Are the top teams colluding against Sky/BT/PL by not bothering in these "big matches" in revolt against the packed schedule?

Each big game has been so cagey, everyone seems to be happy to draw and bank on their chances against the smaller teams in the league.

Cowardly game, Mourinho crucified for this kind of stuff. To play the first half cautiously was fine, but to stick with the safety approach the entire second really is pathetic.
Then is it fans like you are the problem? Last I check that manager that got hounded out by the likes of you are top of the table.

Some really horrible to watch games, too. This is another one of them. The Chelsea and Arsenal games were of a similar sort of note.
A handful of bad games to a shit load of mad ones. Our season has been anything but boring

What a bore. A draw is a fair result. I guess both teams are happy to settle on that

"The boys played really well after the disappointment of Tuesday, we came together as a team and they picked themselves up and were ready to go again. Of course I'm a bit disappointed but a point is still a good result against a very good side."

Time for the Ole out insufferables to come out in full force. “Cowardly tactics, too defensive, boring football” etc etc and other nonsense. This was a cagey affair with two teams afraid to lose. We were well drilled this time around and defensively strong. The results will start getting better at home.

I want to be the side with 60% possession and pushing the tempo in every game. At some point we’ve got to move beyond counter attacking. Our strength lies in our attacking players not our deafness so play to that strength. We look so much better attacking teams than we do sitting back.
Not even Liverpool plays like that. There is a very good team on the other side. Who dominates them with 60% possession and high tempo? Nobody will.

Absololute shite that but I'm sure Ole will be happy. We didn't lose so that's progress in his eyes and I'm sure he will be grinning like a cheshire cat in his post match interview.

So whats that's now a home record of 6 wins in 15 home league games in 2020.

    Again progress.

It was also weird seeing Manchester United play like themselves whilst City played like United also. In a title race my ass.

The worrying thing is we have taken just 2 points from a possible 12 at home against Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal and City.

They will all likely have fans in the stadium when we play them away in 2021, making it even harder.

Don't knock it down, it's a great result for the manager and a good result for the club overall. We can match the best clubs in the league. We need to build on consistency.

We are now consistently shit at home, while good on our travels.

    Needs to be more balanced.

When exactly...because they have been shit for the whole calender year so far. 6 league wins from 15 is embarrassingly bad.

So by that logic, our away form can get worse when fans return to grounds we visit.

    Works both ways.

Why worry about that? Away form has been very good for us, so if anything, it suits us better. And, this pt is still valuable as it puts us at 4 pts from the top. One of Spurs or Liverpool will lose pts soon.

Have you been living under a rock for 10 years? City have been much better than us for a long long time so we have often played defensively against them. And sometimes we've gone and won the game playing that way too.

If we head to head them, blow to blow.... They'd beat us 8 or 9 times out of 10.

Ole can't do right for doing wrong.

There’s always a possibility & I don’t deny it, I’m not claiming I was always Mourinho in, couldn’t stand him for the last year of his tenure and certainly wanted him gone, amongst quite a few players as well.

Just don’t understand why we find it so hard to find a manager who likes to play attacking football.

Moyes, LVG, Mourinho, Ole: Differing philosophies but all ultimately safety first.

Edit: I will say this though, it was always bizarre not backing him, after he arguably had United at their best for a number of years (might not mean much in grand scheme). It was always pointless keeping him on after that failed transfer window because he would never let it go.

Whole calendar year? Are you fecking mad or just have selective memory. The only way some of you will be happy is if we go 38-0. It’s a draw at home to city. This result won’t dictate how our season goes, it’s the games we’re supposed to be winning that have cost us but we have managed to beat west ham and Southampton, so we’re trending in the right direction.

Home draws are never a good result. Never. Unless it's against Brazil 1970 or Barcelona 2011.

We won't find it as easy on the road when fans return to away grounds. Our home form might improve, but we will drop more points away as a counter balance.

This draw confirmed for me that neither of these teams will be competing for the league this season.

Liverpool and Spurs, and then possible Chelsea as outsiders (especially if they win later).

And these teams want to make a super league! Why would anyone watch it when that's the sort of match we'd have to sit through?
