What frightens me most about this match is that Ole seems to completely lost his ability to coach compact, counterattacking football.

Yes, we were able to pull it off last Saturday with a 3-5-2. However, last night in Bergamo we went in 1-1 at halftime. We could have, and should have, set up to absorb pressure and him them on the break. Yet we couldn't do it.

We should be able to repeat what we did at the Etihad in March. However, looking at how we are playing right now, a City win looks the obvious outcome.

I've got a feeling about this game. But I did say that before the Liverpool game too.

    Okay, I'll shut up.

Some progressive football will be played resulting in proper spanking by noisy neighbors.

If pep has learnt anything, he will set out to neutralise Bruno and Ronaldo. That should be enough for us to be non entities on the break.

as far as them scoring, it’s as inevitable as Van De Beek not starting

Just wonder if Ronaldo might have that RVP moment in a Manchester Derby

Bruno, Cavani and Ronaldo can score against this City team. It’s a question of whether we are prepared to play almost like the away team at Old Trafford with a full crowd.

Who will City play with no Laporte? Stones or Ake?

This City team can be got at on the counterattack. Palace showed that.

I suspect five at the back with McFred, Bruno Rashford Ronnie as the forwards. We need to be compact and prepared to counter.

It's pointless wishing we lose, Ole is here until the end of the season regardless and we need to be pushing for top 4.

Ole will be very scared to lose and we'll go uber defensive. Maybe can snatch a draw.

    Think Ole will go for

    De Gea
    Bailly - Lindelof - Maguire
    Bissaka - McTominay - Fred - Shaw
    Bruno
    Cavani - CR7

I predicted a 5-0 loss vs. Spurs and was gladly proven wrong so I have submitted the same prediction for Saturday.

Up the sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit Reds.

    I think he will play....

    --------------------------------------------------DDG--------------------------------------------------------
    ----------------------Bailly------------Maguire (gulp)-------Shaw------------------------------
    AWB----------------------------Fred-------------------McTominay--------------------Telles
    ---------------------------------------------Bruno-------------------------------------------------------
    -------------------------------Cavani-----------------Ronaldo--------------------------------------

be tempted to play Rashford/Lingard in this as the Manchester connection means something in these games and I'm not sure above team gives us best breaking potential but I doubt he will

I don’t think Guardiola is going to settle for back to back league defeats. He’s going to want to win this game so to not let Chelsea get further away.

Ole will go back to the 4-2-3-1 without Varane

    AWB Bailly Maguire Shaw
    Fred McTominay
    Greenwood Fernandes Rashford
    Ronaldo

    I hate it.

Is Lindelof not fit? Surely it’ll be the same back line as last night but with Lindelof for Varane.

One of my main annoyances last night was that we went to 5212 rather than the 532 we saw against Spurs. Bruno playing higher seemed to hinder us, I'd rather have McT and Bruno both as 8s to allow a quicker pressure when the ball is switched.

He should play 433 with a MF of Fred Donny and Matic. Bench Bruno and play Greenwood Ronaldo and Rashford or swap Sancho for one of Greenwood or Rashford.

Hopefully we pick up the 3 points and go on a run, it would be huge for the teams confidence.

I suspect many of you would be gutted.
I want Ole gone because I don't see any future with us winning anything. However, I will always want Manchester United to win and if we do somehow win the league with Ole I'll be happy which obviously will never happen.

The Atalanta game was the worst. We played shit and should not have even got a point if it wasn't Ronaldo.

What is obvious is that Ole will be sacked and this will be sometime this season or the next. We won't have won anything but we will see our rivals improving and winning trophies. We will celebrate some games of winning but end of the day feels like a small club mentality. Beating the big teams for a day of joy, is why I guess others want the team to lose, so can have hope for the team to achieve something in the future.

Yep, no idea why we changed the midfield shape from Saturday where we looked compact and actually had a midfield to the same shape we have played all season which has been awful and chaotic and gives us no control and a remarkable amount of problems.

Maybe because pogba was involved? Its the only thing I can think, he wanted to be the playmaker and not a box to box? Bruno wanted to roam maybe? Mcom was basically on his own in midifled for large parts of last night.

If its like that again Saturday we will be in big trouble, hopefully no and we see the shape from Saturday and a coherent midfield.

I'm not fearing another Liverpool performance. There is no way Ole sets the team up to match them, he'll set the team up to soak up pressure and hit them on the counter.
