  1. Coventry City vs Manchester United

Martin Jol was sacked by Spurs in the middle of a game.
  2. PL Top 4 race

The Premier League earning that fifth spot is far from certain after last week, so really we need Villa to beat Ajax and, in particular, West Ham to knock out Freiberg.
  3. Alejandro Garnacho | 2023/24 Performances

No slight on Garnacho, but I gotta disagree on this. Kanchelskis had superior technique – in one of SAF's autobiographies, he even described him as one of the finest strikers of a ball he'd ever seen. I can still picture that perfect body shape when he struck a ball. As for pace, Kanchelskis's...
  4. Your top 5 favourite Manchester United players of all time

    Kanchelskis Beckham Carrick Cantona Nani
  5. Marc Cucurella - World Class Hairdo

Matic and Mata went well enough in their first year, though.
  6. Antony | 2023/24 Performances

He was an absolutely brutal watch today.
  7. Scott McTominay | Transfer discussion not performance discussion

Jaap Stam was still in his prime. It was dressed up as him having lost a yard, but SAF just made the wrong call on the back of Stam's autobiography.
  8. Tennis 2023

    Novak Kloppovic blaming the wind?
  9. De Bruyne Vs Kaka

Kaka had an elegance and gracefulness that few players in history have matched. Now and again I'll go back and watch a highlight reel of Kaka, but I've never once felt the same inclination towards De Bruyne.
  10. Ole - "I'm 100% sure Michael Carrick will be the manager of Manchester United"

I like how there's people in this thread who've already determined his ceiling as a manager despite there being no way yet to know what is.
  11. Are direct FKs a dying art? The Do you also miss Beckham thread.

I dunno, he scored them pretty often. At his peak, from 98/99 to 02/03, he scored 23 free kicks for us. 28 if you include England during that period. He was a level above Ward-Prowse, who I think is benefitting from a rather niche comparison of career PL free kicks.
  12. Premier League Gameweek 32-33

We were hugely lucky in that game. I'm not sure that the chances Newcastle have finished today weren't harder than they had against us.
  13. Boehly is going to ruin Chelsea (hopefully)

While Boehly's certainly the face of the new Chelsea, didn't The Athletic report that Eghbali calls the shots and Boehly's more his right-hand man? If so, Eghbali is doing a smooth job of staying out of the media's glare so far.
  14. Manchester United vs Real Betis

This is exactly right I think. Not sure others are thinking through the message it sends by changing one or two players from Sunday's line-up.
  15. Players like Harry Kane: Do you respect them for going down with the ship, or are they wasting their careers?

You'd really consider Kane much more talented than Le Tissier? On talent alone, I'd be struggling to think of many PL players that could match Le Tissier.
