Just to point out, for league appearances so far this season, Rafael is only behind Rojo and played more than the other senior defensive players.

Rafael only had a knock and was in training pics on friday, so can't imagine he will miss this game.

Just looking at the stats so far this season for our defenders in PL (senior ones only, so not including Blackett & McNair). Ten games in as of City game: Rafael played 6 Shaw 5 Rojo 7 which is every game he could play in Evans 3 Smalling 4 & 1 off the bench Jones 4

That last 25-30mins showed a great reaction from the team. I hope we can build on it, we need to really.

I would agree but with our center halves unable to stay fit or getting suspended, looks like he may be needed at CB for a bit. Definitely needs some time for sure though.

Blind wasn't in the game for me today. Fellaini was a lot more involved on and off the ball and I don't if Blind's first half booking affected his performance. Definitely needs to improve and hopefully will the more he plays in PL.

Agreed and was playing out of position (he plays center right normally) plus back from an injury and thrown in to a team with ten men at an away derby. With no Smalling, Jones and highly likely, no Rojo. Will be starting next week.

First half his passing was poor and slow. Upped his game in the second half and it was from that he run he did that the team suddenly started to look they could create something. Hopefully that was only cramp at the end!
