There are a million things he could have done but having a shot is the very least. He could have took it first time with his left, attacked it and went with his right. He could have even took it across his body and took it on his right. Even when he drags it back he doesn't take the opportunity to hit it goal-ward. It was AWFUL.
The ball was coming at pace, it was either control it with the left or put a left for swinger on it... The other options weren't available. After the touch his shot would probably be blocked by Martinelli, and after the drag back his shot would almost certainly be saved.

You can sense it from a mile away the Bruno goal/assist is on its way.

Hope McT is ok. Was clear he was struggling.

I do think since the forced change has made us more balanced.

Finished the half better and got into good positions.

Think its key we continue to get Pogba on the ball in the second half.

He very rarely takes shots first time on his left foot... Never backs himself to do it, dunno why as his left is pretty decent.
He didn't even need a good connection. He literally just had to hit it and he'd at the very least caused Leno to parry it out. Cavani or Greenwood take that chance every time.

Didn't see the Fernandes challenge. He should be off.

Funny hearing Ole shouting to Marcus, ”he can`t defend Marcus, attack him”

Controlling the game is not about having the ball more. No way we are controlling the game. Controlling the game with no goals is not controlling the game. The game is about goals. Not possession.
Goals come when you create chances, and we've had 4-5 good chances and positions in that half and could've easily had a goal. We've controlled the possession, controlled the territory and stopped Arsenals transitions so that they created pretty much nothing, and had the chances ourselves. Just gotta get the final ball/shot right here. Bruno had the one chance plus his free kick being a great chance, Fred denied by a brilliant finger tip save from Leno, Rashford had the one counter where he made the wrong choice once and the other time got crowded out before he could tap it in. It's all happening around Arsenal's box, and we just need to keep that up.

Woke up around when McTominay got injured. How have we played so far?
Arse play like Sheffield and we struggle to find openings. Much possession but lack of ideas. One or two good opportunities that we fluffed.

Would have brought on Murda Mase instead of Martial I must say. Balances us a little better I think.

We're usually quick to scapegoat our defence when we drop points, but its clear to me our strikers are actually the reason we don't win games. Martial offers nothing and has the work rate of a reluctant prisoner, Rashford has possibly the worst decision making I've seen from an 'elite' tier striker. We desperately need to sign a proper striker if we actually want to challenge for the league at some point.
Rashford isnt a striker and to be fair he is being played in a position in whcih he has always been poor, should have brought on greenwood and played him on the left

We've easily been the better team, they wouldn't have a sniff on the counter if some of our passes weren't off. Rashford should've hit it first time, weak foot or not.

As long as Pogba maintains his defensive discipline and we continue playing as we have, we should get a goal. But you never know in these games, one good counter and we could be down. It's a shame that all of our defensive midfield options have glaring flaws in them and our right side has zero creativity, this team is so close to the finished article yet it seems so far.

that's my feeling too. we'll given them a silly goal and then they'll get another when we go for it
Difference between a top sides that knows and takes advantage when its in the ascendancy and one that isn't, which is looking like us at the present.

Tony Adams one of the pundits on the international broadcast. Why do I suddenly like him when as a player he was a complete canute?

He could have took it with either foot and tested the keeper. He was slow in everything he did. Any contact with his left foot and he at the very least tests the keeper. A proper CF like Greenwood or Cavani tests the keeper there every time.

Disagree tbh, we've completely controlled the game and have gotten a good chunk of chances too. They've done nothing but shots from distance.
I don't think for a second a comment can be made that we are controlling the game. We haven't controlled a game all season on the basis of what that term should define. We are a more positive version of a Mourinho side laboured build up play but individuals who can turn a chance with moments in the run of play. If you want controlling games look at what City are typically doing.

Now that I saw the highlight Rashford couldn’t have shot it first time. No one could’ve really. By the time the ball reaches him he’s kinda ahead of it hence why he had to first take a touch
yeah he definitely had to take a touch, and the touch needed to be perfect to setup a shot but it wasn't

Rashford is useless at attacking the ball in the box. He could get so many easy goals, if he bothered. Sterling has done it the last few years under Pep.

Need to get Cavani in the game more. Rashford gets in enough positions he could be feeding him breakfast lunch and dinner.

Rashford continues to frustrate me, far more than Nani at his worst ever did.

Didn't think we played too bad tbh. Confident we'll get chances on how we are playing. It certainly isn't the train wreck that is being made out in here. Away from home at Arsenal coming off a loss against the worst in the league. Obviously we are cautious, but we grew into the half. Only felt we was going to kick on and score the more the half unfolded.

it was like watching a bloody park team on a sunday morning: needing a dozen touches

We wait for a moment of brilliance and thats it.
I’m not sure what people are banging this drum for constantly.

Games are won with moments of brilliance ffs.

We’ve carved chances out, should have taken one. If your creating chances then you aren't just sat there ‘waiting for a moment of brilliance’

I mean when have we won a game this season with a true ‘moment of brilliance’!?
    Pogba’s goal at Fulham maybe?

Almost every goal we score has been worked on the deck through creating chances.

It’s easier to just say we aren’t playing as well as we should be.

Rashford from that chance should be shooting, who cares if it’s his left foot, I don’t get how people can justify him not shooting cos it came to he’s left foot. SHOOT THE FECKING BALL
I don’t think it’s necessarily about the foot. By the time the ball reaches him he’s not well positioned to shoot it first time
