  1. City and Financial Doping | Charged by PL with numerous FFP breaches

How so? Of the original build cost, the council paid around £33 million (Sport England paid around £77 million). They will have already easily recovered that and going forward have zero financial liability for any costs incurred in the operation & upkeep of the stadium.
  2. City and Financial Doping | Charged by PL with numerous FFP breaches

Obtained naming rights to the stadium from the council. Good for City. All operating, maintenance & future capital costs are borne by the club. Good for the Council. Good deal all round really :)
  3. City and Financial Doping | Charged by PL with numerous FFP breaches

Apart from the approx £4million per year the City Council gets in rent.
  4. Do City leave you cold?

Just have to point out that in the 70's, City finished higher than United 6 times in that decade. Though of course, Utd were relegated in 1974 so I admit it would have been difficult for you finish above us in 1975 :-)
  5. Man City's inevitable Treble

Been a few times :) Yeah, I've heard of Franny Lee. Funnily enough, he was playing in the very first game my Dad took me to at Maine Road in 1974 :)
  6. Man City's inevitable Treble

You've lost me here I'm afraid :) It's going to be very difficult for us to get an attendance of over 53000 or so when the capacity of The Etihad is exactly that!
  7. Man City's inevitable Treble

I fairness to us, the capacity of The Etihad is 53,000 'or so', so it would be difficult to get an attendance of more than that :)
  8. Is Gareth Southgate a shiite England manager?

Have England ever beaten a genuinely decent side with Southgate as manager? I'm struggling to think of one.
  9. Kylian Mbappe wants to leave PSG for Real Madrid (Again) | Feels "betrayed", relationship with PSG "completely broken"

It most certainly doesn't. And I'm a City fan! Wouldn't want him anywhere near the club with the attitude he has.
  10. Darwin Núñez | Liverpool player | Sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shish

You said this about him in the Haaland Vs Nunez thread...
  11. What is the point of Manchester City?

Of course I can understand it. As you'd expect, I don't necessarily agree with it :-) You'll have to understand that when I started supporting City we had won 1 European trophy, 2 leagues, 4 FA Cups and 1 League Cup. At the time this was an honours list that wasn't exactly a million miles away...
  12. What is the point of Manchester City?

Was meant as a bit of light-hearted banter :) Not really a new City fan by the way. First game was in 1974 so I grew up with us being completely turd and, from the early 90's onwards in particular, being completely overshadowed by our local rivals
  13. What is the point of Manchester City?

Is the point of Manchester City to give you guys something to talk about? On the first page of the Football Forum there are 5 threads directly related to City, a club that are apparently an irrelevance to most Utd fans. ;-)
  14. Jack Grealish | Man City

To be fair, about the same impact that the two Silva's had in their respective first seasons with us. And they turned out to be OK :-)
