Jose had at least 6 months to sit and watch our matches last season, when the result?
Unfortunately Jose has made the same mistake as Moyes and LVG and I've been complaining about it for 3 years. This squad has needed a chainsaw taking to it for 3 years. Every new manager that has come in has given the squad the chance to prove itself (despite failing the year before). A squad that has achieved 4th at best. And it's cost everybody their job. It's already too late for jose because you only get one chance to ship out if you ignore the summer. The next manager needs to sit down and watch every single match of the season before...give a list to Ed and say these need to go. Not Utd quality.
Jose as said above has had a year - banished schweinsteuger, given Mata a 1/3rd of a role, Schneiderlin & depay are missing. He has cut this down but what's affecting our games is not the players on the bench- it's his starting Xi with him choosing Ashley Young, Ibrahimovic, fellaini to conjure up some 80's style vinnie Jones football.

    It's a travesty.

I think people forget we have a team full of w0nder kids - shaw, Rashford, TFM, P0gba, martial whilst there remains more coming alongside still youngish players like de gea & lingard.

Yet everyone of these players have been played in wrong positions & been compromised to fit in Jose's traditional lone tank striker upfront.

How can you be so oblivious to what is happening. The similarity between this team & every other team he has managed is painstakingly close. He has just become an easy manager to beat. He has been for 3 to 4 years.

We need to go back to our roots. Bunch of egotistical idiots out there being managed by a man who's footballing ideology is miles away from what this club was about. Not a kneejerk. You all know it's true.

Woodward needs to feck off. The amount of money spunked on shite to try and boost his own rep.

Lets hope that Chelsea at least manage to mount a decent title challenge from here - would be preferable to either City or Liverpool.

Well I do recall someone acting like a complete bell end and running down the touchline after a 1-1 draw in the UCL.

    Wonder who that was
He wants the reporters and papers to talk about it, so our players are not getting any shite.... Or they tell.

If you're spending that much money on a player, IMO, he's either coming in to plug a massive gaping hole that your lacking someone in or he's the finishing touch to take a great team to the next level. Instead he's played in all 3 midfield positions so far and we're severely lacking in depth elsewhere.
I agree with what you're saying. Money could have been spent elsewhere, but clearly Jose felt we had a good squad, from defensive point of view. We did concede the lowest PL goals last season. I think was due to LvG being supper cautious. That could have been why he chose not to. Anyway, I hope Mourinho is ruthless in January and gets rid of these pathetic frauds.

Exactly. I don't see why we should just back this manager to the death like he is our army commander. He isn't suited to us. Our roots are to trust in youth & play free flowing predominantly attacking football.

    Top post.

I wonder how Mourinho would have felt if Conte had gone over and shook his hand in the 89th minute instead

I think this place is justifiably in meltdown. The club is going down the shitter and those in denial are simply deluding themselves.
There's no justifying peolle calling for Jose sacked and of all people LvG reinstated.

We're 6 points of the top. Its been a bad day but lets know go full Trump shall we

    Feck Off.

Another plastic club. City and Liverpool have been playing some nice stuff compared to us.

    Spurs for me!

Very harsh to say he has been horrible all year! The backline have been solid except against citeh and chelski. Both matches we just capitulated and lost the plot for whatever reason.
Well he was injured at the start of this season. Then I can't seem to think of any good performances from him there after. Last season he was excellent for the first part and then rapidly tailed off towards then end I think. He had an absolute shocker today though.

It's because they are plastic that I don't care about whatever Chelsea win, unless it's at our expense which isn't an issue now.

But I agree, Spurs would be ideal.

As I recall - you spent most of last season whining about LvG - only to see Mourinho spend £150 million to do worse. Naturally you have to defend him.
Correct I did, but I also said I was not sure about Jose, I said I did not like his style of play and did not think he was the man for the job , but to call for his head so soon is it madness.

No, we just need first of all defenders with brains and back bone
The lack of brains and guts in this squad is criminal. If you don't have masses of footballing talent that's one thing, but our dumb cowardly play enrages me.

Mata would be the only one who comes close, but he's more goal oriented, and not a CM. Rashford and Martial are playing more advanced. Someone else has to do that job to get the ball from a tight area and put them in good positions. That ain't Pogba, ain't Fellaini, and ain't Schneiderlin.
Ok I see what you mean. I agree, Pogba isn't that guy either I'm afraid. Ideally it would be Carrick but he's too old these days. But I still think Herrera can fulfill that role. Unfortunately, partnering with Fellaini, Pogba having yet another off day, and Zlatan not contributing is just not going to work.

That's what's annoying me even more at the moment. We're crying out for pace and creativity and we potentially have that with the younger guys. The fallback to relying on size is really killing us at the moment and needs to be changed immediately. If that means people like Zlatan out of the starting 11, then so be it.

He won the title with chelski in 2014/2015. The same squad that just tonked us today.

We are on our 3rd manager. Its clear to see that the players are the issue. Many need to be shipped out and replaced for us to be able to get back to the levels we are accustomed to.

Does anyone truly believe that a result like that would have happened if Fergie had chosen Mourinho rather than Moyes in 2013?

I mean in terms of performance/result after 9 matches

I completely disagree. Hes probably the best manager in the world right now alongside Pep.
Umm simepne, ancel0tti say no. He has done nothing in ages. We jumped ship just because pep joined city & went with this type of thought that Jose is the best manager in the world but pep.

It could not be more further than the truth.

Either way, even if he was the best manager in the world- what about trying to get a manager who suits our squad rather than a trying to change a squad & tactics every year to suit a new manager.

Exactly. I went to see the fenerbahce game live & of course its a different quality of 0ppnent but ultimately we didn't play anywhere similar to how we play when Ibrahimovic & fellaini played today.

We had pace, we had fluidity & we had courage.

We are only six points off the top, despite our losses. Some of the comments about getting a new manager are embarrassing.

One of those horrible, horrible games where nothing went right.

No fecking way did Chelsea deserve 4-0 or even to win the match really but they did and life I guess and the way things are for Manchester United right now. It's so fecking grim. Just when you think you've turned a corner something like this happens.

I can't see how they didn't deserve the win, they were the better team, especially first half, we were clueless for a good while after that goal. But 4-0 flatters them.
