The supporters cannot do more than what they are doing, we went through a diff period of results and the supporters were fantastic, they support them team and in some matches even push the team for different levels of where we were at the time and we cannot ask more from them. It’s us to give them and make them to go to an even better level, is for us.

    Mourinho on the game
Do you have to ask for more from your players in these home games?

For us. Team. And of course we need points, of course we need points, results, we need performances because we also like good performances in the top of points and good results so is up to us, we were playing well and getting good results until the one of the last period, of course we lost the last match but I don’t consider at all a bad performance and two weeks with a small group of player, waiting for news, good news, bad news in national teams no time to work together but we were in a good moment, playing well, so why not stay the same, to improve and to get good results because of course need now to get points to jump into the position we are in the championships and next week with the Champions League we need points against Young Boys.

    Mourinho on top four
You said a few weeks ago you believe your team will be around the top four by the end of the year, do you still believe that?

I know. I know it’s a big gap but I also know until the end of December if I’m not wrong we have 8 Premier League matches to play, and 8 Premier League matches we are speaking about 24 points, 24 points for us to fight for the other ones in the top four to fight too but I believe we are going to be there.

    On Smalling contract
Is it correct Chris Smalling has opened contract talks?

    I don’t know, honestly, I don’t know.

Should be a massive lift to everyone at the club if Smalling extends his contract going into the match. Forget Martial and Dave, this is the big one.

Just realised that I have only 3 points from 14 score predictions, and I have really been serious with it.

This could be a weekend that our rivals could realistically drop a few points, so if we don’t win this, I honestly give up on us this season.

That can happen when you always predict us to win. :(
I would have over 10 points if that was the case. Like I said, I've been very serious with it. I predicted defeats in the Juve and Chelsea team, but we won Juve and drew Chelsea.

This should be an easy crack paperer, Palace are poor and despite being better away from home one of our talents like Martial, Mata or Pogba will get it done over the 90 minutes. Line-up seems pretty straight forward as well, irritating that the tree is playing but that's life under this coach, the only question is whether it's Mata or Lingard who starts in the front 3, I think it will be Mata with Lingard and Rashford kept as subs for the last 20-25 minutes or so.

We are going to spank these at home I reckon. We will be keen to bounce back after city and I think we will. 3 or 4 nil for me. United minus 1 goal is probably how I’d play it to be on the safe side though. Hope lukaku is kept out of the team, he’s been atrocious this season.

Will be pissed of Matic and Lukaku start. Sanchez needs to be given a run up front.

What is the news on Valencia ? Has he really been injured, or just not 'fit' or is it a fallout with José ?
Played, and scored, for Ecuador during the break. Will most likely start today, can't see Darmian or Dalot getting in instead.

would love to see us play our best footballing squad in this..... I wonder are there any fitness issues with Pogba, Martial etc.... assuming fitness I'd dearly love to see an ambitious, high energy game featuring

    ------------------------------------DDG----------------------------------------
    Dalot----------------Smalling--------------------------Lindelof------------Shaw
    -----------------------------------Periera---------------------------------------
    ------------------------Fred------------------Pogba----------------------------
    ------------Mata------------------Sanchez-------------------------Martial-----

about time we brought Bailly back though - there's a cracking defender in there for me. Some might say the lineup is too attacking or offers no protection but if we defend from the front and work hard we will properly protect the defence. Matic has offered the protection of an umbrella in a hurricane lately anyway. from the limited time I've seen him I think Dalot could have a lot of freedom down our right with Mata floating about where he likes.
