    lol... I really hope you guys bring a midfield of Ramsey and Wilshere. Maybe last year you would have a point, but now with Blind, Herrera, Carrick and a improve Fellaini you wont be able to overrun us on midfield as teams use to do last year. Plus you need cover for your defense or Di Maria will have fun going trough your midfield.

    Our only concern with Arsenal is Sanchez. If we can mark him well we already do half of the job.
    Theo Walcott is back and say's hi.

    If Chambers starts at right back I would put ADM on the left wing, if not I'd have him central.
    I wouldn't expect Wenger to make the same mistake twice with Chambers, or would I :)

    Arsenal are *so* susceptible to the counter attack that I hope we sit right back in our own half when they have possession. We let them have it until 40 yards from goal, wait until they over commit players forward (which they inevitably will) and then go for it.

    You honestly think Walcott is a concern? You think teams think he's one?
    The arrogance in this thread is absolutely hilarious. You'd think United had been brilliant this season. Walcott is our most important player, our most productive and our most dangerous. He make's teams drop back an extra 20 yards, which give's others more space. Vastly under-rated.

    We definitely aren't lacking energy in comparison to Arsenal, so they shouldn't run rings/play triangles around us. And for the first time in years I'd actually say they don't even have superior ball-players.

    However, I'd still let them have the ball, and look to counter them at pace. If we can manage to get a 2 goal lead, then we can look to control possession and frustrate Arsenal's players.

    I hope we don't go into it trying to control possession completely, because we aren't that good at it yet.

    No, if anything, he's hugely overrated by Arsenal fans. How United has been performing this season doesn't change the fact that Walcott is hardly ever considered a serious threat. I'm not being arrogant, just being honest.

    If we had a consistent back four in place, I would not be to concerned over Walcott either.

    As things stand, we are likely to have a make shift defence containing a youth player and a right winger at right back unless our injuries clear up. His pace is something which could exploit and expose the vulnerabilities in our back line, especially if he is in a line up with Sanchez and Welbeck who are all very quick. I was hoping we could get Rafael and one of the other centre backs back fit for this game.

    Aye, he is a good player to have and was flourishing in his new role before he got injured. Is he in contention to start though given he has just returned or Wenger will again have him on bench for this game?

    If that's the case, ye won't mind giving us Sanchez I take it? For your information, Walcott is just after returning from injury, there is no guarantee he'll be at his best from kick-off, if he even starts that is.

    That's true, but if he's up against Shaw, then I certainly won't be bothered.

    Even if he is against Shaw, he is going to be a threat to the entire back four as he makes inside runs into central positions for through balls and he is bullet quick with other speedy players in the front three. This is not game where we can protect the back four with 72% possession like Palace. I could see the central defence being tested with pace in behind. WBA and Leicester managed it with lesser technical players and inferior attackers.

    You're incredibly overrating Walcott. One of those who seems to have turned into a top player while being injured, and he's always injured. You think he's going to start vs united after playing about 50 minutes all year?

    Compared to last year, we had an incredibly reliable defence!

    I don't know how anyone at all can be confident of us not losing away at the moment.

    We've lost to Leicester, we lost to City who have been on a horrendous run, we couldn't score away at Burnley, who have shipped a sh!Tload of goals. We couldn't beat West Brom who are average this year.

    We can't keep any centre backs fit. Noone seems to be able to play more than 2 games without injury, even Carrick and McNair got injured quickly.

    I can see it being a very hard game. I'll be in with the cockney goons in the wrong end as usual (long story) listening to every other word being "mug" and c@nt.

    With the way they play it will allow our attacking players to thrive because as has happened so often in the last 6 years against them, it's not a question of looking for space to exploit, but we've been given space to exploit. They play a very high line and with too much freedom allowed for people to go forward. Often they pass around too much so a quick counter where they are out of position is there for the taking. This is a game where they have to tighten up because we have the option of going long too. Roughen them up. They don't. Can they reign their kamikaze instincts in? I doubt it. I expect them to score but I think we'll get a 3-1 win.

    This was supposed to be my first all-day free Saturday, which I was able to spend watching EPL football. Well that's very disappointing to find out this game is next week...

    We don't have a great defence at the moment but I think its being under rated, they've done well in the last 3 games, We've conceded only 3 goals less than Chelsea who have one of the best defences and teams in the league, if you take away the Leicester game we'd have the second best defence in the league. Too many people being brain washed by the media.

    =======DDG=======
    Valencia McNair Blind Shaw
    ====Carrick Fellaini====
    ==Herera Di Maria Mata==
    ======Rooney======

    Not sure who will be back in defence in a fortnight so I'll go with last time's back four. The above selection has strength/power, intelligence, runners and (most importantly) productive players in terms of goals and assists. The five in midfield should allow us to compete with arsenal's possession game and shield the defence. We have athletic, powerful full backs providing the width and a couple of players who like to move forward with the ball in Herera and Di Maria.

    Yep. I think we're helped by the fact that we have much more of the ball than we did last season- even against the likes of City an Chelsea.

    4-1 to United!

    Similar for the City game, for me, a draw will be a good result for us. And again, a win will be an even more satisfying one.

    The priority for me is to see a good attacking and possession display from us.

    Don't think Walcott will be as much of a concern as you make out, just back from a lengthy injury so he will not be quite 100% or going full pelt. I also think you are ignorant to the fact that Sanchez is and has been your most important player this season, without him you's would be no where and he's certainly the player I fear the most in this game. We stop Sanchez then we will beat you.
