The last couple of seasons i never really fancied us away at Spurs but with this being at Wembley i do, it's essentially a neutral venue. We're not getting beat tonight.

Romelu Lukaku has like 4 league goals in his last 15-16 games, which is far from being good enough. Time to really step up his efforts and deliver until the end of the season. Hope he gets one tonight!

Nah, I would start him everytime regardless. Get him back up to speed when he was awesome last season.
    Same here.
He [Rojo] is rash - I don't think he will ever change that. But what I love is the passion. When he is on the pitch, you know that he will give everything for the cause...even when his head is dripping with blood.

A neutral venue that we have much more experience playing in. Not sure that it's entirely neutral - plus we have wany more fans attending.
We've probably won as many games at the new Wembley as Spurs have

Think Martial will be dropped for this one. Lingard, Sanchez and Lukaku front three with Herrera in midfield.

Yeah it's not neutral venue at all. Stadium will be full of Spurs fans and also stadium they have played all season.

Kind of things I hate reading. Lukaku has been scoring consistenly now. And has got us more points than anyone.

Many more fans might be stretching it - it’s filled with tourists getting cheap tickets in London. With this wicked stadium, you only fill it against the famous teams. West Ham (50k), Brighton (47k), Dons (47k), Soton (55k) - pretty low numbers lately. Everton was 76k, but that was on a Saturday. If the stadium fills up tonight, I assume there will be a lot of neutrals and London-tourists, and average person usually come to see United in that case. Wembley will always be more neutral than any other stadium in the league, not that it matters that much - Spurs play here every week (except for cup finals of course).

I really think you are clutching at straws here.

Why? He obviously hasn’t scored consistently in the league, you can’t deny it. Who cares about a goal against Yeovil when we’re cruising.

Looking at his last 15 games, after the wild start, there’s a loooot of blanks. In his last 15 games, he has not scored in 11 of them... and the goals were against Newcastle, Bournemouth, WBA and Stoke.

I couldn’t care less mate, I just hope the stadium is full. Would be sad to see empty seats like you have obviously had after Christmas during weekdays. There won’t be any partizan atmosphere regardless, which is always an annoying factor at certain away grounds.

West Brom, Bournemouth, Stoke, assist vs Burnley. All got us points. :)

It’s not just about his goals. He linked well vs Arsenal and got the assist vs Spurs at home.

I just don't trust our team and tactics quite yet in this type of games, especially away from home. Tottenham are a side that likes to press and our backline often cracks under pressure when being pressed and resorts to hoofing the ball back to the opponent's feet. Tottenham are also a side which finds an in-game rhythm and imposes its game plan through sheer aggression and dynamism. Out of the top-six, we are the team with the worst percentage in challenges/duels won so one can argue that our style suits Spurs better than the other way around.

On the other hand, it is a great opportunity for us to secure a top-four finish. Spurs' aforementioned qualities demand a lot of energy and extensive rotation which Pochettino can't afford ATM. He's got very tough fixtures coming up and this time he simply can't throw the midweek European games into the bin and focus solely on the league. If we get three points tonight, there'll be a lot of catching up for Tottenham to do.

The discussion about the venue, i don't get. It's all about us imposing our tempo against a good side. Back in the day (Ferguson era), i would gladly play both league fixtures at WHL. That's how intimidating their home ground was.

Ah Wembley, who loves scoring there? Messe to score then. Alexis to assist. Then they dance. Spurs fans boo Sanchez, he reply with a belter. There. Easy.

That's unlikely, but even if it's true, it'll be "we" as in the club, but not the current players.
We've won 11 times at the new Wembley, Spurs have won there 12 times this season so I wasn't far off (plus add the other 2 or 3 time Spurs have played there in past seasons)

As for splitting we as a club and the current players that opens up to whether those players have experience of playing there for their countries or other clubs. Wembley isn't and will never be a home venue for Spurs

Why does it even matter? Seems to be a pretty pointless debate.

Considering the Wembley factor, Messe Lingard is undroppable.

Our front players should really be able to create enough against Spurs but going by previous preformances away against decent opposition, I'm not convinced they will.

Can we see Martial-Lingard-Sanchez behind Lukaku?
Plus Pogba as well, I sure hope so, as it would be mouth wateringly good!!!

So Arsenal away wasn't a decent performance??

Plus we didn't have Sanchez for those previous games, so not sure why you are linking previous games with this upcoming one.

Arsenal was good but other than that we haven't been good enough away from home against the other good teams. Lets home we can kill on the counter tonight :)

Its a damn strong team. Reminds me of how excited I was and how formidable we looked with RvP lining up in the squad. That was the best team since Ronaldo left, and now we have the best team since RvP and SAF's last year

No real weaknesses in it. Only positions I could see being marginally upgraded would be Smalling or Lingard, but I think both have been playing well enough to keep their positions. If Lingard can keep his consistency and Smalling can learn to score on his headers we'd be golden
Agreed once again. The result tonight doesn't change much in terms of our overall trajectory (it's only one game afterall), but a win would send out a message.

Wembley or not I was apprehensive about this game until we signed Sanchez, now I think we will beat them .

Honestly, a 4-2-3-1 with Lingard as #10, not seeing it happening. It would be very untypical of Mourinho to go toe to toe away against a top team.

You say that, and it might very well be true, however we did not have Sanchez available for those games, and we do tonight, so I don't see the relevance of those games now.

I'm more and more convinced you're a bot replying anytime anyone mentions Lingard (or even doesn't mention him at all)! Your phrasing seems like the current state of artificial intelligence now, too.
