    Critical game.

Massively handicapped by the missing players, but if we lose this one we're in real trouble, and the pressure will start to massively ramp up.

We'll have to set up cautiously I think, give Vardy no space to destroy us into, cut off Maddison's space, and hope to cause them problems with our pace (Rashford, James), and movement ( Lingardinho :wenger: )

Can't see him putting Greenwood in, but if he's not going to with Martial out, how we can possibly judge him a first team forward?
And if we don't judge him that, how can you possibly go into a full season, with only Martial and Rashford, when both will play every game -it's not an either or!!

i think if he plans on playing gomes thursday it would make sense to get him on the bench at least today. If lingard is out along with the rest of the missing squad we know is out, and gomes STILL can't find a place on the bench not really sure when that will ever happen then.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. Is he injured? Not fit? Still on his honeymoon? It’s like the club has forgotten about him.
He was back late and missed most of preseason but you would have thought he'd have been on the bench by now at least.

Something isn't adding up unless the plan was to get him minutes in the cups to get him match fit and bring him in if he did well there.

If you look at Atletico Madrid they got 6 players this summer that covered their midfield and all defensive positions all for what we paid out for just Maguire and Bissaka, we spent poorly imo, maybe our defence wouldnt be so exposed if we had a midfield that can actually control a game, I would have even had preferred we focused on the attack over the defence with how much we are struggling in front of goal not just the start of this season but also in the last few months of last season as well and especially with little depth, poor planning of a half assed rebuild.
Only way for this club to become contenders again is to wait until the owners sell to get some value back before it plummet due to mismanagement. 2-3 seasons more i guess. We are not even close to top 4 and we will have to rely on increase in the new EPL deal for increased revenue. Only other way is to sell the naming rights to OT, but that will cause the fans to revolt.

Keep in mind DDG was potentially leaving over the summer. Our GA last season even with him was 10th. There was no way not to invest in defense. Midfield looks a priority now only because our defense is better.
I disagree, midfield looked like a priority even before the window started. If you don’t believe me, then google Vidic saying our defense was Ok and and we needed to invest in midfield. I do think we absolutely had to replace our RB, but I take Vidic’s comments more about central defenders.

Just typical! I look at Leicester's injury list to see if they have any players out and they have the grand total of ZERO injury concerns following international break

Is Fred still a United player? Where the feck is he?
There was an article about this published a couple of weeks back. Ole stated that as Fred is currently "at the back of the queue", he will only feature in the domestic cup competitions or as fixtures begin to pile up.

Quite how Fred managed to fall behind the likes of Matic, Lingard and Mata in the pecking order is anyone's guess.

Wouldn't be surprised with that. Then Lingard comes from the bench to save us . Can't wait to see 8 minutes of Greenwood too.

There's definitely something more to this behind the scenes. Gun to head? I'm going for......Fred has basically realised this is the pinnacle of his career, being in his late 20s and previously playing in the Ukrainian league, but he knows he isn't up to the job and is taking the piss and earning this big salary for nothing while he can. I honestly think he's not committed whatsoever and managers are blanking him as a result. I reckon he'll end up leaving next summer to a 3rd tier league like Poland or something.

All set for the fans to destroy Rashford. Congratulations Manchester United, you have done it again.

at this point Im just tired. Need a break from football. Leicester shouldn't have a better first 11 than ours even with injuries. I dont feel like waiting another 2 seasons because we have already done that 3 times.
At this point I’d be delighted to have to only wait another two season it’s likely to be much longer.

Even with our first choice 11 there wouldn’t be much difference between teams, it’s painful how average this squad is even with just Martial and or Pogba outlet alone the others who are injured.

This is a game Ole really needs to win, can probably only do it if it’s scrappy and we score first. Originally thought a draw but see Leicester winning and this next 5-6 league games being beginning of end for Ole.

Fair enough. I considered getting the back line sorted the priority because Jose played dire football to keep numbers behind the ball. Maybe Vidic felt with the manager change we could make a central partnership work. After all we had what, 7 CBs to mix and match. Whether Pogba stays or goes, I agree midfield must be the priority next summer.

Move Mata to the middle and start Mason

I was hoping Ole would have given Fred a little game time before shutting the door on his United career, especially when you consider the lack of competition in the midfield area, but it seems the manager has made up his mind already.

I'm not 100% on Fred's salary, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a 6-figure one. Sad really, yet another failed Mourinho transfer.

We are in for a hammering, aren't we?
Rashford up front who needs a dozen chances to score, and Ashley fecking young to gift goals to the opposition. Just glad that Jlingz isn't there to stink up the joint more.

Not having a good feel about the game. A win for us actually would be a huge surprise. I see us being outplayed and outscored. Hopefully I get surprised tomorrow. Predicting 3-1 to Leicester.

No point planning and worrying about 3 years from.now if you wont survive this year.

Tired of listening to lets wait 3 years while the rebuilt is done. At this rate 3 years from now we'd be in championship

It was stated that McKenna was the guy who recommended we buy Frederinho.

Interview might be a crock of shit though given the 'anonymity' of the apparent interviewee...

We are witnessing how poor our squad is.

    The plastics will blame Ole.

    The culprits are the Glazers.

    God I hate the scum.
I don't think Ole is totally blameless. He's not a total puppet, that plays him a massive disservice.

It certainly doesn't feel great, but I can remember setting off to OT in trepidation once, when we had about 3/4 of the team injured, no forward, and were playing Arsenal.

Pretty unknown Rashford gets a go, and we beat them 3-2.

    Keep the faith.

I hate being this negative before the game but unless we put on a great show I cannot see a good result.

As for the Arsenal result, well they are Arsenal. What else do you expect from them. I am more confident of beating arsenal later this month than I am against Leicester or West Ham.

What if he demanded more and it was not delivered?
Then that is the negotiators fault. Depends who he wanted and if they were asking stupid money. We are inclined to take every rumour as gospel, when we are not entirely sure who we actually went for.
