I think we should play the same team with 1/2 changes to ensure freshness during the busy period. Ie Herrera for Fred, Dalot for one of the fullbacks etc. Nothing tactical in relation to player changes, just christmas rotations.
    Indeed.
    De Gea
    Dalot Lindelöf Jones Shaw
    Matic
    Fred Pogba
    Lingard Rashford Martial

    Subs: Pereira, Mata, Herrera

Would like to see us rotate 4 players for this game and 3 more players for the Bournemouth game. For instance for Huddersfield - replacing Bailly with Jones, Herrera with Fred, Rashford with Lukaku and Dalot in for Shaw, and then for the Bournemouth game replacing Matic with Pereira, Rashford for Martial and Shaw for Young.

As for Huddersfield - imo by the far the worst team in the P.L. They score an average of 0.6 goals pr game, their form is rotten with 5 straight defeats. The only positive thing for Huddersfield-fans would have to be that they rarely get destroyed. After their 2 first matches (where they lost big) - they have only once lost by more than 2 goals (Watford away).

Looking forward - it's actually not impossible to be pretty close to top-4 by the end of january. I consider us huge favourites for 5 out of our next 6 games - and if we win those 5 (and lose to Spurs) we will get 15 Points, I am convinced that we will be a lot closer to top 4.

    - Arsenal - away to Liverpool, home to Chelsea, away to Brighton and West Ham - could easily drop 7-8 Points from those games.

    - Chelsea - 4 tough awaymatches to come - away to Watford, away to Palace, away to Arsenal and away to Bournemouth. Same here - could easily drop 6-7-8 Points.

    - Spurs - Everton away today - tough - but after that they on paper have by far the easiest program together with us. Watford and us at home - the other matches they normally will win easily.

But realistically - this is our chance - if we are more than 3-4 points behind 4th place when february comes - it will be tough with our fixtures in february and march

Matic did ok against Cardiff but he has been overplayed recently and deserves a rest to get back to his best. Swap him with Herrera and bring in Fred. The fluidity of our play if we keep the performance as we seen yesterday will suit Fred. Apart from that the only other change I'd consider is Dalot coming in, can't see that happening though. I'd like pereira to get at least half an hour also.

Absolutely buzzing for this, now. Can't wait to watch this team again in a couple of days! First time I've felt like this since 2013, it's brilliant.

    ----------------------DDG-------------------------------
    Young--------Jones--------Lindelöf-----------Shaw
    ---------------Herrera------Matic-----------------------
    ---------------------Pogba-----------------------------
    Lingard-----------Rashford-----------------Martial

SUBS - Fred (Matic), Pereira (Lingard), Gomes (Martial)

    Man United 3 - 0 Huddersfield Town
    Martial, Rashford, Fred.

Would like to see Dalot get minutes but there are probably players ahead of him that Ole would like to see in action.

    We'll win by 3 goals.

If United play the same way against Huddersfield, I expect a comfortable win. I expect few changes to the line-up with four games in eleven days.

    Prediction: 3-1

Cannot wait for this after the superb performance throughout the team against Cardiff.

Vitally important we don’t let our performance drop and basically the same again please.

Think Ole might make 1/2 changes in order to keep everyone fresh and on their toes.

    De Gea

    Dalot
    Lindelof
    Jones
    Shaw

    Fred
    Herrera
    Pogba

    Lingard
    Rashford
    Martial

    subs:

    Romero
    Bailly
    Young
    Fellaini
    A.Pereira
    Mata
    Lukaku

    Prediction:

    Manchester United 3-1 Huddersfield Town

I feel that Lukaku may come in and also Mata and Darmian and Fellaini and Fred. Ole needs to rest some players for the Bournemouth and Newcastle game so close. Those two games are extremely important.

Was thinking that we would score 4 but a bit more optimistic and think we are going to score 5, then put a few past Bournemouth then thrash Newcastle.

    ------------De Gea-------
    ---------Lindelof--Bailly--
    Dalot-------------------Shaw

    -------Perriera--Fred-------

Huddersfield will be not as tough as Bournemouth so need to rotate for this game.

Kind of want him to stick with the same XI, but I think they'll be two or three changes. I'd go for Dalot and Fred in, Young and Matic out. Sub on Pereira, Mata, and probably Fellaini.
I want to keep the exact same too, but I think at Christmas we need to rest a couple each game. I would choose to rest Young and Matic, but I would play Dalot and Fellaini. Fellaini is much better defensively and is also strong at set pieces, both ends. I also feel more confident in him keeping possession. Fred would be better suited to playing when we give Pogba a rest.

