We have a good chance imo, we have the better form right now. But Mou will make a borefest out of it, they will be difficult to beat despite us having control over the game and most of the ball. 0-0, 1-1 or a lucky 1-0 win for one of them is what I think will happen.

The way Chelsea are playing, I fancy us. Mou will play for a draw and kill the game.

Chelsea will be quite happy with a draw I would imagine.

They'll play a patient game that's for sure.

Will undoubtedly be a very tough game. We've been in great form, although if Chelsea can find some of theirs, it's got great potential.

Still, Mourinho will know we've been playing good football, and will want to frustrate us. I'm wary of our defensive game, since Hazard could cause them a lot of problems if we plays well.

Would love a win obviously, and think it's possible, but I'd take a draw.

We actually have a chance of turning them over at the Bridge, considering respective forms and the fact that Costa and possible Remy might be out.

Mou will play for a draw though, and I can't blame him if he does.

It's going to be an preview of what's to come next season when these two clubs are battling it out for the title.

City are finished, itll be a United Chelsea Arsenal title race like in 2004/05 next year.

We will play for draws vs United and Arsenal and rightly so, we want to win the title at the home game vs Liverpool, and secretly so do you guys!

    Is Fabregas or Matic suspended?

How come the thread was created in 2014 or is it just for me?

Yeah I would take that. I wouldn't write City off completely next season, they still can spend money and the infrustructure is there

We should make a deal with Mourinho. Just play out for a draw, works for both.

Hazard has a habit of turning up against us.

Hope we beat them comprehensively, though I suspect both managers would be happy with a draw.

We will win this. We have so many ways to open teams up now, our attacking variety is unmatched. Chelsea are not defending that well, we will control the game and pick them off.

    3-1 United.

2 seasons ago. when we had 9 players, and you just scraped a 3-2 ;). Only time in about 12 years mind.
Thanks. For some reason I hardly remember that match, even with the two red cards, and that a Torres dive was one of them. Seemed so long ago.

You're comfortably the better team at the moment. We've become entirely dependent on Hazard to win us games since the turn of the year and I think he'll struggle against Valencia with his strength and pace. Take him out of the game and we're forced to rely on opposition errors & set pieces. We're simply painfully one dimensional at the moment.

Contrary to popular belief Mourinho usually always plays an open game at home but with Fabregas (by his high standards), Matic and Oscar all in horrendous form at the moment you should dominate possession and the flow of the game regardless.

All signs point to a United win but with the mentality Mourinho has instilled in the team we always have a chance.

Im anything but cocky, but I am always confident with Jose against the big teams, and especially against United.

Plus you are in a good run of form and I always prefer to face sides when they have won a lot on the trot as all runs come to an end, and we have been poor.

Itll be like the games last season where you have all the play, we win 2-0.
One, of the two managers, Jose both respects and fears, is going to the Bridge on Saturday. A bus will be parked, negates Fellaini and intricate triangles, and gains a point.
0-0 written all over it, which will suit Jose, and his title ambitions.
United would be disappointed, but 10 pts out of 12 would be a fantastic return from their last four games.

Hazard is comfortably the best player in the League but we can't continue to rely on him for individual brilliance especially in a game of his magnitude. Even Messi & Ronaldo have the occasional poor performance. We've been waiting for a complete performance since the Swansea game and it's still yet to come. That was just under 3 months ago.

That said, he's the only reason I still have a faint hope for this fixture. You just know you always have a chance with him.

Cesc and matic played cautiously today it seemed wary of the ban, remy playing would be a help, we will be fine, reckon 2-1 to us.

If we beat these I won't be able to resist dreaming of the league for the first time this season... We could go 5 points behind with Chelsea still to play Arsenal and Liverpool, with us to play Arsenal and Everton.

However in all likelihood I can't see us beating Mourinho at home :(

I'm expecting exactly this, they'll let us have the ball and try and nick one on the counter.

I could sort of see your point, Mourinho seems to have better game plan against bigger sides but he'll be very conservative, if Chelsea were to win it'll most likely end 1-0 with Chelsea shutting shop after scoring. Chelsea doesn't necessarily need the win, either.

I think this will be a low scoring game, will be surprised if either team scores more than 1 goal unless one of Hazard, Rooney, etc. has a stormer. 1-1 is my prediction.

Think we will get at least a draw, and finish the season in top 3. Chelsea will win it this year with 6-7 points ahead of the second.

Draw. Mourinho will not want to lose and will probably end up being a really dull game with hardly any chances. Which suits me to be honest, a point is a good result at Stamford Bridge.

    --------------De Gea--------------
    Valencia--Jones--Smalling--Blind
    ---------------Carrick-------------
    -------Herrera--------Fellaini-----
    --Mata---------Rooney------Young

If Carrick is injured then Rojo at left back and Blind in midfield.

Im kind of confused how we have actually gotten better odds after winning a tough away game than before. Maybe it was to do with United beating City.
