This isn't the good news it would have been a week ago, Wayne has put this club through the mill for the sake of an extra few bob, that is clear as I doubt our "ambition" has suddenly gone from shite to in line with his in the space of two days, that's even if our ambition was questionable anyway.
He's shown his true colours, that of a mercernary, and I for one am ashamed we've caved into his demands. He's tarnished his previous achievements at United, and has tranished any future greatness he may or may not attain.
He's staying now so will have to play out of his skin to even get into many people's good books, but for me the feeling towards Wayne will never be the same. A trust and a faith in his motives has been lost.
Very dissapointed he was willing to sell SAF and the club down the river just to bank himself a few extra grand, the apologists may scream "RIO!" at me but Rio never, ever said he wanted to leave, nor did he use such bullshit tactics to hide behind contract disagreements. Rooney did and more.
Rooney's actions and intentions leave a lot of questions to be answered, and quite frankly I'm not impressed with the situation or his handling of it.
