Yeovil Town charging £40 per ticket  - I know it's United and a special occasion for them but the normal price is £23, seems a bit harsh on their home fans.
It used to be £15 seven years ago to go watch them.

Assuming we don't have any more of the injured lads back

    Lindegaard

    Rafael
    Smalling
    Evans
    Shaw

    Fletcher

    Rooney
    Herrera

    Januzaj

    Falcao
    Wilson

A couple of youngsters such as Blackett and Perrera on the bench with van Persie and Mata also there for emergencies.

We need to have a go for the FA Cup this season. Normally I'd chuck a couple more youngsters in from the start, but in this instance I'd rather try and get the game won first.
This XI is very close. As much as I rate Pereira I think he will not start as Januzaj desperately needs minutes and he may play as 10. I am sure about Falcao-Wilson up front, rooney as a captain and someone who needs to play every game to stay in form will be there also. Fletcher for Carrick as Van Gaal believes he can do similar job. Herrera definitely there . needs to get fitness.. defense needs to be solid so I don't believe neither Blackett or McNair will play, we can be surprised and maybe see Rojo instead of Evans.. As you said we definitely need to do our most to win the only winnable trophy his year so I don't think it will be all youngsters either. But we need to rotate very tired squad and players like RVP, Carrick and Mata will definitely be rested so it means that we can actually see some good football. Hopefully Fletcher will not have another howler..

Would be happy to see that if the rules changed. It's got quality to win the match but giving minutes to those who need it and that extra man which can prove vital.

we will fill in a relative strong team, but should still accommodate some aims. i would give either one of rooney and rvp a rest and would really want to give pereira a shot to see how things can pan out. to balance i would start flecther in midfield also. that's my pick:

ddg, rafael, jones, smalling, shaw, carrick, herrera, fletcher, pereira, falcao, rooney.

subs to come in: januzaj, wilson, evans

Ahh the famous 533 formation!! If only we hadn't had so many Injuries,We could have fielded 12 players at once. Damn those injuries!!

I would love to see Pereira in the team today. I've seen him once with the u21s and he was pretty decent even though he was a bit caught in defence at times. He needs to improve that part of his game to make it in the 1st team as a number 8. If he still wants th num 10 position though, it's going to be hella hard for him with the likes of Rooney and Mata in the team. Hopefully he plays today and shows us all what he can do.

Knowing us, we'll somehow make it difficult for ourselves with a lacklustre performance.

Although wouldn't be surprised if Rooney or Carrick start. I think we'll start going back to 4-4-2 now Shaw and Rafa are back.

I think we may see something like this. Players who need not just games, but need a good performance... Januzaj for example.
We do not want a repeat of the MK Dons fiasco

Would love to see both Januzaj and Andreas Pereira on show, mixed with a blend of experienced players to give them a good chance of success in this game.

Surprised no one has gone for Vermijl or Janko at RB, we can ill afford to lose Rafael through injury and they'll aim to kick us off the park no doubt.

This has to be a game where we play four at the back as there shouldn't be as much emphasis on having a strong defense (compared to Premier league level). I'd probably stick Wilson up front as a lone striker and play Januzaj, Periera and Rooney behind.

    My team:
    GK: Lindegaard
RB: Rafael CB: Smalling CB: McNair LB: Shaw
    DM: Herrera DM: Fletcher
RAM: Januzaj CAM: Rooney LAM: Periera
    ST: Wilson

Have decent subs like Carrick, Falcao, Jones to give us the option to rotate some players or bring on some big names should we be performing terribly

Good shout actually, I would like to see how Janko does for the first team.

Rafael does need the minutes, though. Lack of match-rhythm at the minute.

Just had a dream Rafael pulled his hamstring making a run through the right. It was his right thigh.

Probably pointless trying to predict the side but i'll give it a shot.

    Anders/DDG not fussed either way.

    Rafael
    Smalling
    Blackett
    Shaw

    Herrera
    Fletcher
    Pereira

    Januzaj
    Falcao
    Wilson

Have a feeling we'll go with a three though and mcnair will play instead of pereira.
That is exactly what id want to. 433 all the way. But lets be realistic. Itll be 352 With Evans and probably Di Maria/Rooney in it.

We can't not play 'fit' players because there's a risk they'll get injured, or else we'll just forfeit all of our games this season.

For anyone that thinks we're just going to field kids and fringe players is going to be disappointed. We cannot take any chances, this is our only opportunity of a trophy this season.

Excellent post from a Yeovil season ticket holder in the Newbies:

Had a quick look, couldn't see any real previews so thought I'd provide a bit of info for you all. If you're looking for more reading, directions, pubs to visit, history, have a look at www.ciderspace.co.uk.

