    We've dropped points against teams we should win with pretty much the full squad. I can't imagine we'll get anything from the game against a solid opposition with some of our most important players missing.

    Can we go 3 at the back with Rojo and Young as FBs??

    Tunazebe Maguire Lindeolf
    Young McTominay Matic Rojo
    Mata
    Rashord James

    I love Garner but he's nit ready for a game like Leicester yet. I'd guess Scott, Matic, Periera. Yuck
    Top class midfield that. It's like the football gods want to punish Woodwards incompetence instantly this season.

    Leicester will field a comfortably better XI to go with a better manager.
    De gea>Schemeicel
    Young<Pereira
    Rojo<Chilwell
    Lindelof=Evans
    Maguire>Soyuncu
    Matic<Ndidi
    McTominay=Choudhury
    Mata<Tielemans
    Pereira<Maddison
    James=Albrighton
    Rashford<Vardy
    Even De gea, McTominay and James being as good as their Leicester counterparts is arguable. I haven't watched much of James and Soyuncu, and De gea has been terrible for ages. They will have Barnes, Perez, and Praet on the bench, and we will have teenagers. Their team pisses all over ours across every position on paper. I won't be complaining if we don't win.

    I did think a change of formation could be needed, personally though I'd go Young a RWB and James at LWB with Greenwood up front with Rashford

    Plus Mata behind them, that could work.
    without wanting to sound negative I do doubt Ole's nous to change formations given the injury situation. I fear he'll stick with the 4-2-3-1 and just fill the positions with those who are most comfortable there

    I expect this now:

    de Gea
    Young Lindelof Maguire Rojo
    McTominay Matic
    Mata
    Greenwood Rashford James
    ---
    Romero; Tuanzebe, Jones; Andreas, Gomes, Lingard, Chong

    Hopefully Wan-Bissaka is fit enough to start, maybe Fred on the bench over someone if he's up to speed yet (probably over Lingard if he fails a late fitness test). If none of our doubtful players make it back we really are down to bare bones already and it's only September... Garner would be the next most senior player to bring in after everyone else listed in this post.

    I fancy us to lose this game but not heavily, I'm still going with Utd 1-2 Leicester, but I wouldn't be shocked if we drew or even managed to sneak the win. Would be an extremely good result if we win this game though, no doubt about that. Not being pessimistic as this is a good Leicester squad and we're stricken with injuries and not on good form.

    I hope not, we don't have the players for a 4231

    Maybe people will finally realise that throwing 3 18 years old in the league doesnt actually work like in football manager
    Depends what you mean by "work"

    On the plus side, Gomes will probably make the bench. Wasn't that what most people were clamouring for?

    So wait, Pogba and Martial are both injured?

    Chris on a bike, this could be grim.
    Surprised me that people weren’t aware we had all these injuries, must switch off during international week. I been dropping hints all week we were gonna be in trouble.

    Can see you starting Greenword tomorrow.

    Certainly with those injuries Leicester will be looking at the 11 put out and be thinking they should be taking a point at least from this game.

    If he is then I hope Ole plays him where he's best -through the middle. I don't see why he is being asked to do a job wide.

    Think anyone with a lot of youngsters in their line up will be disappointed. I reckon most of those will be held back until Thursday and we're far more likely to see people like Rojo, Matic and Mata in this game. Solskjaer hasn't shown much indication he's ready to trust the young players in League games yet and I don't see that changing yet.

    Chong, Gomes and potentially Garner will be on the bench I reckon, Greenwood has got to start though. James and Rashford isn't enough up top.

    I think most young forwards get shunted out there to protect them slightly. Someone like Wes Morgan flying into the back of him will do him no favours.

    I wonder if Garner and Gomes will know get their chance. He did say in September and October they'll be in the team. Now seems as good as time as any.

    Yeah I think the first two will definitely be on the bench. They almost have to be at this due to sheer lack of numbers if nothing else. Maybe Garner, but honestly I'd expect Greenwood to be on there too. I expect that Pereira or Mata (Maybe both) will be who is chosen for the forward section.

    We have the EL on Thursday, you could see him throwing them in then and hoping for the best.
    Possibly. I still think at least one of them will be on the bench on Saturday. Our squad is so thin they almost have to be on there.

    I don't think Matic and Mata can play in the same side. Both are slow. Played together we'll be run over. If we want to play Mata we must play Fred, not Matic. Otherwise we lose tomorrow.

    Not the news i wanted to hear with Shaw,Martial,Pogba out and their replacements will likely be Young,Mata,Matic or Lingard which highlights how light on options United have in the panel now. (thanks to board and Woodward for leaving the panel the way it is)

    Not confident of getting a result against a in form Leicester who unlike United have loads of creativity in their team and clinical striker.

    This club is cursed. Almost half our starting XI is injured. It's ridiculous, is there a reason for these obscene amount of injuries? Something surely must be wrong.

    Feck this fixture already. Dammit
