Just confirmed on Skysports by SAF that we have made a bid for some!!
. No Name
. No Fee
. No confirmation on whether the bid was accepted or rejected....

So lets get to guessing... I'm sure it's just probably Berbatov

I'd love it to be Sanchez, but I'm guessing they'll just be reporting the story about how SAF has apparently told someone or something or other that we've bid for Berbatov.

I fecking knew we would have media outlets reporting this.

"respected website united.no reports says Fergie has bid for Berbatov".

Sky, BBC and the rest must get all their stories from forums like RedCafe. I doubt they're reading united.no!

Man Utd In Mystery Bid
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that the club has made a bid for an unnamed target on Wednesday...

Sky Sports News have reported that Manchester United are hard at work today attempting to strike a deal over a summer transfer target, with boss Ferguson confirming the swoop.

There's a tangled transfer web forming at Old Trafford at present - not least due to the Cristiano Ronaldo saga - but the Red Devils appear to be pressing ahead with their plans as they look to bolster the squad.

The Premier League and Champions League winners have been strongly linked with Tottenham's Dimitar Berbatov throughout this pre-season, while Blackburn's Roque Santa Cruz less likely has also been touted for a move to Manchester - although the Paraguayan has pledged his future to Paul Ince's team.

River Plate's highly-rated Colombian international Radamel Falcao Garcia and Juventus' Sebastian Giovinco, too, have shown up on United's rumour radar this month.

More details as they emerge.

Kobe Bryant. And Shaquille O'neil, because we need a targetman.

It says on united.no that the article has been removed because they didn't want misinterpretations and misquotes by british media. They also say that they will be back with more news on the topic later.
