I've this feeling in my gut that LvG will not be at the club after this game.
He will 100% still be here regardless of how badly we lose. Simply put, the powers that be at United just don't have that passion you'd want them to

Along with City away, this would probably be the worst game we could have right now. Crazily difficult to get a result at Anfield when we tend to play absolutely shite. Won last year though.

If we lose, I actually think he'll go. Moyes got sacked for losing vs Everton right?

Yes, that defeat at Everton was the last straw. I think the pressure from fans would be unbearable if we got a beating by Liverpool. Then the anger would revert to the board and boards don't like that.

Yes, the day we couldn't mathematically couldn't qualify for CL, which is what it feels like it will take to get rid of LvG.

And that was a week after beating Newcastle 4-0 at St James' if i remember correctly.

But the key thing with that loss was that it made 4th mathematically impossible and it looks like we are going to give LvG the same. A mistake imo because Mourinho would guarantee top 4 if we hired him now. But hey ho. Down with the ship we go

They will go at us from the off and as long as we can contain them for the first 30 we may be able to get something.

We're both naff but their naff playing style is extremely effective against our naff possession dirge.

I've lost the plot, gone full muppet, we're gonna win 2-1 and I'll quote this with a laughing face when it comes true.

Just play like we did against Newcastle with some better defending and I'll be happy, it would be a good match.

I imagine this will go the same way as the Arsenal game. They will come out flying for the first half hour like they always do, we won't be able to cope and will concede a couple of goals. They will tire in the second half and we may nick a goal but the damage will have already been done.

Really hope I'm wrong. We need something to be happy about!

I have sent a letter to Woody asking to replace LvG, can I count on you for a reference?
Depends who you replace him with really.

If waiting means getting a better replacement then Im happy to wait. Though it doesnt necessarily follow that it does.

I dont want change for the sake of it though. I dont want to get rid of Van Gaal and end up with worse.

I may be in a huge minority here but I think it would be possible to get worse.

Am actually quite optimistic about this one.Liverpool at home will attack us leaving more space for Rooney, Martial et al to hit them on the counter.First goal will be vital.

I think he wants to replace LvG with himself.

I think LvG may be saved by Liverpool's horrendous injury list.

If they were near full strength then I would struggle to be positive about this fixture, with their current fit squad we may get a draw or sneak a win.

Hopefully we have either Carrick or Bastian back for the game and can bench Fellaini.

If we lost it would reach new levels of fan discontent.

A win at Anfield will no doubt give LVG a further stay of execution, however if we lose, which I think is quite possible, then surely LVG will be in trouble. No doubt it'll be a bore draw and service as usual!

I'd like to say that a loss would probably mean curtains for LVG, but I said the same thing after both the Norwich and Bournemouth games so it appears our board are dithering feckwits.

I think it's nailed on for a draw, Liverpool are just as poor as us and can't score either....

If I had to pick a winner, I'd have to pick Liverpool actually :(

    I think I'd go with.

    De Gea
    Young - Smalling - Blind - Darmian
    Morgan - Carrick
    Lingard - Rooney - Memphis
    Martial

attack their defence it's god awful.
