We should try Blind sitting infront of the back 4 and let Pogba loose.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Rooney in midfield, none of our midfielders have been able to run a game yet.

Any news on Mhlitaryan and whether he will be fit to play? Despite having a poor game against City I believe he can be one of our flair players this season. I would love him to be used as a number 10 in this game because I think he can give us that extra bit of creativity.

Why didn't Blind travel if he's not going to play in this match? Pretty certain we'll have Smalling and Bailly at CB due to Watford having two big, strong frontmen.

    What I'd like to see:

    DDG

    Valencia Bailly Smalling Shaw

    Herrera Blind Pogba

    Rashford Ibrahimovic Martial

Will probably see Rooney involved though. Fingers crossed it's on the left instead of Martial instead of at #10 where he's completely fecking useless.

Why is everyone dropping Blind all of a sudden? The back 5 should stay as they are as we've been solid with that lineup. Jose would be mad to change it. We also still have the Mata, Rooney, Fellaini conundrum. :(

I am a bit pessimistic about this game, too. Watford are not so shite anymore.

I think that we'll loose this one 2-0. Deeney and Ighalo will destroy us as Capoue and co will shine

12:00 kick off a Sunday, when the players went back to Manchester on Friday morning, only resting for half of the team, training on Saturday morning and then travelling the Saturday afternoon.

Difficult to prepare a tough away games like this. Hope that Mou will let this EL slip asap, as we don't have enough quality to compete here.

    Have some faith you doomsayers!

With the correct refereeing decision, we'd still be sitting here unbeaten this season!

    De Gea

    Valencia
    Bailly
    Blind
    Shaw

    Fellaini
    Pogba

    Rashford
    Rooney
    Martial

    Zlatan

    1-3

I reckon we'll see that but Rooney for Herrera or even Pogba.

How are Watford playing at the moment, 3-5-2? Capoue has been in great form, it's important we don't give him any space. Pereyra has been a great signing too.

Keeping Deeney and Ighalo quiet is always the main aim against them. I really hope we don't sit off and give them all the posession. We need to get hold of the ball and quiten the crowd.

They may just beat us 2-0, but Jesus, have a word with yourself.

Pretty much a must win already. Can only see a draw at best the way we have played so far this season.

Must be great to have this much confidence in your team !!!
If pro players cant play 2 matches in 4 days, then they are not fit enough.
Totally disagree about the EL we have more than enough quality to go thought, it is ONE defeat FFS.

Agreed! I've been kind of apathetic since the game, but it was the toughest game for us in the group stage. They fought hard in the 1. half, and Rashford was manhandled by some random dick of a CB. We should stroll past Feyenoord at home.

Come on United, fecking win this with a 0-4 or a 0-5 and get some confidence back. It is painful to see United struggle since Fergie retired. We need to go on a winning run. This game should be done and dusted if United play to their talents. But don't know why it feels like a drab 0-1 result for United or a draw, cna't see United losing but you never know.

think I'd like to see Carrick or Blind in the DM role - Rooney will be at 10 but given his tendency to drop deep our formation could be something like this....

Hope Pogba has a good game

    ----------------------------------------DDG-----------------------------------
    Valencia------------Smalling-------------------Bailly------------------Shaw
    ---------------------------------Blind/Carrick---------------------------------
    -----------------------Rooney------------------Pogba------------------------
    Mhiki-----------------------------------------------------------------Rashford

That's why he should start Smalling and Bailly for this. They'd bully Ighalo and Deeney. Revert back to the 4-2-3-1; it's worked well against the poorer sides.

With Zlatan at the center, United needed good crosser of the ball so that he, Felliani and Pogba can use them with success. United should be playing the following line-up:
    ............................................De Gea....................................................

    ...............................Baily......................Smalling..................................

    .......................................Schneiderlin..................................................

    Valencia (crosser)....................................................................Blind (crosser)

    ..................Herrera................Pogba...............Felliani............................

    ............................Ibrahimovic..........Rashford........................................

Need a good performance and result. Can't fall into the trap of doubting ourselves and thinking we are not good enough. Need a couple of flawless performances. Let's start with Watford away.

    De Gea
    Valencia Bailly Blind Shaw
    Carrick
    Lingard Rooney Pogba Martial
    Ibrahimovic
An 0-2 or 1-3 would be nice.

I hope this is what we will see. Rooney is nailed on to start though.

I'll go with a 1-1 on this one. Had this game been before the City and Feyenoord matches, I would definitely have had us as winners.

I think he'll go back to the same team against Southampton/Hull. He might be feeling that it was his major changes that caused the disruption to our recent performances and results. So I wouldn't expect any major changes to our early lineups.

Only question is if he starts Smalling against their physical strikers or sticks with Blind.

Jose losing 3 of his first 6 competitive games in charge? I'm one of his biggest critics but even I know it's a stretch to beleive he'll lose 3 on the bounce.

Our squad has more than enough quality to beat Watford. Sometimes I really doubt some of you are real United fans.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Rooney in midfield, none of our midfielders have been able to run a game yet.
Jose has already categorically stated that Rooney will never play in midfield.
Jose himself, acknowledged that Rooney is not good enough to play in midfield.
He'll play as No.10 and given how badly we played yesterday, I have to say that we need to have him in our.
I know many will disagree, but yesterday was arguably our worst performance of the season and it coincided with Ibra and Rooney both being left out.

The midfield also, was pretty weak yesterday, so if Fellaini is fit, he will 100% be in the starting line up. Herrera worked hard, Pogba will play (due to his transfer cost), so Morgan will probably be benched.

    De Gea
    Darmian - Bailly - Blind - Shaw
    Pogba - Fellaini
    Lingard - Rooney - Rashford
    Zlatan

Thought Darmian had a few good moments yesterday. I'd give him a shot this week cause I think Valencia picked up a knock. Rashford for Martial. Think Lingard will have a good game against these.
