    De Gea

    Dalot
    Smalling
    Lindelof
    Shaw

    Pereira
    McTominay
    Pogba

    Sanchez

    Rashford
    Lukaku

That's what I'm hoping for, I don't really want to see Fred again, he was dreadful against Palace. Hopefully 2/3-0 up 60 minutes in so we can get Gomes on at the tip of the diamond or Greenwood on for Rashford, so he gets some rest for Wednesday.

    Pretty much what we expected.

Martial could be fit enough for the bench, but the expected 18 is the same from the Palace game. Rashford is probably quite likely to start over Dalot/Young since we're at home.

Will Greenwood be fit for this game?

We should win this one comfortably, would be a bit of a disaster to drop points here.

Ok. We cant lose these type of games from now on. Arsenal has a much easier schedule than us till the end of the season. We still got to play against City and Chelsea.

Im confident well win tomorrow but also a bit nervous knowing we cant drop points if we want to think about CL next season

I don't get how someone could think Fred was dreadful at Palace, but Pereira has been acceptable in his last two games?

Young LB, Dalot RB? Shaw is a yellow away from suspension and we really need him against Arsenal. If Shaw plays, it's a formality he will get a yellow because that's our luck.

edit: I guess Rojo could play LB and Young RB.

I don’t think Fred was dreadful but he wasn’t brilliant to be fair. Seemed a bit nervey and a few misplaced passes. Hopefully if he plays it will help his confidence.

Yeah, I would like to see Shaw left out so he doesn't miss the Arsenal game, but I'm not sure if Ole is going to think like that. He's very much one game at a time, but I would agree with you. It would be a sensible decision as the Yellow Cards don't reset until it's basically too late anyway. I think they are competition specific now as well, so if he picks up a booking he is likely to miss at least one important game anyway. A booking against Southampton means he misses Arsenal away and Watford home. A booking against Arsenal means he misses Watford home and Wolves away (PL fixture). Hopefully he picks up the booking against Arsenal or Watford, as we go into mid-April facing Everton away, City home, and Chelsea home before the 10-card 2-game ban isn't applicable.

It's possible Ole will just take the risk, tell Luke to be careful and then sub him off for Dalot/Young/Darmian/Rojo/Bailly after an hour. There's going to be little opportunity to rest Shaw in the coming weeks as well, so it does make sense to either rest him here or against PSG regardless of the Yellow Cards.

On that note, expecting something like this:

    de Gea
    Dalot Smalling Lindelof Shaw
    Fred McTominay Pogba
    Lukaku Rashford Sanchez
    ---
Romero; Young, Bailly, Rojo; Pereira, Garner; Chong

Hopefully Bailly can come on for Shaw so Young is rested (Dalot to move to Left Back). Garner can get on the pitch again and Chong another appearance for The Rash so he can be even more fresh for PSG and Arsenal. Ideal scenario and all that.

Think Smalling and Young might get rested for PSG. Expect Martial to feature late on for 20 minutes or so.

    Gone with:

    DDG
    Dalot Bailly Lindelof Shaw
    Pereira McTominay Pogba
    Rashford Lukaku Sanchez
I don't think Fred will feature here.

We need to pick up our home form if we have any chance of finishing top 4. It's not great currently

Why isnt our home form great? We were on an 8 game winning streak and then had a random game where we dropped points home to Burnley (as tends to happen after big win streaks), despite vastly outplaying them and creating tons of chances (and getting the draw in the end). We drew to Liverpool but played better than them and couldve won despite a fuk ton of injuries. We lost to PSG which we'll almost definitely lose away to them as well since they're just flat out a better side and our confidence was shot in that game after going behind. It doesnt say anything about our home form since there has been plenty of reasons for the results (which have been fine anyway, 4 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss in all competitions given who those dropped points were to is fine). Performances have been good too. It's just too small of a sample size to read into.

Shaw may be banned if a yellow card, so better to save him for Arsenal.

This doesn't have to anything with stats but with how we play especially with so many injuries. Teams would be sitting so deep at OT and that worries me if we could break them down.

I think people are just looking at the home form as a whole for the season and not since Ole took over. Under Ole it is probably just about good enough given the games. All the best teams have at least 1-2 home games a season where they draw or lose a banker. City got done by Palace, Liverpool drew with Leicester etc. We drew with Burnley, then anything can happen when a big team comes to your ground.

However, the overall home form is poor and it's still the same set of players.

Played 13: 7 Wins, 5 Draws, 1 Loss in the Premier League
Played 1: 1 Draw in the League Cup (To Derby and lost on Penalties)
Played 1: 1 Win in the FA Cup (Against Reading, only Home Tie)
    Played 4: 1 Win, 1 Draw, 2 Losses in the Champion's League

    Overall

    Played 19: W9 D7 L3

Could Rojo come in at left back or not. He's just back from injury isn't he?

You don't rest a full back when you have so many injuries just in case they get a booking!

Rashford in for Dalot, the rest picks itself, could be an arguement for dropping Fred but this is a chance to give him another much needed run out, with our fixture list and injuries he needs to step up.

But are you happy to reduce our chances of beating PSG away? Big ask to throw those 3 together and expect to overcome a 2 goal deficit away
I understand your logic, but I don't think you quite realise just how good PSG are.
We are nowhere near them. In the first leg, when PSG increased the pace, we couldn't live with them. In the space of a few minutes, they ended us.
I'd rather we focus on winning every game in the league, than trying to to beat a team, away at their ground, who are vastly superior to us in virtually all areas on the pitch and who already leads us 2-0.

I think Sanchez only plays on the left. Not sure why he isn't ever moved to the middle or to the right, but no matter who the manager is, he is always played on the left.

Don't get what does that have to do with this match. They're dogshite and we're in great form. We should defeat them easily tomorrow.

We also didn't win at the bridge for 6 years before the last cup tie. What matters is the current form.

You do if the next game is a must win at all costs game against Arsenal, whereas now it is a home game against Southampton.

Dalot had a better game than Sanchez against Palace and I loved the fact he gave us true width from the right. I would play

    De Gea
    Young Smalling Lindelof Shaw
    Pogba McTominay Fred
    Dalot Lukaku Rashford

This is what I think we'll see. I'd prefer to see us rest Shaw and move Young to LB and play Dalot at RB.

Stop being Liverpool, Spurs type of small minded team. We do our best and we go for it. If we lose, then be it. The players will want to show and this PSG is not the end of the world, 2 mistakes don't make them gods or whatever all of sudden, let United be United and go for it, even away.

Martial and Lingard not even fit enough to make the squad. Mata, Matic, Herrera, Valencia and Phil Jones also recovering. That's 7 missing. :(
