Sancho for Garnacho. Martinez looks in trouble with his yellow hanging over him. They need to be a lot more composed. Hopefully Wolves has wasted all their energy and we get back at them in the second half.

Bruno, AWB and Antony probably the only ones that deserves a half-time break.

Wasn't expecting us to be that bad. Wolves have run a lot. Would like to see the stats. We can only improve. Garnacho has been awful. Rashford has to try and get involved more.

At this point, we should bring on Sancho as a false 9 and shift Rashford to the left. Couldn't be worse than it currently is.
Read everybody's mind. Garnacho has had a stinker for whatever reason. We need Rash on the ball as many times as possible.

What a crock of shit. Luckily still in it. Good job we hadnt have had to play a Newcastle or Arsenal today.

Same issues as last year. Playing without midfielder who controls tempo and without striker. Not looking good. We will win though.

Bad 30 then started to find some flow, people overreacting as is tradition.

Garnacho had a mare, but that is the nature of direct wingers, could win the match in the second half.

    Terrible half
Terrible is an exaggeration. We've looked sluggish, which isn't unexpected for the first game back. The system with two #10s and a stranded Casemiro deep in midfield on his own, isn't working - Bruno or Mount need to be shifted wide in place of Garnacho - bring on Eriksen to see if someone can exert a bit of control on the game.

I want to like Antony, he just makes it so hard. Why can't he pass? Maybe if 30% of his effort was spent on passing instead of dicking about he'd be better.

Can't believe how slow and tired every single player looked for the first 35-40 minutes. There was one passage of play with Garnacho running clear down the left and two Wolves defenders caught up with him like it was Mata running away from them.

Garnacho generally might have had the worst half of football we'll see from anybody all season.

Starting to look a little bit less shit in he last few minutes... hopefully that continues.

Poor first half. No cohesion. Misplaced passes, nervous feel to the lads. Going forward we don't appear to have ideas. Hoping for a much better second half.

Unfortunately quite a familiar first half that. Bruno wasteful, Garnacho not really working too great as a starter, Rashford simply not in the game as a center forward. Mount’s worked hard, as has AWB.
    Spot on for me.
A cheeky move for the last 30 mins would be to move Rashford left, and sub on Pellistri for Antony and Sancho for Garnacho and try Eriksen with Mount.

Mount had 2 decent situations at the end and people are praising him like he actually had a decent half. He was asleep for 44 minutes ffs

55m for this and Hannibal would not be any worse.

When we signed Mount I mentioned my concern that we would ultimately pigeonhole him in an unnatural position (deeper in midfield or out on the wing) in order to accommodate him and Bruno in the same team. Unfortunately it very much feels like that's what's going to happen.
Yup. Still don't understand the question to which Mount is the answer. We needed an imposing, energetic, all rounder to pair with Casemiro. Yet we've sat back and watch the likes of Chelsea buy several of those while settling for Mount. Weird.

    HELLO
I don't see how we can play that midfield outside of maybe 4-5 home games against lower opposition.

As good as Casemiro can be at reading the game, he's 31 and a walking yellow. It looks good on paper...

Just absurd, our "fans" have an agenda on him and it's weird to see.

Would bring on Sancho to play upfront at this point, unless Martial can suddenly play football again. Rashford just can't play with defenders on his back.

Hope the balance in midfield sorts itself out over the season

Name a side more sloppy on the ball than United. This club hates players with technical ability.

Ultimately it will just be used as a stick to beat Ten Hag with.

Career worst half from Garnacho, Rashford also poor, Bruno and Mount didn’t do much. We need changes at half time. We didn’t improve anything from last season performance-wise

Feel bad for Garnacho, it's clear he wants to do so much, his inexperience shines through. He'll have much better games off the bench, still needs time to mature.

Christ Garnacho!!! He looked as if he won a lottery to play for us.
    He remains an impact player.
    Mount looks weak
    Casemiro still looked on holiday
    Rashford still very erratic
Antony just ineffective, does not command fear in opposition.

It's no exaggeration to say that was the worst passing display from a team in the PL for a long long time. I cannot fathom why our players w/o being under any pressure, fail to pass competently. It really is unforgivable at this level. Que howls of derision from some...First game of the season, players rusty etc etc. There is no excuse for this level of incompetence!

Trying to scour my mind for positives.

I have liked AWB today. Still a bit to be desired going forward but defensively he’s excellent.

I honestly can’t think of much else. Certainly nothing from an attacking perspective.

Mount is too high up; if he wants to stay there Bruno must come deeper as the defence and Casemiro have nowhere to go with the ball, nor do Shaw and AWB.

I think Garnacho has to come off and Rashford has to go left. Would have to be Sancho you’d think as a false 9 which would bring its own problems. But Wolves sitting deep and pace isn’t what’s needed, Sancho might offer more than Garnacho.