Even before Ole, we should have won easily at Cardiff, but the way things had gone in recent months, there was always a doubt that it might not turn out like that.

Again, before Ole, Huddersfield at home should be an easy win, but with the new feeling sweeping through Old Trafford, new tactics, and Oles first match at Old Trafford,
I expect an enjoyable game, with many attempts on goal, and a good scoreline, but still a little bit of me worries that Cardiff was to good to be true.
( I guess it will take a little time for the apprehension caused by Moyes, LVG and Mou to fade )

But i do know I am going to enjoy the way United are going to go for the win against Huddersfield, more than i would have said a week ago.

Ole back at Old Trafford as manager is going to feel like Christmas has come early, his style of playing no matter the outcome, will feel like the best present of all,
there will be setbacks, but I don't think that will come against Huddersfield.

2-0 or 3-0 hopefully. I'm strangely confident for this one. Confidence I didn't have before for a long time.

6-0.. We need to give that GD a bump. That's effectively 1 point.. Score 5 a few times and we'd be right up there.

Try and get 2 or 3 up then rotate in the second half in preparation for the games to follow which are coming thick and fast.

We need more options where the scoreline is concerned.

United are back. Many goals will be scored.

Huddersfield generally haven't been that bad but they have little forward threat, even less with Arron Mooy injured.

Early United goal and think this will be 4-0.

We had 74% possession against Cardiff, away from home. I can't remember many occasions where we got over 60% at all under Mourinho. I think Cardiff are at least a little bit better of a possession-based and passing side than Huddersfield are, so we really should be expecting to control this game, especially at Old Trafford, with 70%+ of the ball again. This is why I think we can forego a traditional defensive midfield player in this game as we'll have so much of the ball and Huddersfield, IMO, don't bring much of a threat bar set-pieces.

Of course, it happens more than once every season that a small team likely to be in a relegation scrap turns up, defends for their life, gets that stroke of luck and manages a result. However, I can't see that being on Boxing Day at Old Trafford. The lack of a forward on the bench is a little worrying for that reason and I wouldn't be surprised to see one of Greenwood or Gomes given that slot on the bench, but I'd still expect Fellaini, Mata, and Pereira to be the most likely game-changers if it came to it.

    de Gea
    Dalot Lindelof Jones Shaw
    Fred Herrera Pogba
    Lingard Rashford Martial
    ---
Romero; Bailly, Young; Matic, Fellaini, Pereira, Mata

I think we can play close to 50% of the game in Huddersfield's half, so Dalot and Shaw should be used to get us forward even more often. Just blow them away, I actually expect us to score 6+ goals over our next two games now.

There’s a lot of people on here wishing for Periera to start in CM. I really don’t think he’s good enough. I’d like to see a midfield three of Herrera, Fred and Pogba. With Lingard, Rashford and Martial up top. The other night was day was incredible but we need consistency

Likely the same lineup, to keep the momentum going.

If the starting 11 are fit, no injuries, except this time substitutions changes will likely be made way earlier, more minutes to play for our subs.

EDIT: Then again, I think there's going to be just one changes to the starting lineup, with Bailly replacing Jones.

If Smalling is fit I want him to start instead of Jones. Would also be happy if Fred gets to start. I am 100% certain that Greenwood is going to make his first team debut during this festive period.

I can't believe this game is not being shown in the UK. What a bummer that is for the UK based fans.

Don't know whether Ole will try and keep momentum by playing the same team or put in a few changes, knowing games will be coming thick and fast.

Think I would go with the same. If we can get a decent lead, then take off players who may need a rest.
He learned from SAF. That means he will likely rotate some players. I expect to see Fellaini in place of Matic and I won't be surprised if Lukaku gets a start. If Lukaku does start I hope we play a 4-4-2 just like SAF used to play for these kind of home games

    We have ways.

I'll go for 4-0. I was going to bet on that for the last game but didn't.

Will now be a nervy 1-0.

Players should keep GD in mind. We not only need to win this, but by a good margin as well.

Same XI except for Jones. Still don't rate him.

Based on what? I’ve been to last seasons game against Huddersfield at OT and it was a very dull game with us just about managing to squeeze a 2-0 win.
