Imagine we go out there tonight and really boss the game. We look like scoring with every attack, their keeper makes a bunch of amazing saves and we win by 2 or 3 clear goals. Just imagine that.

    Not easy, is it?

I never used to look forward to watching us as little as I do this season. Watching United used to be one of the highlights of my week. It's fecking killing me that this is no longer the case.
I think Moyes was definitely worse. I'd go into matches against the dregs of the league just hoping we don't lose. As boring as this shit is now, I'm certain that even if we do lose, it won't be a ribbing. Arsenal excluded, of course.

Ive been lucky in that real life has got in the way of football lately. Chin up, attacking football is (hopefully) just around the corner!

When you were saying this at the start of the season I found it hilarious, especially because you'd always seemed like such a down-to-earth, not prone to whining or drama sort of poster. Now I'm struggling not to wholeheartedly agree. We briefly combined a superb defence with a decent attack when Martial first arrived (and was actually allowed to, you know, play up front), and from then onwards we've just got steadily, relentlessly less fun to watch and less effective.

Rooney has to be dropped, obviously, but it's not really the players that are the problem. Everyone else in the team is a quality footballer capable of entertaining, effective football. The Philosophy needs to go out the fecking window.

Do you think we are trying to emulate teams like City too much but don't have the players to pull it off? 2 holding midfielders with a creative 3 in front and a striker works when you have Silva and Aguero in your team but we don't have anyone on that level.

The old way which was so good to watch was always built on traditional wing play which LVG doesn't seem to be interested in.

The thing is, that in September, when martial first came, we genuinely played good and attacking football. We passed to create chances and were looking as we did in a long time. Then mata/Herrera lost form, martial got pushed wide and now we're just ineffective. It seems to me like van gaals tactics are brilliant if everyone is on form and confident, but if a couple of players are off then we struggle to create anything right away.

Free tickets, free meal and free booze tonight. The taxi only cost 8.00 as well. Gonna put a tenner on 4 or 5 nil. Any suggestions?

I'll go against the grain and say I think we'll score a few goals tonight. I've predicted 3-0. Things have got to turn around at some point, when it comes to scoring goals.

I think Lingard will start. Young should start, but probably won't. Rooney shouldn't start, but probably will.

I think this is the week where things go wrong for English clubs in Europe once again.

Can see ourselves (Arsenal), City and maybe Chelsea losing. As for you guys, you're so inconsistent and unpredictable in terms of results. The only thing you can be sure of is that the game will be boring as feck.

I could see United winning but could just as easily see CSKA getting a result.

Jeez, I should get paid for this level of insight.

Rumors that Rooney has been rested because he is in the "red zone". Memphis/lingard start. Dont shoot me !

Horses for courses. I look forward to every game now. I like that I get to watch us play three times a week instead of once.

The Moyes era was draining. At least, at the moment, we win more games than we don't. Towards the back of end of the Moyes reign this was never the case. Hope of winning was all but gone.

Hopefully United can forced CSKA to make mistakes today...

I think it's same with me, but things are worst now because we come from Moyes year, followed by the two "in the process" season with Van Gaal.

I remember for years I used to watch the game, download and watch it again analyzing wins or losses. Now, I can barely watch most of the games once.

I feel the same. The Palace game was one of the first times in my life where I struggled to even pay attention to the game. Kept finding myself messing on my phone. Literally had to force my attention back onto the football. This has never happened before. It doesn't even feel like watching United.

It was a relief to watch the Everton v Sunderland game and be reminded that football is actually enjoyable.
