occasionally gets frustrated at the absolute shower of shite usually around him and has a moan.

Bruno’s sheer resilience and loyalty is something else. Phenomenal player. Probably the single best decision the club has made post Fergie.

I love the guy, but I will admit to having a "fking hell Bruno, what are you doing?" rant at some stage in most games. Doesn't mean I hate the guy or want him dropped. Maybe I just need to realise these creative players won't always take the safe, obvious pass, and make allowances for it!

Does anyone else think he's also toned down the histrionics in recent months? Not rolling around looking for soft frees, not moaning as much at teammates, just getting on with the job? He'll still have a go at the ref and say "hey, I was fouled back there" but this time he's getting up straight away and just making his point. I think it's benefited his game if he has.

Adore him.

A shining light for years.

I want us to win the Europa League for him as much as for us as a club. He deserves so much more in terms of trophies.

Agreed here. He’s just levelling up even more.

The way he can now turn and evade opponents while under pressure, it’s crazy to see him add that to his game while not being a young player.

Yes and I think that’s a direct result of Amorim and his team’s direction. Ruben said in a presser that Bruno needs to trust his teammates more and I think that message was taken on board.

Bruno is on another level since the day he walked in the door. His vision, his technique, his heart are as good as any of the greats. I love this guy. He is the captain, the master, He gives everything. Casemiro he and Harry dragged us back from the brink last night.

My captain, a legend in my eyes. Carries the team through a period of relative non-success/mediocrity.

As some have said before, the modern day Bryan Robson.

In his position in the PL, I think only KDB is better since Bruno signed.

I so wish the ridiculous volley had gone in. Bruno was brilliant for us last night but that goal would have lived for centuries in world football lore.

He's immense. Heart of a lion, workrate of a Trojan (were Trojans notoriously hard workers?!) and absolutely tonnes of ability. We are so lucky to have him.
Not sure you know what a Trojan is.

He has had some truly awful games in the past, which I never understood how a player could have such a low bottom level but at the same time have such a really high ceiling at his best.

Saying that he does seem to be playing more maturely lately and has cut out most of the erratic play under Amorim. I hope this is not another purple patch, rather him evolving as a player.

Top player leading a team of players, many of which aren’t close to his level.
Ok…well to me Robson was top player, at least a couple of levels above Bruno. Not particularly close.

I don’t think fact that he’s captain of poor United team is reason for comparison to one of greatest players to ever play for United and one of greatest midfielders of all time.

He's the captain of a poor United side, a very good player and is the standout performer dragging the team to wherever it ends up. Plus the work ethic on the pitch.

It is quite similar to Robson.

He has been brilliant since last Autumn. He has responded to criticism, and, importantly, is leading by example. The change in his attitude has made him a better player, a better footballer. Playing slightly deeper, but arriving late suits him as he is excellent on the ball, v intelligent.

Can Casimero, Mount, Mainoo step up in the last month of the season and help him a bit more? Casimero has also improved last two months.

The character amongst the players is building, and that's great to see.

But.... we need, desperately need goals.
