Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach | Thread locked during matches

Never in my wildest dreams dreams did I think that when we sacked the incompetent idiot Ten Hag that the next manager would take us even further back.

Amorim has been a total disaster.

I'll say it again, if we don't win the Europa there is zero justification in keeping him. What manager comes back from these reults?

5 at the back and they still concede so easily. He's better off playing the 19 year olds in the league and saving the so-called strongest XI for Europa

I think he would quietly welcome the sack at this point.

He and his team look powerless and clueless out there and might appreciate the chance to return to working in relative obscurity elsewhere.

I just don’t see how anyone can justify keeping him.

We’ve somehow went backwards from where we were under Ten Hag. The football is painful to watch.

Another shocking performance where we needed a late goal from a lucky deflection to beat a 10 man Bournemouth yet people will come on here and actually claim we are seeing some kind of progress.

That’s a mad stat that Ipswich have scored more away goals than we have. Needs massive, revolutionary squad changes in the summer or we will be bottom half again

Sooner he is sacked the better. There is literally nothing to suggest he is the guy who should be here next season. Not one thing.

Nothing gives you any optimism for the future. We all know the arguments for why it's like this. Pointless restating them. But, even accepting every one, how can anyone think playing like this and getting these results will breed confidence for next season?

2 points out of the last 15, United are averaging 1.04 points per game under him in the league, which is .8 worse than Ten Hag and .69 worse than Moyes. If they lose to Bilbao, you have to wonder where is the faith in continuing in this fashion.

We just get physically bullied by any half decent team. The one saving grace of the Europa is that teams don't have the combination of physicality and technical ability.

We were the better team. A couple of extra attackers and Amad and we’ll win these games comfortably.

Nice guy and quite charismatic BUT he’s some how taking us backwards, I’m sorry but if you don’t have what you want to play how you want straight away you adapt by playing a way to suit what you have and improve it until you can bring in what you want and Amorim is too tactically stubborn or tactically inept to succeed so is his own worst enemy.

Right now he's up there with de Boer as one of the PL's worst ever manager

Away from home against a top half team and we were far and away the better side.

I’m not super pro Amorim but a lot of you are doomed to the same things happening again and again.

I look forward to the sack Ireola calls this time next year.

Well, I would say we lack both as well. We get a goal after a ball ricochets off our inept striker.

Pray we scrape the Europa

Pray PSG win the CL

Then throw everything we have at trying bag Enrique, and a couple of his players

I have zero faith in throwing a huge amount of money into this guy's strategy. The football we are playing is awful.

Just wait guys, with Cunha and pre season everything will change. Also Mount will regain fitness.

He has been crap, but the Europa gives him a great opportunity to effectively erase this season.

And if he had this record he'd deserve it. Or is this the level of shit we are now accepting...

I'm quite fine with half the squad not being here next season. Playing pragmatically to grind out results just keeps these players who are not up to standard around for longer.

Can't see the justification for keeping him if he doesn't deliver Europe. His shape sorting box only has a triangle hole, and the one triangle he's brought in so far seems skewed.

It’s clear and obvious how he will improve us, unfortunately those complaining don’t want facts and evidence. They have already decided.

There should clearly be no faith whatsoever. He has failed spectacularly in half a year to do any other than make us a miles worse team.

Saw a stat today that showed that if you removed the bottom 3 from the league this season, United would be last. That’s how horrendously shite he’s been.
It’s like he’s took a bunch of players and thought ”how can I get the least out of this lot”.

The Europa League is his saving grace, he desperately needs it to sell potential players and his current ones, that United under his leadership is the place to be.

Absolute madness we sent Antony and Rashford on loan when you look our options up top.

Yup. There was a time where no one would criticise the manager, now it's just gone too far the other way.

The 5 at the back thing is starting to get to me. Struggling against 10-men Lyon and Bournemouth. 3 wins in the last 10 games. Under Ten Hag, United were shit and inefficient. Under Amorim, United are dull and inefficient.

I still think he should have a go after summer, irrespective of what happens in Europe, but his rope will be very, very short. I don't believe he will last very long, unless things improve dramatically. Not after by far the worst Premier League season in history.

They had ten men for and a goal to defend for the last half. It's still mostly crap every week and needs to massively improve quickly.