Man Utd were my 'playground' Premiership team in Primary School, but Yeovil are my main love, I have a season ticket and follow them home and away.

In our last game our line up was:
    -------------------Steer----------------
    Twumasi - Arthurworrey - Nugent - Smith
    ----------Foley - Edwards - Gillet--------
    Leitch-Smith --------------------- Eaves
    ------------------Hayter----------------

Note - All loan players have clearance to play

Jed Steer - Our fourth goalkeeper of the season, has finally provided a bit of stability in goal. Solid goalkeeper for League One, commands well, does his best to organise an error prone defence. Yet to provide a truly outstanding game. On loan from Norwich

Seth Twumasi - Often referred to by his middle name of Nana. Joined the club at the start of 13/14 season, has struggled to start his career following knee injuries. This season could become his "breakthrough" season, often looks clumsy, but often gets a foot in. Can also play left back and was part of an odd experiment on the right wing for a few games.

Steven Arthurworrey - Tall center back. Deceptively quick at times, but has a worrying tendency to let the ball bounce, rather than putting his head on it. Underhits back passes more than a professional footballer should. On loan from Fulham.

Ben Nugent - Big, solid centre back who is improving as time goes on. Often just pumps the ball long rather than passing to the midfield. Can be caught out for lack of pace. On loan from Cardiff.

Nathan Smith - Left back in his second spell with the club. Having a very poor season, often doesn't appear to be interested in the game happening around him. Always looks slower than he should be and tends to lose position. Someone will have great fun against him!

Joe Edwards - Captain and fan favourite. Battling midfielder. He will sit the deepest of the midfield, will buzz trying to stop anyone reaching the defense. His passing is average, hasn't advanced since joining the club. Always covers out of position defenders well.

Sam Foley - Another fan favourite. In his third season with the club, joined from Newport while they were still non-league. Can play anywhere in midfield, was regular left winger in our promotion to the Championship, despite being right footed. Is playing the quarterback role this year, picks the ball up from defence and brings it forward. If he plays out wide, crosses well with either foot. Leaves it all on the pitch.

Simon Gillet - Possibly our best player this season. Small midfielder with a strong all round game. Could possibly get games at a higher level. Is the most advanced of the midfield three, which is an unusual role for him. Has a good shot on him, most likely to take free kicks.

AJ Leitch-Smith - Signed on a free from Crewe as a striker. Only scored once since joining the club and is now often pushed out wide, but doesn't have the pace or technique to be there. Even if he is through on goal, I refuse to get excited, and he has yet to prove me wrong. Hasn't caused any League One defences trouble.

Tom Eaves - Target man striker. Holds the ball up well and is as strong as a dozen ox. So we are playing him on the left wing... Clearly out of position, attempts to get the ball down and run with it, occasionally can battle his way round a defender. Yet to score for the club, not sure he could finish his dinner. Often lashes his chances over. On loan from Bolton.

James Hayter - A wonderful player, who has had a wonderful career. Recently player played his 700th game. Scorer of the fastest hat-trick in English football. Sadly age is catching up with him and he has slowed down. Subtle movement often creates space. Is the player I most want a chance to fall too. Has recently been dropping deep in an attempt to get into the game.

Others you should be aware of.

James Berrett - Can play along the midfield. When on the pitch can drive the team forward well, but yet to establish himself in the first eleven.

Nathan Ralph - Winger or full back. Usually comes on when we are trying to inject pace into a game. Isn't outstandingly quick.

Jordan Clarke - Right back on loan from Coventry. Our defence is much stronger with him involved, very good footballer. Very calm and rarely beaten. Has three goals from corners this year, isn't the tallest, but has a good leap. Has been injured, we were targeting this game to have him fit.

Kieffer Moore - Joined our Championship side from Dorchester, way down the football ladder. Got a lot of stick originally as he looked well out of his depth. Grew into the side and even dominated a couple of Championship defences last season. Has been plagued with injury this season, but is our best striker. 6'4", with improving strength, good in the air and on the floor. Great movement and the hardest shot I have seen. Again, injured but targeting this game. Our top scorer with 4.

I wouldn't worry about this being a potential giant killing. We haven't scored in 506 minutes of home league football. We are a poor side who are likely to go down!

Good opportunity to rest some of the older players (I doubt RvP or Carrick will play), further progress the recoveries of players coming back from injury (Rafael, Shaw, Herrera, Di Maria), and blood in some youngsters, but hopefully MK Dons will be at the back of his mind when he picks the first XI.

This is on BT sport right?
Yes it is unfortunately, it's a shame as I'm really looking forward to this one as I have some close ties to the town. Hopefully BBC will have some sort of highlights programme on later.
