Pogba and Ibra the obvious choices to be rested, and then i'd probably add Bailly and one of Shaw/Valencia.

The rest is open to mixing up.

Need to get Smalling up to speed, and get the likes of Carrick and Schneiderlin some action

Cannot wait for this. Need to win well to get the confidence up. We don't want to go for a tough away game at Watford having lost 2 in a row.

Smalling in for Bailey(he looked absolutely knackered) Young or Rojo for Shaw. Schneiderlin and Herrera to join Pogba(he needs game time) in midfield. Memphis, Martial and Rashford up front.

    DDG
    Valencia Smalling Blind Rojo/Young
    Schneiderlin
    Herrera Pogba
    Rashford Martial Memphis

Romero, TFM, Mkhitaryan, Bailey, Ibrahimović, Lingard, Mata

Never mind the actual formation and my pipedream that Rooney won't be involved at all.

Good team. Would love to see something like that.

Seeing all these line-ups containing Memphis just highlights to me how much lower I rate him now.

Last year I was excited to see him start for us and now I think his presence in the team weakens it considerably. It's odd how quickly that happened for me.

A few players definitely need to be rested for this. Shaw will be rested as we know and I think Bailly, Ibra and Rooney could do with sitting this one out as well.

I'm really not big on the Europa League but I'm glad we have a game coming up sooner rather than later. We need to win this and get our confidence up after yesterday.

In terms of who I want to see start the game, I really want to see TFM involved more than anyone. Decent chance to give Memphis a run out as well and players like Schneiderlin, Jones, Young, Rojo, Darmian. Would be good to see some of them feature!

I want to see the squad getting minutes under the belt but it won't help anyone if we can't string together a good performance.

Creative players thrive playing alongside other creative players. Mata and Micki have to play close to each other. We can then use Rashford and Memphis to get in behind the defense.

Will be very interesting to see what kind of team Mourinho sends out. It will also show how seriously he takes the competition.

I just hope we don´t send out a team full team of bench/reserve players. These kind of teams will inevitably play like shit and only serve as a way to get some match fitness at the cost of the results.

    My team would be:

    ----------Rashford-----------
    Martial-----Mata-----Miki(or Lingard)
    -------Pogba---Herrera------
    Rojo--Blind---Smalling--TFM
    -----------De Gea-----------

We have players who need game time and also few players who needs time to be back to form. Europa league should be a good platform for both.

    Would go with:

De Gea Darmian Smalling-Jones-Rojo Schneiderlin Herrera Depay Mkhitaryan Martial Rashford

With Martial, Depay and Mkhitaryan changing positions like Giggs and Ronaldo used to.

    Rashford and Herrera to start for sure. Jose said this is our next "big game" so we might put out a stronger team than expected. I hope Zlatan and Rooney will start on the bench, and a front 6 of;

    Fellaini Pogba Herrera
    Mkhi Rashord Martial

Where is Memphis? If he cant play against Feyenoord, whom will he play against?

What I like about Jose is that he keeps a lean squad so we'll probably have a half decent line-up here.

Nope, he's said already he has other players that deserve to play. No chance will he play his first team on Thursday and then Sunday too, especially when we've got very good players waiting and fresh.

Won't be surprised to see a relatively strong team. Don't think he will take too much risks after a loss.

So you want to lose? What will that do to confidence? Feyenoord are not mugs. We are playing Watford next who put 4 past West Ham at their place. We have to get some momentum. I am worried that there are too many players who have either not played at all or very few minutes and it could trip us up.

Who says we will lose? on paper our 2nd team is better than their first. They've got Dirk Kuyt upfront ffs!

It's much more of a risk to play our first team 4 days after a hard derby match, then 2 days again after travelling back from Holland aswell. That's just asking for injuries and fatigue.

We've got a good squad, time to use it.

I'm not saying they aren't good enough. I am more worried that most of them have been twiddling their thumbs and then will be sent in against a team more up to match speed.

That might be the case, but there professionals. The only way to get sharp is play matches, so that's what they've got to do. You can't avoid it forever, there will be plenty more European games to come after this aswell.

How does the U-23's work now, can they use overage players? IF yes, I am surprised he hasn't let some of them have a runout there.

Yes you can use 3 over age players I believe, but let's be honest our first team players don't want to play reserve football, they see it as an insult. Add to the fact the reserve league don't play regularly either, it's not the best.

We are having regular Europa league, carling cup and FA cup games coming up, so having a 2nd team will be handy to keep us fresh for the league.

Not sure changing the whole team is the way to go, though clearly we will mix things up quite a bit.

Assuming Mourinho is fairly wedded to his 4-2-3-1 I think Id go for something like:

    DDG
    Valencia - Smalling - Blind - Shaw
    Schneiderlin - Herrera
    Miki - Mata - Memphis
    Rashford
So basically bringing Schneiderlin, Smalling and Memphis into the fold.

Keep an eye on Watford's game on Sunday by resting some of the lads and giving game time to other.

This squad selection can prove really important in order to know which player will be substitute, which one can have an impact and especially the ones like Basti that are off.

I would like a reshape of the team, to rest the maximum of the lads.

I played Herrera on the bench maybe because he deserves to be starting on Sunday

    ------------------------------------Romero-----------------------------------
    Darmina/Mensah--------Smalling-------Blind--------------------------Rojo
    --------------------Carrick/Herrera-------Schneiderlin-----------------------
    Young-------------------------------Mata----------------------------Memphis
    -------------------------------------Rashford----------------------------------

I'd like to see this but possibly with Rojo in Blind's place and Young in Rojo's, then Mhki on the RW switching with Mata. Martial to come on for Rashford up front.

I would like to see Mkhitaryan playing again and quickly, but I doubt he may be injured. He had a scan on Sunday, and he really looked bad against City.

Mourinho is not the type of manager who gives a second chance that quick, but I would rather have Mkhitaryan playing than Memphis to be honest.

As for Blind, I think that we need some stability trough the team and him + Carrick + Mata can be enough to get a good result there.

    If Mkhi isn't injured, this.

I have a feeling we're not gonna be making the perfect start to this campaign, I hope I'm wrong, but there's something about the whole team that I didn't quite like against City from the get go. Feyenoord are a team full of confidence, and although I have absolutely no clue how good they are, but an unbeaten start to the campaign does say a lot, in almost any league.

We risk losing this game if we start too many players with little to no game time since the start of the season.
Anyways, that's the line-up I expect to see:
    Romero
    Darmian --- Bailly --- Smalling --- Rojo
    --------Schneiderlin ----- Herrera-------
    Martial ------- Mkhitaryan ------- Memphis
    -------------Rashford----------

I wouldn't go with the full strength team , but I also wouldn't go with a reserve team, somewhere in between
We have to take this seriously.
    Indeed.
It would be disastrous for all concerned, if we end up losing this game.
