Jesus guys, let's tone down the expectations ever so slightly.Huddersfield won't just turn up and let us batter them, there are two teams on the pitch after all.Anything less than 100% concentration and we'll be looking at a Crystal Palace/Leicester scenario from this past weekend.

Any win providing we play with the exact tempo/workrate as the Cardiff game will be good enough.
    2 or 3-0 for me.

Yeah. People need to hold on to their horses. It was just one game against one of the worst sides in the PL. The game was refreshing, doesn't mean we forget everything else.

Based on what? I’ve been to last seasons game against Huddersfield at OT and it was a very dull game with us just about managing to squeeze a 2-0 win.
To be fair 2-0 was a big win when Jose was in charge.

If we play exactly the same, will take any winning score.

This. It's great to feel positive again, but hey some should stay on the ground we have an awful lot still to prove we can beat anyone again.

Indeed. David Wagner is a very good coach, and he would likely find ways to get at our defence and test us. A win is a win. I’m just desperate for us to keep on picking up 3 points over this festive period, then we can assess what the gap is to the top 4 come New Year. If we can get it down to 6 or so by beginning of January it’s game on.

Huddersfield (H) - rotate with a few squad
    Bournemouth (H) - full strength
    Newcastle (A) - full strength
Reading (H) - rotate with a few squad

That would be my preference to keep things fresh with an eye on the next few fixtures given how we have those 4 games in an 11 day period.

2-0 against a team like Huddersfield, is a good result. Let's not make out that Huddersfield are a pub league team.

I think a lot of fans have become so frustrated with the way we have played this season, that they want a major "release".
If we win this game, 2-0, it will be a good result for us (we really do need a clean sheet).

We want no hiccups, here. We need 3 points. A clean sheet would be good. A game where we can use some fringe players. No surprises.

If we are to make top 4 (which I think is almost impossible), we will need to hit title winning form, which means 3 points should be the focus of every single match.

Honestly think we're going to be brought crashing back down to earth here with a 3 0 win.

Got a ticket for this, Old Trafford will be rocking

Anyone fancy meeting up for a beer beforehand?
Sure, I will. Just lost my job so appreciate the gesture plus I go on about immigrants all the time, that cool?

Would like to see more of Fred for the Huddersfield game, and Big Rom for later match. Still believing that both of them has something to offer.

    De Gea
    Dalot - Bailly - Lindelöf - Shaw
    Fred - Herrera
    Pogba
    Lingard - Rashford - Martial

that's what I'd go with. A couple of changes make sense due to the schedule, but don't rock the boat too much.

The only changes I would like to see are Dalot, Bailly and Fred in for Young, Jones and Matic and seeing how Sanchez plays in this new rejuvenated squad instead of Lingard or Rashford.

Would love to see some youngsters under Ole, but rather he wins the first couple games and then introduce them later on. Like in the Reading game or some from the bench against Newcastle.
For this match i would like pretty much the same team, with a few rotations.

    -------------DDG------------
    Dalot--Bailly----Victor--Shaw
    ----------Fred--Andreas-----
    Lindgard----Pogba----Martial
    -----------Rashford-----------

With Mata, Herrera and Young comming on from the bench.
If Alexis is fit, sub him on istead of Young

This is what I’d like to see as well. Although I would like to keep Lindelöf in the RCB role somehow.

    I love the positivity

Get the balance right and let the lads go out and fly at them! The atmosphere will be amazing for Ole.

Score early and it will be rocking! literally cannot wait.

im not sure we should totally throw any stability out the window, putting fred with his 6 pl games with left winger over herrera and matic. Seems like we would be asking for it and far overconfident

I'd like to see Fred replace Matic.

I really think Fred will come good and a forward thinking style of play will suit him better than Jose's style.

I have a hunch it'll remain much the same though.

I'd expect a 3-0 win and some positive substitutes earlier in the game. Like to see Periera/Dalot in particular used earlier. Seems a waste using Fellaini/Mata as we know what they can do....

It’s weird being excited to watch United and wishing it was game day already.

I hope Ole doesn't go too far with the changes, as much as I want to see Dalot come in I think the fact he kept Young as Captian means we'll see him start again. I also think the front 4 should stay in tact, but I'd make a change in midfield and at CB.

Only changes I could see (outside of injuries) are Matic and Young. I could see Pereira being picked to start over Fred if Ole likes him at DM and that lets Herrera keep that spot on the right side of midfield

For the first time this season am actually annoyed that the game is not on regular TV in the US and if I want to watch, will have to get the online subscription or find it some other way. Even more of how we performed against Cardiff. Hopefully OT crowd will be just as up for it.

Fred to come in Lingard did a lot of running. Otherwise no need to change
