They are fecking shite, pub team etc. We are just as bad however, right now
Can you explain to me how they are a pub team? Do you watch lower league football or just the Premier league via Sky?
I only ask, because opinions like yours normally come from fans that don't watch football live and are only interested in Prem football or other top leagues exclusively.

First 11 should be selected, they obviously need more time together. At the moment I dont see any point in putting out a second 11.

I'd go full strength and try and get the first team flowing.

The reserves have proved shite anyway.

Have to disagree on that one, mate. He's not kicked a ball in the first team since the Charity Shield. I'd play him in preparation for Leicester.
Bring him on for 30 mins then. I don't see him starting two full games in 4 days and at the same time I cannot see us beating Leicester without a better midfield.

pub team = not literal, but, pub team = lower league cloggers who can't touch us on skill but can wrap 6 inch studs around our ankles

Fosu-Mensah must start for definite. Ideally in defense midfield or centre back.

Yeah was thinking the same. If he doesn't play in this one when will he ever get a game. He's not playing in the reserves so there must be a plan to give him a game at some point. If so I really hope he takes his chance. The midfield needs some speed and snap.

He's still in Amsterdam, he has been for quite often already this season. Im not sure why he isnt in the travelling squad or playing with the reserves so often, he's literally had almost no game time.

I hope Fosu-Mensah gets a start in midfield. Gut feeling suggests Young might start in this game.

I hope we Drop Rooney and try different things but it's difficult. I don't think Mourinho ever wanted to play 4-3-3 he seems to have been forced into it. Only issue is that we don't have pacey wingers that can cross the ball to Ibrahimovic.

Schweinsteiger getting ostracised has back fired. Mourinho looking foolish with regards to that one. His ego too big to bring him back into the fold now sadly.

You look at Mata, Lingard, Martial, Rashford (when he plays out wide), mkhitaryan even Memphis almost always cuts inside. They're all inverted false wingers/no.10's. Only crossing wingers are Young-Valencia.

Every game is a pressure game now. I have no clue how this one will go. Nervous AF. We need to find a system and XI fast.

Hope for a 1-0 win. But this game stinks of MK Dons II :houllier:

Assume that Martial will join Mkhitaryan and Jones on the injury list, even if only precautionary. Practically every first-team player has had enough of a look in now to have some sort of sharpness in their game, right? It hasn't looked like it for the last week, but what can we do?

Valencia and Shaw are still first choice and have been at least average or above, so, I'd say they get 'rested' with Darmian and probably Rojo playing. Bailly might get dropped for a game since Blind has just missed two in a row. I'd like to see a midfield of Carrick, Herrera, and Pogba, but I'm not sure if we'll get there here. Schneiderlin needs to show a lot more, maybe he'll be asked to play this match to get more fit and actually try and do something. I think Zlatan and Rashford have to play and if we have those two on the pitch we can probably afford to play Memphis to see if he can get some confidence.

    De Gea
    Darmian Smalling Blind Rojo
    Schneiderlin
    Herrera Pogba
    Rashford Ibrahimovic Memphis
    ---
Romero; Bailly, Fosu-Mensah; Carrick, Young, Mata; Rooney

Rooney will probably play, however. Though, I suppose we'd all prefer him to play here and miss the game after.

Thinking about how we could shake things up is actually really depressing. We've got this very expensive, very big squad but I can't ever remember us having such a lack of fringe players I'd be interested to watch in a game like this. Basically TFM and that's it. Maybe Depay? But I've pretty much lost all hope in him. Strange state of affairs altogether.

I like this line-up, its about time Jose showed his ruthless side, the current players have shown they can not do it, we need to start sah, king the apple tree and letting them know that just because you are in the squad you are a top level player.

The passing and play has been nothing short of atrocious. We cant string together simple moves that other team pull of in their sleep and we will be left behind. Lets get some playmakers and passers back in the team and solidify that midfield.

For me Herrera is a no-brainer, stick him in with Carrick and tell them both "you are the anchors" I dont want to see you by the box, I want you two to control that midfield, Carrick sitting and Herrera doing the leg work. In front of you is Mata who will be up the field at all times waiting for the quick transition.

The wings, stay wide unless on a break then use the extra man and QUICKLY.

I dont want to see ball played into the box from deep, I want the wingers to tuck in when overloading and the full backs to come up on the outside.

I mean this is simple shit. Back line needs to have Blind in it.

Going for a whole sale change.....

    01. Romero
    02. Fosu-Mensah
    03. Darmian
    04. Smalling
    05. Blind
    06. Schneiderlin
    07. Herrera
    08. Young
    09. Rashford
    10. Lingard
    11. Depay

Flat back four, Schneiderlin covering with Herrera more advantaged with Young and Lingard as wingers. With Depay and Rashford up front and obviously the two fullbacks supporting the wingers when possible

Most sensible lineup I've seen yet. Replace Schneiderlin with Carrick or Blind if Bailly gets a start. Would be a good game to try Blind at DM. My only concern is Rojo and Memphis. Two liabilities on same side.

I'd go with this, except I'd have Carrick in for Schneiderlin, and a lampost instead of Rojo.

I was thinking Carrick on the last 20 minutes and the start vs Leicester. Him or Blind should be given a chance at the dm role.

I've put money on United. Wouldn't do it vs Leicester though, too risky now.

Hopefully Rooney plays the whole 90 minutes, so that he can get some rest for the Leicester game. For his own good of course, so he can be fresh for Luhansk. Very important game that. So we'll obviously need our captain to get us back on track in Europe.

    *fingers crossed*
