Yes, it constitutes dangerous play, and is called a foul all over the pitch. If it wasn't, you'd tell a Zlatan to taekwondo the shit out of everyone in box. And then it'd be a different sport altogether. A stray elbow would normally also be called a foul, but it's a more natural occurrence, and more subjective.Disagree - I think if he's contesting the ball (not off the ball like happened here) it should count. If he wins the header and then falls onto a defender and accidentally his elbow catches his face, is that ruled out? If his hip hits the face is that better than the knee?
A knee to the face at that height is not subjective at all.
