I’m in no way defending Mata, to me we bought a half decent number 10 & very rarely play him there...what I mean is Woodward & co May have been told Sancho or someone will come in 12 months, so there not going to buy 2nd or 3rd choice..mata is then the easy solution to renew.

I think we’re in a precarious position at the moment. Yes we need to get rid of deadwood, but at the same time if our no.1 target is not available for say 12 months then we are better keeping the more professional players. Mata has the right attitude and professionalism to help the youngsters...

Tottenham, Bayern Munich, Ajax, Dortmund, Athletico Madrid. That’s just to my knowledge, I have a friend who’s father works for an agency business. These clubs have had this for a while, Levy jumped onto it with spurs a few years back knowing the stadium would be a drain on resources etc...

I don’t get our fans sometimes....were crying out for some more talented hungry youngsters, and if they have pace to burn then great. Nothing strikes fear into defenders more then knowing your man can strip you for fun. About time we got some brutal pace into the lineup.

We need to do what other “clever teams” do, you sign a player on say 150k per week, then IF they hit specific team targets year on year then there’s a percentage rise to wages which reflects in the monies from wining competitions or finishing higher in the league. If they don’t then no rise...

I remember under fergie if we had a real bad game he would come out after the match with that Scot accent and say “you’ll not be seeing that level again”.....next week we’d rip someone to shreds and everyone of them would be at it. You have to demand the highest standards, anyone dropping below...

Of course he was right, you don’t win what he has without knowing the quality and mentality of players. The problem was how he went about it, and how he throws people under the bus instead of doing his thing behind the scenes....we would of been in a far better position now if he had of been...

Every week...sorry, oh we should do better, we know we can do better, the fans deserve better. In other words how the fcuk are we getting away with being paid this much money every week, when we know we’re bang average!

If we manage to get £130-150m we can buy to very good players for that in a squad that needs more depth in quality...I’d take that over someone on silly amounts prostituting himself out to others because times are hard.
