Think Smalling and Young might get rested for PSG. Expect Martial to feature late on for 20 minutes or so.

    Gone with:

    DDG
    Dalot Bailly Lindelof Shaw
    Pereira McTominay Pogba
    Rashford Lukaku Sanchez
I don't think Fred will feature here.
I’ve gone with the same team in my prediction. If it is that line up I’d rather Rashford back through the middle and Lukaku on the right, despite his brace in midweek.

Ole said he will probably start..
I know Rashford will most likely start this game.

I was talking bout the released squad list which excludes Martial now and in the previous game it excluded Rashford which led to me dropping him from my line-up, the feckers :nono:

I think Sanchez only plays on the left. Not sure why he isn't ever moved to the middle or to the right, but no matter who the manager is, he is always played on the left.
I would think the management has realised his legs have gone and offers nothing out wide and he has played through the middle for Arsenal (had his best season there, unless mistaken). With the injuries we have right now, its the best time to try him in that position other than that he's done sadly.

Why Fred? He was abysmal in the last game
So that’s it? We are giving up? He needs minutes and especially since he’s certain for PSG it will be good for him to get some here since he has like 90 minutes in 2019.

The first half was absolutely shocking but second half much better. Must be tough for him coming from lower profile team where you are one of the stars and then play alongside Pogba and co. Excpectation are so much higher. Hope he adjusts but not convinced.

Friend of mine is going on a bus trip today and wants to stream the game on his iPhone. If I was to report up to the authorities, could someone pm me the most likely way he’d be streaming it please

We need total concentration today to get the win. Every game is important no matter the opponent.

I agree that he has not performed as expected but to suggest that 'his legs have gone' at just 30 is not right.

He hasn't performed because his confidence is low and nothing to do with his legs.

I understand your point but if you compare this sanchez to the one at Arsenal, he's not got that zip he had before. He was always been clumsy type of a player but he's missing that something extra IMO.

I agree. The weird thing is that I can’t once remember him pushing past a defender and attacking the space(TM) in a United shirt. He might use a clever turn or footwork to hold on to the ball and wriggle past a defender (and then play a simple backwards or horizontal pass or annoying chipped forward pass) but he literally never gets up to any sort of pace with the ball at his feet nor uses any sort of pace to get in behind a fullback without the ball.

He’s basically a stronger, less technical Mata.

I dislike the cafe's obsession with legs gone and declines but it's not a confidence thing with him.

He simply can't get away from anyone anymore.

Martial and Lingard not even fit enough to make the squad. Mata, Matic, Herrera, Valencia and Phil Jones also recovering. That's 7 missing. :(
We'll do incredibly well to get more than two of those back for the arsenal game.

Martial and jones for the bench id imagine

We need him to be better and the only way we can actually see what he's like is by playing him. No better time than when we don't have much choice.

Sanchez has been 'out of form' for a good two years now. Taking his age into consideration, at what point do we acknowledge the idea that he is simply past his best?

No Romero In the squad today. Could it mean Grant is getting a rare start?

He clearly can’t run as fast as he used to. That extra yard or 2 of pace is so important at the top level, and especially to the way Sanchez plays. he just isn’t as good as he used to be like what happened with Rooney.

Imperative we win this now that Arsenal is winning. Must win game. It would be great if we can score a few goals to up our goal difference as well. Goal difference could be the definining factor for our top 4 race.

Feck the PSG game. Rest everyone for it and play the kids - we’re not scoring 2 goals and keeping a clean sheet there.

    League is far more important.
Great mentality. There are teams who have come back from 0-2 and even 0-3 down. Even Barca came back from 0-4 down to win 6-1. Of course we are not at the level of Barca but anything can happen in football. If we score an early goal, PSG would get nervous and if we do get a second goal, we will tie the aggregate.
