Have we really never played PSG before in our entire history? Seems crazy.

I can't wait for this game. I think we have a great chance in the first leg, I'm going for a 2-1 win.

Really hope our guys give plenty of treatment to Di Maria. He really disrespected our club, never tried to make it work and downed tools despite being paid ridiculous money. Of all our post Fergie signings he really got on my nerves.

Well this is it for Ole and the team. This is where all the progress is finally analysed on an international stage. We will finally discover if the team have actually progressed or if it is a false dawn.

I predicted 3-0. It will be one of those special nights. Too confident? Maybe, but i am so happy how we play, how things are going so 3-0.

Think we might see another midfield diamond with Lingard playing a false 9 role. The way Dani Alves attacks we're going to want to exploit the space behind him as much as possible. Lets hope we put away out chances because I think we'll get plenty after watching these lot against Lyon.

Neymar out and Cavani looks he will be missing the game as well now. Verrati only just returned, so won’t exactly be 120% match fit. I’m really looking forward to watching this game and feeling a little confident we can get a result. Sounds crazy as when this draw happened, I thought we would get embarrassed by them!

Starting XI pretty much picks itself:

    De Gea

    Young
    Lindelof
    Jones
    Shaw

    Herrera
    Matic
    Pogba

    Lingard
    Rashford
    Martial

    subs:

    Romero
    Dalot
    Bailly
    Fred
    Mata
    Lukaku
    Sanchez

    Prediction:
    Man Utd 1-0 PSG

    Goalscorer:
    Pogba

Just watching the highlights of their game today. Veratti just did 60 and Was replace by Paredes but Mbappe, honestly I can’t decide if most defenders in the French league are just very slow or he is just insanely fast because you watch some of his sprints at times and he makes Rashfords speed look average. It’s frightening how fast he is, would love to see a race between the two, hopefully on Tuesday we’ll get some sort of moment where they are going head to head in a race for something.

I’d love to see us put 3 or 4 past them. Would really make a statement

I've gone full circle on this: from having zero confidence and dreading it under Mourinho, to fancying our chances and looking forward to the match now. Feels like we're properly back in the big league, long may it continue.

Being honest having seen their last game and now this Bordeaux game if they are as poor as they look or as open as they have been if we didn’t at least put 3 past them I’d be disappointed.

They look trash but they might be one of those big occasion teams.

I’m guessing they might gamble on Veratti and Parades and just throw them in ready or not with Draxler in the mix.

Contrary to popular expectation I think we might do alright. PSG really aren't all that, they walk a second rate league and usually pop up around now for their annual spanking in the CL knockouts. If it's not us it will be the next team they face.

I think we'll do them and the talk will be how Ole got lucky v an injury ravaged PSG side.

I'm shitting it now but that feels good. When the draw was made, I was mostly apathetic and I gave us zero chance.

Now, however... I really want to win this. And we have a chance - but they are still clear favourites. So my nerves are already shot.

    Why are they clear favourites?

Its a lose lose for Ole. If he wins he got lucky because of PSG injuries. If he loses even worse because he didnt take advantage and lost the opportunity. I don't care tbh if we got through, we've only been in the quarters once in the last 8 years and from there anything is possible.

    3-0. It's PSG, we're Manchester United.

Will I regret this? Maybe but until then bring it on.

It's a good opportunity to get a 4-0 win for us. Their defence is simply not up to par with what our quick attacks / counters can do, and then you have Pogba who may just boss it. Mbappe is of course a threat, but there is De Gea in goal

Don't think they are much stronger than us at all, they certainly aren't without Neymar. These are overrated every year, not to say they aren't an excellent side as they are but they aren't that special.

We'll win this. Neymar is out and Veratti will not be at 100%. That's the two most important players in their team. Neymar is a massive loss for PSG, he was a level above everyone when PSG played Liverpool in Paris.

The stars are aligning for Ole to come out victorious against PSG. It seems Di Mateo black magic is at play at the moment. It is suspicious that Neymar, Cavani, Verrati and Meunir could all be out for this match. Might we see the return of Choupa Mouting to Old Trafford? I believe we are favorite for this, which speaks volumes to the fantastic job Ole has done so far.

Think we’ll beat these, and I said that when the draw was made even under Jose. PSG have been a continual disappointment in the CL of late and just don’t have the pedigree. They have no bottle, and can’t win a decent tie as favourites.

Considering injuries and our form, I’m even more confident we’ll beat them. Would have rested Shaw today though as he has the most important job for us defensively.

It's crazy how I'll be disappointed with anything less than a win.

PSG are much stronger than us, even with raft of injuries their front 3 is going to be Draxler, Mbappe and Di Maria. Defence will have to play out of their skin for us to get through this tie.

Good thing is we aren't going to play like chickens and actually have a go at their defence, so we stand a chance. Should be a cracker!

Mbappe really scares me. Not felt that way about an opposition player since Messi.
As long as we don't setup with a suicidal high line in defence we should be okay, Jones should not be in the XI as we need Bailly's physicality and pace vs him.

I hope De Gea can frustrate him as well, he usually steps up in CL matches.

If Mbappe plays on the right then I'm confident that Shaw can minimize his threat to a degree.

If he switches to the left however...

We are in great form, but I do not see us knocking PSG out of CL this season. I expect a loss or a draw at OT and then a loss in Paris. Would not hold it against Ole though. He is doing absolutely fantastic with the material he has at his disposal.

Anyone know what the atmosphere will be like in and around W205? Thought the whole Stretty would be bouncing but now I’ve realised it’s an “International Suite” and I’m worried it’ll be dead in there.

As long as we’re giving it a go and putting them under the pressure as United should be doing at OT to any team I won’t be too disappointed even with the loss. We can’t approach it like that Sevilla game (Fellaini starting in place of Pogba:lol:).
