Think AWB, Martinez, Eriksen, Bruno, Antony, Rashford definitely need a rest. Weghorst as well.

On the other hand Varane, Shaw and Casemiro should start this one, then rest vs Forest in return leg. Need few quality players on the pitch.

We need to rest ten Hag for the busy February coming up. Bring back Wreck-It Ralf.

What reception do you think The Guvnor Paul Ince will receive? Reading gaffer
If we were at Reading away he'd get 90 mins of stick.

At home, and no TRA (if you didn't know - politics) - he'll get off easy.

Underrated player for United but you can’t go to Liverpool…

    Why no TRA?
Cracking player mate but acted the dick. Before my time though.

TRA boycotted it as they had an agreement to have the section next to the away end in cup games and Utd went back on it. I'll dig out the statement tomorrow.

He if my first United team as a kid and always remember the celebration with Giggs. Don’t think I appreciated him that much then though as I was just obsessed with Cantona.

I wasn’t aware with the TRA so interested to have a look. Im at the 2nd leg so assume it will be the same for that.

Back on for the Forest leg as they are taking the full allocation so TRA in the usual spot. Disagreement with Reading due to them leaving the South Stand section open.

This is the one. Should win comfortably. Rests key players. Gives experience to Pellistri Garnacho and Malacia. If we are winning comfortably look to get Mainoo or Zidane on.

Savage has left out on loan today I believe. Laird's been on loan all season.

    Butland
    AWB-Maguire-Lindelof-Malacia
    McT
    Mainoo/Iqbal- Fred
    Pellistri-Elanga-Garnacho
I imagine we will see something like this. I really hope to see Iqbal.

I reckon we might go a bit stronger for this one now we've got that 3-0 lead because I don't think he'll want everyone having 10 days off.

I’d still start a somewhat strong squad here, with a view to making changes at the 60 min mark.

We surely won’t mess up the second leg of the Forrest match. Let’s avoid a cupset here. Rotate further vs Forrest next week.

If Sancho is available to start, I’d start him here.

    De Gea
    AWB - Varane - Martínez - Malacia
    Casemiro - Fred
    Pellistri - Bruno - Garnacho
    Weghorst

Well the europa league has 4 matches before the champions league starts again. Plus the world Cup won't be mid season next year and hopefully no rich people die so the fixture list should be much more chilled.

Anyway for reading I would rest just about everyone.

    Heaton
    Awb maguire lindelof malacia
    Mcfred
    Pellistri sancho (if available) garnacho
    Martial

I am not arsed if we go out of the fa Cup now we have a league Cup final nearly in the bag. But that team should be able to beat a mid table championship side quite easily.

I think last nights result has shifted the dynamic of this one a bit. We can afford to go a little stronger on this one now, knowing that the 2nd leg against Forest is the one were we can bench / omit tired players. I'd expect a strong starting team, hopefully get the job done early doors and then bring some of the fresher players off the bench to ride the game out.

Definitely need to rotate the squad the next 2 games.

For me the line ups for the next two games should be:

    -------------------------------------------------Butland---------------------------------------------------------------
    AWB-----------------------------Lindelof--------------------Maguire----------------------------Malacia
    -------------------------------------Casemiro----------------Mctom-----------------------------------
    Elanga--------------------------------------------Bruno-----------------------------------------Garnacho
    --------------------------------------------------------Wout-------------------------------------------------------

As soon as we get a couple of goals ahead get Bruno and Casemiro. Can't afford a slip up though in what would be a tricky tie.

Then for the next Forrest Game I'd go full change:

    ----------------------------------------------------Butland--------------------------------------------------------------
    Lindelof-------------------------Maguire---------------------Shaw-----------------------------------Malacia
    ----------------------------------------------Mctom------------Mainoo---------------------------------
    Pellestri--------------------------------------------Fred------------------------------------------Garnacho
    --------------------------------------------------------Elanga-------------------------------------------------

Ideally I'd like to put Sancho in one or both of them but no idea where he's up to.

I actually think it might be something closer to this:

    de Gea
    Wan-Bissaka Varane Maguire Malacia
    Casemiro Fred
    Sancho Bruno Rashford
    Weghorst

Ideally bring back Dalot & Shaw against Forest if fit. Rest Casemiro, Bruno, and Rashford against Forest to start McTominay, Eriksen, and Garnacho. Utilize the substitutions well. Hopefully Martial is back then too...

Really want to see Sancho back in the side as he could be key to our season since only Rashford is providing goals at a high rate. I'm probably optimistic there though and Sancho will come off the bench here and maybe start against Forest if he's ready.

The 'weakest' line-up we used this season was probably against Aston Villa at Old Trafford in the League Cup. Which was:

Dubravka; Dalot, Maguire, Lindelof, Malacia; McTominay, Fred; Bruno, van de Beek, Garnacho; Martial

If Dalot & Martial are still out (with Donny) then it kind of limits who can really be rested anyway. I don't expect Pellistri, Elanga, Zidane etc to start but maybe come off the bench.
