Can't wait for another game to watch Wilson add nothing to our game.

Remind me why did we sell Welbeck again?
Wilson has done nothing wrong. It's the players behind him doing nothing of use.

I've just said it in another thread, but please get Di Maria on for McNair and switch to 4-4-2.

But we play the worst football in the league and half are players belong at this level....
fecking drama queens. Bad half but big teams tend to not completely dominate smaller teams when playing away in the fa cup for whatever reason. It just happens. We need a goal and then we'll be fine.

We are NOT playing 5 at the back. Seriously what are you watching????. Fletcher is sitting in front of the back 3 and SHaw and Rafaelm are sitting high. They have got back to assist the defence no more than the wide midfielders do in a 442. Its really quite clear.
I don't think we're going to agree so let's agree to disagree instead.

Someone has to be totally braindead to not see that we need to stop that crap with 3 CBs at the back and a defensive minded midfielder in front. Has Louis not seen that we have our fullbacks back and that his crap formation is shitting in his face?

And I thought people were calling Mourinho as the most negative, boring and coward of all managers. Then I ask those same people WTF is this; Mourinho's approach looks like paradise compared to what LVG is giving us here.

edit: coincidence or not, the guys on Fox Soccer mentioned the Mourinho bit.

Fecking hell, physically similar players are in the PL, if he is so easy to denutralize, he isnt worth keeping. Even Wilson is making more out of it, and he's skinny. Falcao is way too clumsy and unbalanced so far, could be due to his injury, but its starting to be a problem if he cant win any battles. Just compare him with lets say Cista, Giroud, Pelle in that aspect.
against 1.90m plus defenders, that is not so surprising ?

We're taking too long to supply the midfield and forwards, so our defence just pass it around until they get pressured to kick it out. That allows Yeovil to keep employing their one tactic of lumping it upfront. Rinse and repeat.

Gotta stop playing into their hands. Get the ball over the half way line quicker and start stretching their defence. In rare opportunities we've found space with Rafael and Shaw to exploit. Wilson and Falcao are looking lively if we would only give them something more to work with. Rooney's also too deep most of the time. Fletcher and Herrera need to sharpen up their use of possession and fast.

Poor game all around so far. Don't really like the 5-3-2 in games like this against (supposedly) much weaker sides. 3 central defenders who aren't particularly good on the ball and Fletcher in midfield - not a lot of on-the-ball quality there.

Also  @ BT Sport for that McNair incident. Owen arguing it should be a sending off because he was the last man (mentioned the same "rule" at the end - it honestly wouldn't be surprise if he believes it exists) and the other commentator talking about a goal-scoring opportunity. It was obviously a hand ball, but never more than a booking at most.

Fletcher really looks done at a club of our level. It's a shame. I think I'd rather see Anderson on...maybe.
I'm not sure why he keeps getting opportunities after putting one ghastly performance after another.

Good thinking, what about Angél? Is he available today?
Yes, apparently LvG said he expects to give Di Maria at least 30 minutes gametime today.

In a way, I hope he doesn't come on because this is a game where you just know he's gonna get injured again.

You don't expect beautiful football on a day like this, but you do expect the players to demonstrate mastery of basic skills.

Cos Welbeck wouldn't settle for being 4th choice and playing once a month where as a Wilson is a young talent. Is it that hard to understand it?

Every one of our players shits themselves when pressured. Even since Fergie's last years.

Second best in all departments at the moment. Even to the second ball.

Our strikers have been good when on the ball but that was hardly never because they get absolutely no service!

Where is the midfield? Rooney, Herrera & Fletcher have been non existent! That just adds to our defenders being so awful! I've never seen defenders be so nervous at the top level!

Need to take off McNair or Blackett and get Mata on.

Also how many times are we going to persist with this 352 rubbish

That's exactly the reason we are being dominated in midfield.
The Herrera - Rooney - Fletcher midfield isn't and was never going to dominate a midfield considering we have an already retired Fletcher and a striker playing in midfield in Rooney. The fullbacks being pushed up so far forward only adds to the problem since they aren't playing as a traditional wingback and hugging the touchline and are compeltely isolated from the game.

If they had better attackers they would have troubled us a lot more.

The biggest mistake United has been repeatedly making is playing Darren Flectcher.
He is no more the player of the old. He has no ball control skill and is very lazy these days as he
is not moving into space for the return ball from his defender. If he still plays in the 2nd half, United may be KO. Luke Shaw is unfit, has no speed or skill to beat the defender? Wonder why he is worth so much money?? United has to bring on Di Maria, move McNair to midfield in the holding roll.

Actually I do expect it. We should be putting on a Globetrotter-like display here.

Yeovil are playing with a low defensive line and going long, one man up front. Is it really necessary for us to play 3 at the back and a low line? Time and time again our attackers have to drop into midfield to meet passes. Why not just stick another midfielder in there and try to play through the middle. We have tricky players who can one-two their way through. I dont get the tactics.
Spot on, through balls through the middle will lead to goals. This is not the game for wingers crossing it in. No intelligence whatsoever...

Agree with this but the numerous idiots on here tell you he's poor.
Ander hasn't been great, but he is trying to cope with Fletcher being Fletcher and Rooney overhitting passes left right and centre. He has been good when they are doing neat quick passes round the box. I just hope if Mata comes on it is for Fletcher.
